Star Wars Battlefront 2: Official Gameplay Trailer

So the new Star Wars Battlefront 2: Official Gameplay Trailer just hit the internet… Kashyyyk, Kamino, starkiller base, Yavin, holy shit. Did y’all see that wookiee. First shown at E3 in Los Angeles, the new trailer demonstrates just how expansive it will be, pulling in characters, locations, and vehicles that cover the entire 40-year history of the saga. It even has those Phantom Menace battle droids ( they look pretty dope eh? ) That beginning shot of the The First Order switching to Stormtroppers switching to Clones with the lightning flashes is so awesome. We’re still early in the hype cycle for the game, but this might be good guys. Story mode seems interesting to. What do you thing guys? Did EA just redeem itself? Holy shit. If they can deliver on what this trailer promises…. this will be one of the greatest games. And I’m just so happy prequels aren’t ignored…

Star Wars Dominates Mobile Gaming Market by Covering all Bases

Platforms such as Android and iOS (iPhone and iPad) control the bulk of the mobile market. Chances are, you or someone you know owns at least one device powered by one of those two platforms. No matter which platform you play on, there are a few commonly shared traits. More than likely you are playing using the touch screen only (i.e., not using a bulky Bluetooth controller accessory). You have Internet access either via cellular data or via local Wi-Fi. If you are reading this then you are obviously a Star Wars fan. Being a mobile gamer today and a fan of the legacy in a galaxy far, far away is a good thing to be. The question is, has it always been this good for fans of the story George Lucas started? Star Wars fans have some of the widest choices in games to play. From collectible card games…

Bingo For Cash’s One Sure Strategy: Play The Averages

When playing online Bingo for cash, nothing is quite so destructively seductive as math. One so-called “system” after another purports to tell players how to clean up in bingo for cash games . Time after time, just by knowing which cards to reject and which to buy makes this a reality. One game after another demonstrates that these systems seem sound in theory but almost always crumble in practice with a narrow few exceptions. In fact, there’s only one even somewhat-solid modus operandi for picking Bingo for cash cards. Even that proven edge is a very slim one, and rarely enough to really “take” the house in one of the purest games of chance. Granville & Tippett Two otherwise remarkable statisticians and analysts can lay claim to the most widely – and mistakenly – accepted theories of finding order in a Bingo for cash draw’s chaos. Stock market pundit Joseph…

Cancelled TIE Fighter vs X-Wing 2 Gameplay

What could be better than a Star Wars flight sim? Like most of you, I love Star Wars. I grew up loving Star Wars. There are so many things to love about the films, the characters, the story, and the universe. However, one thing that I loved more than anything else was the flying. As a little girl growing up, I wanted to be a pilot. I worshiped Top Gun and I used to love going to my friend’s house to play Microsoft Flight Simulator. So of course, when I watched Star Wars, I adored the flight scenes. From TIE Fighters to X-Wings to ships made from piles of junk and massive Star Destroyers, I loved them all. I loved in-space fights, races, and even just the typical “boring” flights from one planet to another. You can imagine then, that nothing would make me happier than a Star Wars game…

A Mother’s Hope – SWTOR Story Blog

If there is one thing BioWare is good at, it is story. Actually I’ll go as far as saying that it is the best story creating video game creating company in the industry. Here is the prove. a short story on Vaylin and Senya written by our main man Drew Karpyshyn. Senya braced herself as she began her descent; the polluted atmosphere of Ord Mantell made turbulence common. Tightening her grip on the controls, she fought to stabilize the shuttle as it rattled and bucked. A sharp, high pitched beep rose from the back of the ship, the various machines hooked up to Arcann’s unconscious body in the makeshift med-bay signaling in protest as they were jostled by the rough ride. She was coming in fast and steep, making the turbulence worse. But the longer she stayed airborne, the greater the chance sensors from the surface would pick her up. The…

Star Wars: Battlefront’s Death Star DLC Nails it!

Star Wars: Battlefront’s latest DLC, called Death Star, was preceded by an insane amount of buzz, but when it landed, it actually fulfilled all expectations and more. In fact, its only shortcoming is that it’s way too short and that it brings less content than one would like. That is not to say there isn’t enough new content in the DLC. It’s all just so seamless and well-integrated into the movie-universe, that while playing, one actually feels like he/she is taking an active part in Star Wars canon. It makes people hungry for more, while indeed promising them a lot more in – as yet hypothetical – future expansions. There are so many great ideas, so many opportunities and potential offered by the Star Wars universe, it’s almost impossible for the devs to get things wrong from here on out. While everything is superbly rendered in the game, there are…

SWG “Winter”: A Review

Have you been wondering what people are thinking of the SWG server “Winter”? This isn’t meant to be a space to bash on other servers or things you don’t like but definitely a place to talk for a bit about Winter and see an opinion from someone who used to play in the SOE days. So far, the consensus seems to be very positive about this server. That said, let’s take a look at what one player thinks of the server. This review from  Kimaria, who is not a dev or biased person, but just a player getting to test things, is very helpful if you’ve been wondering if you should try it for yourself: I’ve been testing there for over a month now and am floored by the amount of work that has been done. Server stability is excellent. Bugs are being addressed on a daily basis and staff…

SWTOR: The Academy, Ep 15 – “Codes & Creeds”

It’s that time again – time for another episode of The Academy. This one, episode 15, will tell you all about codes and creeds. There are many codes and creeds in the Star Wars universe so you will also see them throughout SWTOR. One of the first you will hear in the game is the Jedi Code: There is no death, there is only the Force.  There is no emotion, there is peace. There is no ignorance, there is knowledge. There is no passion, there is serenity. There is no chaos, there is harmony. There is no death, there is the Force. They then go on to tell you the code of the Sith, which is basically the opposite of the Jedi Code. Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory. Through victory, my chains…

Star Wars Game Almost Had Luke Skywalker’s and Han Solo’s Sons Face Off

The world of Star Wars canon is a rich a busy one at all times apparently, as there are always people plotting and scheming, looking for various ways to further the stories of the characters and their offspring, thus creating opportunities for more games, movie episodes and generally: more Star Wars action. Some of the ideas these people come up with are questionable at best while others border on the genius: it has recently been revealed that at one point  few years ago, there were plans for an original trilogy game which would’ve featured a storyline quite reminiscent of the Star Wars: the Force Awakens storyline, had it come to fruition. The first clue about the existence of the said project was dropped by a book which focused on the history of LucasArts. In that book, there were a few logos featured for potential Star Wars games, one of them…

Star Wars Commander Soars in China

Chinese mobile game company, MGE, said that Star Wars: Commander has become a No. 1 hit in China, generating more than 1 million downloads in just four days. This is a huge sign that Western content is popular in China and that the love for Star Wars is truly universal. The Chinese love Star Wars as much as we do. Venture Beat goes on to explain a little more about this: Licensed from Disney, CMGE (China Mobile Games and Entertainment Group) tailored this Clash of Clans-like strategy game for the Chinese market and promoted on the many app stores in that country. That’s consistent with a trend of Western developers partnering with local Chinese companies to take their work to China, which has become the biggest market in the $30 billion mobile gaming industry. The Chinese mobile game market is about 51.4 billion renminbi, or about $7.8 billion, and it has more than…

Did You Know Gaming Takes a Look at Cancelled Star Wars Games

If you’re a regular reader, you know that we’ve written about cancelled and unreleased Star Wars games quite a bit here. We love Star Wars gaming and do our best to follow the games from idea, to production, to creation, and release, just like we did with SWTOR. With that in mind, we’ve seen many potentially great games just not make it to one stage in the process. Some were put on hold, others cancelled for good. It always hurts a bit to see a potentially great Star Wars game get the axe. Did You Know Gaming has a recent episode on Star Wars games that was released just before Christmas. If you haven’t seen it yet, it’s well worth the less-than 10 minutes it will take to give it a watch because they have some things to say about these cancelled Star Wars Games, as well as facts on…
