It’s here, it’s here! If for some reason you still haven’t seen it, we have the full official trailer for you right here. Watch the official trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, coming to theaters December 18, 2015.
If that doesn’t get you excited, you might need to check your pulse! This is one of the last bits of footage we’re going to see before the big reveal at the movie launch on December 18th. This trailer gives us a bit more insight into the story and introduces us to a new hero, Rey, as well as the arrival of Finn. They are hitting us hard in the feels with this one as this trailer focuses more on the emotions behind the story.
The story is set 30 years after the destruction of the Death Star and the apparent take down of the Empire. We’re led to believe that a lot has changed over that 30 years but we also get some insight into how some things have not changed. A masked Kylo says, “Nothing will stand in our way” as he promises to finish what Vader had started.
We also get a glimpse of Princess Leia in the arms of Han. She seems emotional, heightening the sensation for the nostalgic viewers at home. Abrams does seem to be keeping Luke Skywalker off screen, at least for now, as he wasn’t seen in this trailer at all.
We see Solo and Chewy, space battles with X-wings and TIE Fighters, lightsaber battles and more. This is going to be one awesome, exciting movie. It’s easy to see why so many people are buying their tickets already.
The Force – It’s calling to you. JUST LET IT IN.
