The Sith Inquisition: Sorcerer Healing Build

The guys over at swtorsavior.com has created a video showing some excellent builds. Over the next few days, we will be showcasing some of the best builds they have come up with, but if you want the full advantage of  there guides, you have to buy the swtorsavio guide, which is available here. Here is a build that you can use if you are playing as a healer with the Sith Inquisitor Sorcerer. Please read the notes about this build: Dark Heal – First healing skill that you pick up and later on should only be used if you need to stop someone from dying fast. Dark Infusion – use Infusion to replace Dark Heal as soon as you can as you are leveling up, again the only time you need to go back to Dark Heal is to stop someone from falling and emergencies. You can also use Static Barrier as well as Dark Heal to help tanks. Once you…

The Sith Inquisition: Is That Fear I Smell?

Greetings Sithizens, Launch has happened. The galaxy has felt the scarring power that the Dark Side brings, cleansing weak from strong and enslaving those that no longer can stand for themselves. The Sith Inquisition has begun organizing to purge the last remnants of Jedi from the Republic and solidify our unquestioned victories throughout the Empire and Republic. Throughout all this, we have been active on both our twitter and youtube channels posting starship loads full of content and news, you’ll find links to both at the bottom of the channel. We come here today to discuss one major topic with you, and that is fear. Fear is our tool, one that the weak Jedi ignore, feel is too vile and corrupting for their own good. This opinion piece doesn’t touch on Jedi or Sith, but on competing companies against Bioware and EA. Through our research and thanks in part to…

Friday Update: Sith Inquisitor Character Progression

Yesterdays Friday update brought us the last remaining character progression video, featuring the Sith Inquisitor. This is kind of a historic update, as it is the last update before early access begins. As you progress in Star Wars™: The Old Republic™, your character will acquire new skills and abilities that complement their more powerful weapons and armor. Feared across the galaxy for both their mastery of the Dark Side of the Force™ and their ability to manipulate those around them, even those within the Empire know to watch themselves when in the presence of a Sith Inquisitor. Some acolytes who complete the trials use their newfound powers to channel the Force into devastating mental and lightning attacks. Others command the Force to deceive their enemies both in conversation and on the battlefield.

SWTOR Level 50 Gear (Screenshots)

Not everyone got far enough into the beta testing/ game testing of SWTOR to be able to see level 50 gear. You may not have ever even seen a level 50, much less achieved the level cap for yourself. Here are some screenshots of the different classes with level 50 gear so you can see what it all looks like. The poster says: “High settings but with no AA forced on. Male human body type 2.Keep in mind this is just the gear available at vendors in the fleet, there’s still tons of other gear styles out there such as boss loot, quest rewards and crafting. So if you’re thinking oh man thats ugly, never fear, there shall be alternatives. Also: mod system!Apologies for no Republic stuff” So here you go! Have a look and let us know what you think. TOR TV: The Inquisitor Takes You Through Athiss

Greetings good Sithizens and other lowly Jedi. Normally we make our Sith Inquisition posts here on Thursdays, but we just finished production on a very impressive video yesterday and we wanted to share it with all of you. This is a full playthrough of the Planet Athiss flashpoint from the perspective of the Inquisition’s Lord himself. We go through all three major bosses and get a basic grasp of the mechanics, as well as the trash and mechanics of the flashpoint overall. It’s just under an hour long, and brought to you in full 1080p eye bleeding quality. Feel free to ignore the chatter throughout the video, we were discussing the flashpoint, some basic mechanics, and other happening during the last day of beta, but I turned it down specifically so the audio of the flashpoint could be heard. You can find more great videos of The Old Republic Here!

The Sith Inquisition Marches Onward

Greetings swtorstrategies.com, we are The Sith Inquisition. Myself and the rest of my team are all diehard Imperials, and would rather shed our own blood as Sith than let the Republic overcome us. For a few weeks now we’ve been putting out Empire side news and opinion updates, recently being enhanced by a few pieces of beta video content, and now we’re happy to be invited to do a weekly column right her on swtorstrategies.com. You can look forward to a lot of news and opinion on the dark side and the Empire, although we do also like to put out general news content when it’s applicable. One thing we’ll be doing is short news broadcasts through twitter at least once a week, possible coinciding with the posts we’ll be putting up here. We’ll also be keeping you up to date on major roleplay and PvP activities that we’re emailed…

TOR TV: Sith Inquisition on Nar Shaddaa

The Sith Inquisition have submitted 3 beta videos showing some action on the smugglers moon of Nar Shaddaa. These vidio’s introduces us to the basic story premise of what the Sith Inquisitor is up to on this planet, as well as some space mission action in the last of the 3 videos. Unfortunately they are recorded on a pretty crappy computer ( I belive it’s recorded on a lab top), but the commentary adds up for most of it. Check it out below:

Intergalactic Intel: Smuggler and Sith Inquisitor

I tapped my foot impatiently. “Hurry up!” “I’m coming!” My friend, Varric, exited his apartment with his massive tower in hand. “Why are you so eager to start?” “There was a 2 hour wait to get on yesterday. I don’t want waste any time. Besides everyone else is already set up.” He opened his mouth puzzlement. “How many people are over there?”“Mmm about 6 of us…” This was gonna probably be the best beta weekend yet. Welcome to another installment of Intergalactic Intel! I apologize for the late article post, with the Thanksgiving weekend, and beta weekend I have been quiet busy. Even now as I type this my friends are telling me to stop and throw the ball in hutt ball. A few reminders, the NDA has been lifted so I’ll be trying to blab as much as I can about the Sith Inquisitor and Smuggler classes today. In…

Pax Prime 2011: Sith Sorceror PvP Gameplay

Darthhater captured some Alderaan Warzone PvP action showing some Sith Sorceror PvP Gameplay in SWTOR. If you pay attention to the movie, it looks like he only use the same two skills over and over. This is not the case though – He uses every skill that’s available to him. It’s just that they all have some kind of lightning animation, so they all look the same. Madness spec almost gets worse higher up in the talent tree. A lot of people will just spam Force Lightning (3s channel, dd/snare,power return, two hand anim) and then a bunch of instants when they are up. I still think it looks fun, especially with Corruption hybrid spec. Check it out below:

SWTOR sith inquisitor skill trees

The skill trees for the sith inquisitor hit the interwebs earlier today and alterswtor.com was the first of the leaking sites to host them. It’s missing a tree from either sorc or assassin though. Is it just me or do they look like they’re gonna play a little like an Elemental Shaman from WoW? Little melee thrown in with other skills too. Definitely gonna pick an inquisitor now.

E3: gameplay footage day 1

First day of E3 is long gone and it’s time to recap on all the gameplay videos that hit us yesterday. GameSpot has around seven minutes worth of footage to go over. These are raw, unedited gameplay clips and as such they don’t look as ‘pretty’ as the previous gameplay trailers we’ve seen, but they do give us a little more insight into how the gameplay, particularly with groups, will play out. Check out the background music in the clips, they are absolutely killer! Gamespot Tanks perspective: SWTOR Life – Tatooine Sith Inquisitor Gameplay   Swtor-Life had some time to play the Sith Inquisitor on Tatooine, so naturally some Krayt dragon’s had to die 🙂 The video is captured by camera, but still nice watch. Ask A Jedi – Tatooine Gameplay   The guys over at Ask A Jedi also got some video footage from Tattoine. This video showes some nice footage of player transportation and the player map, as well as some…

SWTOR Combat Animations Compilation … so far!

Youtuber logun24x7 has created a awesome compilation video of all the combat animations we have seen in Star Wars: The old republic so far. It’s interesting to see how the animations have developed over the last few years – as Logun also points out: We often see people criticize the animations in SWTOR and true, some of the earlier animation still needed work however I think we have seen a continued improvement over the last year’n a half. What seems to fly under the radar is the sheer amount of animations in this game. Never mind the cinematics, and just looking at the combat Bioware has shown we have seen a huge number of animations, and I mean real animations not just a reused generic sword swings with a different colored particle effect attached. For my own amusement I pieced together every combat animation I could find into one video….

In the Recent Star Wars Insider Magazine #121, James Ohlen revealed a lot about almost every aspect of Star Wars: The Old republic. For hard-core followers of the game, there isn’t much new information, but there is a few interesting statement, concerning casual content: “A lot of people are scared of massively multiplayer games because a lot of MMOs can become a grind… We’ve chosen to avoid that. We always give the player a story to drive the game forward. One of the more Interesting part of the Article is where Ohlen is speaking about the Sith Storyline. He explains about one of the first tasks that need to be done will be to kill your master. When that is done you need to locate a jedi and corrupt him. Furthermore he is outlining how the decisions you make affect the story you experience but also effect your character customization….

The planet is a Republic world torn apart by a civil war waged by separatist rebels. As a smuggler, we played as a Twi’lek, which is the humanoid Star Wars race that has long tentacles down either side of their heads, similar to the Bib Fortuna character in Return…
