Patch 2.2a was deployed today, during scheduled maintenance. Below are the patch notes: Items and Economy The Advanced Black-Yellow Fortitude Crystal and SE Black-Green Color Crystal no longer have a vendor value. Encrypted Datacubes will no longer provide a Credit Boom reward option. The Major Experience Boost reward option from Encrypted Datacubes is now the Bind on Pickup version. Patch 2.2.1 Slated for 6/25 (Expected Paid Transfers)
A few days ago we wrote about the price for paid server transfers. Most people hoped that this transfers would come with game update 2.2 but unfortunately it was removed in the last minute. Yesterday Eric Musco had some update about it as he shed some light on the targeted date for patch 2.2.1. There are no guarantees that server transfers will be live with the next game update, but the devs are working on it. Hey folks, I just posted here, the current target date for 2.2.1 is 6/25. One thing I wanted to stress is that it is not a guarantee that transfers will be in 2.2.1. It is our goal to get them to all of you as fast as we can as a part of 2.2.1, but we will not release it until it is working correctly. -eric

Paid Transfers Delayed til 2.2.1
Apparently payed transfers are delayed again. This is abit of a bummer since they said transfers would be “right on the heels” of 2.1. Even thought disappointing you have to appreciate that they are trying not to bungle this when they launch it. If you pay $15 to transfer a character you will want all of the benefits of that character to also be transferred with them. The official forums are convinced that this delay will ruin the game and kill swtor. =) EricMusco Scheduled Maintenance: June 11th, 2013 [POSTPONED] | 06.10.2013, 03:19 PM Hey folks, I wanted to give you an update on Paid Character Transfers since I know you have been curious about it with the delay of 2.2. Unfortunately, we have come across some bugs that are present with Character Transfers, specifically around Achievements. We definitely want to insure that we are providing the best service possible when…
Game Update 2.2 Delayed
Eric Musco just informed the us via the official swtor forums, that Game Update 2.2 is delayed until further notice. Apparently there are some last minute bug fixes that is giving them trouble. To clarify two points in the thread. Although I don’t have exact timing yet, Game Update 2.2 will not be tomorrow (6/11) at all. The maintenance is delayed past tomorrow. As for the specific bug. What we needed to fix were some critical bugs inside of the the new Nightmare Mode Operation, which would need to be fixed before the Update went live. Upon implementing those fixes the Game Update itself became unstable. That is what we are working through now. Hope that gives a bit of insight. -eric

No news for SWTOR at E3 and no Cross-server PvP in game update 2.4
BioWare have been wearing the nay hat this week, as they came with a few disappointments. First off Bruce Maclean posted an update on the official forums, stating that Cross-server PvP is not comming with Game update 2.4. Major bummer for the ranked community: While the exact details of which features will make Game Update 2.4 are still being hardened I can definitely say that Cross-Server Queueing is not in the plan for it. We’ve taken a hard look at Cross Server Queuing in the past and accomplishing it is a *significant* challenge that would take a lot of time away from other things we are working on. Emphasis on significant. It’s not forever off the table but it’s not in the plan right now. Even though it is too early to share specifics I can say that Game Update 2.4 as it is being worked on right now has features and changes…
APAC/Oceanic Servers closing down
BioWare just sent a mail to all Asia Pacific players letting them know that servers will be closing down within the next few months. All players have been offered free server transfers, and remaining toons will be moved to west coast servers when the servers are taken offline. This doesn’t come as a shock to many people, but finally we got official confirmation about the shot down: IMPORTANT INFORMATION FROM STAR WARS™: THE OLD REPUBLIC™ Asia Pacific Server Consolidation / Free Character Transfer Greetings , We wanted to inform you that we are preparing to consolidate our Asia Pacific servers into our current West Coast North American servers. This will occur sometime in the next few months. Each of your characters on an Asia Pacific server is now allowed a free one-time transfer to any non-Asia Pacific server. Any characters remaining on an Asia Pacific server when the consolidation takes…
SWTOR Smuggler Scoundrel Leveling Build for game update 2.0
Smugglers are to Han Solo like bacon is to a BLT, they’re the smarmy gunslingers that know how to break the law and get through the toughest situations in Star Wars: The Old Republic. The Scoundrel advanced class is for those Smugglers who prefer the shadows over relying on their guns and the advanced class reflects that. While Gunslingers focus on ranged DPS, Scoundrels focus on stealth, ranged burst DPS, and healing. In this post the guys over at Swtorsavior are going to give you a build for the Smuggler Scoundrel in SWTOR for the 2.1 patch. The actual build will give you a solid DPS build while you are leveling. Underneath the video you will get some rotations that you can use with the build: As always I will recommend you to get the guide to get the full advantage of all swtorsavior.com amazing features. Image of the new Cartel Pack gives us our first glimpse at the new Huttball Uniforms?
Did you get an email from BioWare? Did you check out the image that came with it? What was that all about? Huttball uniforms and skimpy male armor? The new male armor looks alot like this armor we wrote about back in January don’t you think? Many players are speculating that there’s a Huttball uniform coming in the Archon’s Contraband pack, that comes with game update 2.2. Thinking about it, it’s hard not to disagree given that there’s a giant Rot Worm on the front of it. What do you guys think?

SWTOR Smuggler Gunslinger Leveling Build
Swtorsavior have released a new pve leveling build. This build is for the Smuggler using the Gunslinger advanced class in SWTOR. It is a PVE leveling build and as mentioned in the video is a good base if you want a solid leveling build as a Smuggler. Smugglers in SWTOR can become one of two advanced classes at level 10, a Scoundrel (Healer / DPS Class) or a Gunslinger (a pure DPS class). The Gunslinger uses 2 blasters for increased ranged dps. Gunslingers have three trees to choose talents from: Sharpshooter (DPS tree), Saboteur (DPS tree) and Dirty Fighting (a shared DPS tree shared with the Scoundrel Class). Below Is a good gunslinger builds to use for your smuggler so you do not have to waste valuble play time figuring out what gunslinger builds work 🙂 As always I will recommend you to get the guide to get the full advantage…

SWTOR website updated with full page devoted to Operation Nightmare
We leaned about the upcoming game update 2.2 more then a week ago, but now BioWare have devoted some pages on their website that highlight the update’s key features. Game Update 2.2 is the first of a two-part update for Nightmare modes, with Nightmare Terror From Beyond going live first and Legions of Scum and Villainy in 2.2.2 Both of these new game modes will give you access to the new sub-tier of gear, the Kell Dragon Armor. You can find a visual preview of the armor here. There’s also information on the high-level underworld crafting plans. Every five active members of your guild will now confer a 1% bonus to both experience gains as well as reputation earned,…
SWTOR free server transfers for APAC players begins June 4th
As we have talked about many times before, the APAC servers are more or less dead these days due to the various problems players have been experiencing such as lag. The solution to make sure APAC players are satisfied with the experience, BioWare is offering free server transfers from June 4th. According to Community Manager of BioWare Eric Musco, the free server transfers to all APAC players will begin in just a few days. Those who will take advantage of the server transfer can move to any servers they please in North America totally free. Still no word about paid server transfers, but with the free server transfers happening for APAC players, it should be next week as well, just in time for the big SWTOR Game Update 2.2. Check out Eric Musco’s forum post below: Hey everyone, I know you have been waiting a bit for an update and…
Dev Response: Why PvP Updates have been slow
So much drama in the SWTOR Forums LBC, It’s kinda hard bein’a BruceMaclean D-O-double-G. Ahem.. What I’m Trying To Say is, that yesterday Senior Producer Bruce Maclean, took on the forum posting an explanation to why new PVP updates are several months out. Hi Warforever! We are listening and do care. For what it’s worth I’m a PvPer too. PvP is one of our priorities and we are not going to do away with it. I’m not a big believer in making excuses, and can understand why it might feel like we are not focused on PvP, but here’s a bit of an explanation why the next big PvP update is several months out: PvP and Class Balance are the same team of guys. It makes sense that the designers working on one also work on the other. This means that raising the level cap to 55 for Rise of the Hutt Cartel last month…

Patch 2.1.1 scheduled for tomorrow if no other issues
BioWare will be taking down the servers tomorrow to deploy patch 2.1.1. It’s not 100% sure yet though, as the devs are struggling with some issues. Eric Musco posted this on the official forums: I wanted to give an update so I wasn’t leaving you guys hanging! Right now we look entirely on track to publish Game Update 2.1.1 tomorrow morning with maintenance. Assuming no other speed bumps jump out, Amber will be posting maintenance messaging and patch notes later today. Thanks everyone! Should anything change I will let you know but otherwise we are good to go for tomorrow. -eric
