How to Level Fast in the Double XP Weekend

swtor-double-xp-620x350 Double XP weekend is here again and this is a great time to level up any alts or get your main toon to max level, or bring in friends and family over the holidays and help them get leveled up to max as well. If you take advantage of all the potential experience boosts, you could be looking at:

So you’re looking at…

100% for base xp gain

+20% for being a subscriber

+10% for being in a guild

+25% with a boost

multiplied by 2 for the XP weekend

You also get double the legacy xp perks for pvp and class missions. I believe the number was 310% for that and even higher with guild bonus. Sub bonus was already accounted for so you’re looking at:

100 + 25 (xp boost) + 30 (legacy perk) + 10 (guild bonus) * 2 = 330%

With a potential for 330%, you can see why it pays to play with these Double XP weekends. You could literally take a toon from start to max level in the one weekend if you have the time to play and do it right. So how do you do it “right”?

DISCLAIMER: Do not use this power leveling method if you are interested in the storyline. This is mainly recommended for players just looking to shoot an alt toon up as quickly as possible. Some players have reported being able to do it as quickly as 30-35 hours.

Ok so first step is to make your toon and get the faster speeder you can get. You want to be able to move from area to area and zone to zone as quickly as possible. Then you want to purchase every class mission, exploration bonus XP, and PvP and/or PvE bonus via the Legacy menu. Purchase all of your bag space so you can hold onto quest items as well as items to sell later. Get your gear that you want to use throughout the leveling process. You also want to be sure you have plenty of Major Experience boosts.

Now the early levels will be simple. You begin on your starter planet and do all the class quests. They will be pretty easy to do, then move on to your capital planet and get your ship quests. You may need to supplement with a couple of dailies to get you to about level 16.

Then  you can move on and from about levels 16 to 32, you can do at the following planets:

  1. Taris/Balmorra: 16-20
  2. Nar Shadaa: 20-24
  3. Tatooine: 24-28
  4. Alderaan: 28-32

If your quests go green, it’s time to go ahead and move on to harder quests.

Then you can move on to these areas:

  1. Taris/Balmorra: 32-37
  2. Hoth: 37-41
  3. Belsavis: 41-44
  4. Voss: 44-47

Do dailies if you need filler to get you through to the next zone. You can also run some flashpoints to get the extra experience you need to max out your levels.
