You Can Now Play as LEGO Yoda in Star Wars Battlefront 2 (With Mods)
Tired of looking at an overly CGI-generated version of Yoda in Star Wars: Battlefront 2? Well, with the help of a mod by user Dulana57 on NexusMods you can change the character model for everyone’s favorite, green Jedi into a LEGO-style master of the Force. While the mod is purely cosmetic and only for Yoda, it’s still a nifty creation for your mod collection. The character model is well-made, semi-naturally fits in with the SWBF2 world, and is fully animated as well. On NexusMods this particular mod is titled “LEGO Yoda Mod. It’s available for download and use now. Mods can be a great way to breath new life into an aging game. There are a few decent ones available for Star Wars: Battlefront 2. It has been noted, however, that, due to developer restrictions, that it has been somewhat challenging for even the most dedicated modding champions to create…
SWTOR: Free Mini-pet to Celebrate Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’s Launch
The guys over at BioWare is giving away a free mini pet to all players, in celebration of the launch of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen order. We want to offer our heartfelt congratulations to our friends at Respawn on their amazing accomplishment. Friday, November 15th marks the beginning of an exciting new journey as players around the globe begin their adventures with Cal Kestis and his companion BD-1. We cannot wait to join them in a galaxy far, far away! As a studio that loves our Companions, we were especially drawn to BD-1. So, as a special congratulations to the Respawn team, we have built a new droid mini-pet inspired by BD-1. Since The Old Republic takes place thousands of years before the events in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, we worked with the Respawn team to make sure that our droid’s design was properly influenced by BD while also fitting within…
Star Wars Fan Short with 70s Look and Feel is Definitely Worth a Watch
Dark Empire Episode 1: The Destiny of a Jedi is a recently released short film from WilkinsAnimations. With a run-time of approximately 12 minutes, it’s definitely not the length that makes it stand out. Instead, it’s unique, 1970s-era animation style and great story line are what keep you interested. In fact, the short is so good it actually feels like a teaser – just casually wetting your appetite for a full-length episode. The creator does have additional episodes in the works, which is exciting because this talented artist may be able to bring in a big enough audience to capture the attention of the likes of Lucasfilm Animation. The story follows an adventure featuring Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca, C-3PO. R2-D2, and Luke Skywalker. The events take place a few years beyond the battle of Endor. A new, unknown disturbance within the force has appeared in the galaxy, threatening all…
The Mandalorian is Driving People to Disney+ Streaming Platform
There are lots of reasons to join Disney’s new streaming platform, Disney+. If you’re not familiar with it, think of it as the Netflix of Disney. It has everything from the classics to new releases, Marvel and Pixar, as well as Disney. But there is one show in particular that has a lot of people- especially Star Wars fans – flocking to the new streaming network. The Mandalorian. It’s a weekly episodic Disney+ original about a lone gunfighter who makes his way through the outer reaches of the galaxy. It has mixed reviews, with Slate saying, “It Looks Great, But So Far It Isn’t” and “has a big budget but little imagination”. Maybe we’re just super hungry for some new Star Wars content but most of the people I’ve talked to so far have enjoyed it. Maybe Slate was just being a bit overly critical… But despite what you think…
Star Wars Fan Film: Stormtrooper Target Practice
It’s fan film time again! You know how I love those. This one from Millquas Movies is so worth the watch. It’s a great concept, acted and shot well, and it’s truly comedy gold. It’s not new, but even if you saw it years ago, it’s worth watching it again. The first annual Storm Trooper Target Practice. Fan film made for the Star Wars fan film awards, 2015. Check it out: “You’re kind of tall to be a stormtrooper…” “Sorry sir, it won’t happen again.” Hilarious one-liners everywhere. This would be an amazing series. I’d tune in every week to see what shenanigans the Stormtroopers were getting into next. Seriously. What do you think? I thought it was a fun little short (under 8 mins) and now it has me daydreaming of my ROTC days if we were all Stormtroopers… haha
SWTOR: Crafting Changes Coming in December (6.0.2)
Eric Musco just took on the forums to inform the SWTOR community about upcomming changes to Crafting in Star Wars: The old Republic: Hey all, We have been reading your feedback since Onslaught launched (and of course from PTS beforehand) on your feelings on the current state of crafting. We agree with your feedback that it isn’t where we want it to be either. There are quite a few changes planned for 6.0.2 in December and we want to give you a preview of those changes today. As 6.0.2 will not have its own PTS, please use this thread to share your feedback on the changes. The materials required for “material combination” schematics was too high. We are making the following changes: Premium and Prototype material requirements have been reduced to 6 each (down from 10). Artifact material requirements have been reduced to 12 each (down from 15). The requirements…
Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order: Darth Vader & Ninth Sister Explained
If you’re anxiously awaiting the latest Star Wars game, Jedi Fallen Order, then it’s time to watch this great video by MassiveG because he gives us a nice breakdown of the Ninth Sister, who are the Sisters, the Inquisitors, and Darth Vader and how this all relates in terms of what we will see in Jedi Fallen Order. Who is Ninth Sister? How does Darth Vader tie into Jedi Fallen Order? Let’s find out. Check out the video for yourself here. Up until recently, we have not had a lot of information released about Jedi Fallen Order. They’ve been pretty tight-lipped about it, which is typical with these games, honestly. But in this video, we get a recap of all the things we know about the game so far. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a game where we play the Inquisitors? A Star Wars game where we can play…
Star Wars: The old Republic Nearing $1 Billion in Lifetime Revenue
Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR), a MMO developed by BioWare that released in late 2011, is apparently still a commercial success for EA. A recent earnings call from the publisher revealed that the game is currently coming very close to topping $1 billion in revenue. Now, that is over the course of about 8 years, but it’s still impressive nonetheless. SWTOR was an insanely expensive undertaking for EA to begin with. Reportedly, the game set the publisher back roughly $200 million for initial development costs. With that number alone, one would assume that translates to EA raking in nearly $800 million in pure profit, right? Well, keep in mind that the game is still being continually updated with new content, patches, and so on. There are STILL ongoing costs for development of the game. So, how much profit has EA actually pulled in with Star Wars: The Old Republic?…
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed | The Movie (All Cutscenes Only)
Here’s an oldie but goodie for you! This video from The Gaming Library from back in 2017 has all the cutscenes of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. There’s an explanation below of what it is and why they did it. And then you can get right to the video if you’ve never seen it for yourself. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed completely re-imagines the scope and scale of the Force to epic proportions. Players are cast into the role of Darth Vader’s secret apprentice, Starkiller, who has been trained to hunt down and destroy Jedi. During his quest, Starkiller will ally himself with a most unlikely set of heroes and be forced to make decisions that could change the course of his destiny and set events in motion that will forever shape the galaxy! This is a cutscene only video with no gameplay. We know some people don’t care about…

Will Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Answer the Call of Gamers?
The gaming industry for the past decade has been primarily centered around multiplayer-focused titles. As with most industries – times change. For years now, gamers have been making calls for developers to create more single-player, story-driven experiences rather than churning out online multiplayer titles year after year. Those calls have mostly fallen upon deaf ears, however. Why? Well, mostly because multiplayer games rake in huge money and keep player bases active for longer. Nevertheless, some developers are finally starting to see that narrative-heavy, non-multiplayer pieces have a good market as well. Respawn Interactive is delivering one in particular soon that has gamers hyped-up big time – Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Fallen Order is set a few years beyond Revenge of the Sith. The protagonist, Cal Kestis, is a previous Padawan currently on the run from the Empire after Order 66 was enacted. With the powers-that-be of the Dark Side…
How Jedi Killed Star Wars Galaxies
What really killed Star Wars Galaxies? SWG was one of the greatest Star Wars games of all time and it is still very well-loved. So, what made it die off? That’s a question that can open a can of worms because people have a lot of different opinions on it. But here’s a video that presents some interesting points. Star Wars Galaxies is still available on Amazon, if you want the disc for your collection, or you need it to play SWGEMU. Get SWG here. This video from saintmillion talks about how the real downfall of SWG was Jedis – or rather, how they handled the Jedi in the game. But a lot of the context for the video comes from Raph Koster, the original creator of the game. See below for the link to his blog where he did a postmortem on the game. There is now a book collecting…
SWTOR: Message from Keith Kanneg – Game Producer
Game producer for Star Wars: The old Republic Keith Kanneg, took over the forum syesterday with an update on what to expect with te game in the future. Hey everyone, It has been a while since I put out a post so I figured I would stop into the forums and get an update out to everyone. I’ll provide you with a brief update about what’s coming soon, but first and foremost want to address the issues we’ve been experiencing with our Tulak Hord server this past week. It’s being very stubborn and every time we think we have it nailed, it decides to kick some players from various areas in the game and won’t let them back in for a while. Not a great experience for anyone and I apologize we haven’t fixed it already. We believe it’s an intermittent hardware issue, making it difficult to isolate, so we’re…
Why Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Won’t Allow Dismemberment Too Often
Despite the fact that every true Star Wars fan knows and respects the limb-slicing capabilities of a lightsaber – we really haven’t seen much of it in the franchise’s video games. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order isn’t going to break the cycle either, says Aaron Contreras, the narrative lead at Respawn Entertainment. While the developers recognize that players would love to have the ability to chop off arms and other body parts – Respawn states that they prefer to save this gruesome display of power for pivotal moments in the story itself. A sentiment that they believe follows the same climatic experiences of the Star Wars movies. Star Wars games have, for the most part, been pretty conservative when it comes to gore and extreme violence. A few key moments in campaigns feature some brutal lightsaber action, but not much else. There have been titles where the gore levels were…
Star Wars: Heir to the Empire – Chapter 2

I covered Part 1 for you back in June so if you missed that, go check it out first. Chapter 2 of Heir to the Empire, by Timothy Zahn. Adapted into a short fanfilm. If you never read the Thrawn Trilogy, the whole trilogy of books is available via Amazon As the first three of many Star Wars spin-off novels, it marked the beginning of an era of rapid expansion of the Star Wars Expanded Universe. The titles of the three books are: * Heir to the Empire * Dark Force Rising * The Last Command…

Why EA Shifted to Single-Player with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past decade it’s probably challenging to understand how Electronic Arts (EA), a company that seems to know nothing but multiplayer titles and bad press, has made the decision to publish a game the likes of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. A single-player experience with no opportunities for season passes or loot boxes? Something seems off. That is EA’s modus operandi, after all. How did EA of all companies wind up making the decision to shift to a single-player, campaign-driven title? To be fair, they do have a few titles with great stories behind them. This still is, however, the company that has produced a couple Star Wars games already that have practically ZERO narrative and are solely focused on multiplayer (yes, we’re referring to the Battlefront games). Nevertheless, here we are – with Electronic Arts being the publisher putting out Star…
Star Wars: Battlefront 2’s The Rise of Skywalker Drops Next Month
Getting a little bored with Star Wars: Battlefront 2 and need a reason to keep playing or take another look at it? Well, December may very well be your best chance to do so. The entire month has been dubbed a “celebration month” by EA DICE and it all kicks off with the addition of The Rise of Skywalker content for SWBF2. The developers have been tight-lipped when it comes to what to actually expect from the Skywalker update, unfortunately. It’s probably safe to assume, however, that we will see the addition of some new maps and possibly a new character or two. This new content update is, of course, due out just before the theatrical release of the new movie – Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. The movie will hit theaters on December 20th and is a continuation of the latest series of Star Wars films beginning with…
Star Wars Battlefront Franchise Sales Exceed 33 Million Copies
Despite going through a rough period of consumer upset over including microtransactions (loot boxes, to be specific), Electronic Arts’ Star Wars: Battlefront franchise has performed quite well. On a quarterly earnings call, EA announced that the combined sales of Star Wars Battlefront and its sequel are now over 33 million. The first Battlefront title, released in late 2015 and developed by DICE was a reboot of the shooter series released on PC, Mac, PlayStation 2, and Xbox. The sequel, Star Wars: Battlefront 2, which came out in November of 2017, released with a campaign mode in addition to multiplayer gameplay. Numerous DLC expansions were released for both titles as well as regular updates to each game. This has been noted as a primary reason that both SWBF and SWBF2 have kept their fan base alive and well. DLC packs released for Star Wars: Battlefront include: Post-launch content for Battlefront 2…
EA Games and EA Access Coming to Steam with Launch of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
In a bit of a surprise announcement, Electronic Arts recently stated that all of the publisher’s games and it’s EA Access subscription service will be making an appearance on Steam. It all begins with the launch of the long-awaited Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order which is slated to release on November 15th, 2019. In the months following the release of Fallen Order more and more of EA’s titles will be added to Steam. It’ll be a slow and steady process, but, eventually, even the likes of mega-hits such as Apex Legends and Battlefield 5 will be available for download via Steam’s service. In addition to individual games being added we’ll also see EA Access made available via Steam. This is currently tentatively set to start sometime in the Spring of 2020. EA Access is a subscription service that gives players the ability to play a plethora of titles for one,…
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Developer Interview Digs Into Decision of Going the Single-Player Route
A single-player, narrative-based Star Wars title has been a rarity in the gaming industry for the better part of 10 years now. The last true story-drive game within the franchise prior to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II which made its debut in 2008. The announcement of a new single-player title in the Star Wars universe was a surprise on its own. Combine that with the fact that it’s being published by none other than EA and you’d probably think the news were a farce had we not gotten a concrete launch date, trailers, and more at this point. Electronic Arts isn’t exactly known for having a great public image with gamers these days. Plus, they’re notorious for putting out nothing but multiplayer titles riddled with microtransactions (up until Battlefront 2, at least). So, what made EA of all publishers decide to take up…

Star Wars: Galaxy Of Heroes Event Calendar – November 2019
Here is a list of some of the upcoming events in Star Wars: Galaxy if Heroes for November 2019. As allways you have to remember that all dates are subject to change. DISCLAIMER: ALL DATES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE. Daily Login Character for November: Royal Guard Royal guard? thats weird in the middle of the transition from Episode 2-3 content to 8-9…. some event related with the emperors shuttle maybe? They had Emperor’s shuttle in the $20 pack they had in the store the last day or two. I’m not sure what kind of an event would require palps shuttle though… at least, not with the current content roll they’re on (as you acknowledged). I do anticipate a sith capital ship helmed by malak or nihlius to drop at some point, but… with kenobi just hitting the arena now and malevolence presumably on the way, that sounds weird to me. Anyways. Here it…
