The guys over at Dice is keeping them self bussy. Here is a look of what is comming in Star Wars: Battelfront 2 the rest of the year. Let’s dive in, but before that… AUGUST August kicks off with both the Separatist Dreadnought and Republic Venator becoming playable in Heroes vs Villains. Since the release of Capital Supremacy this addition has been highly requested, and we’re incredibly happy to be adding them to our rotation. We’ve taken areas within both capital ships and turned them into playable locations that we believe will be great for the small-scale Hero gameplay. After watching discussions around Capital Supremacy and, in particular, the Capital Ship phase. We’ve made some changes to the interiors of both Capital Ships. The assault on the Capital Ship will continue to have two sub-phases, but both are evolving. Once you’re breached the enemy ship, you have five minutes to…

Star Wars: Battelfront 2 patch notes june 26

Here are the patch notes for tomorrows Game update in Star Wars: Battlefront. DROIDEKAS Arriving this week will be one of the most requested additions to Star Wars™ Battlefront™ II, the Droideka. One of the most feared droids finally joins the Separatist army, wielding twin blasters and personal deflector shield generators, making them a formidable foe for anyone that faces off against them in combat. Destructive weaponry and a powerful shield aren’t their only characteristics, as the ability to transform and swiftly relocate has become synonymous with the Droideka. TX-130 The TX-130 will provide the Galactic Republic with an armored fighting vehicle that is both quick and defensive. The speed allows the TX-130 to enter into battle, deal damage, and then make its escape; a great balance between agility and power. NABOO JOINS CAPITAL SUPREMACY This month we’re bringing Capital Supremacy to Naboo. The conflict has spread to the capital…

Star Wars Republic Commando - Basic is Best

Star Wars Republic Commando – Basic is Best

Sometimes you just need to go back to the basics to do a game right. In today’s modern age of video games, we see all the bells and whistles. And sometimes, we want ’em. But other times, all that fancy stuff gets in the way of an otherwise good game. Have you ever wanted to play a game so bad but then you try it and all the shiny stuff they wanted to cram in there took away from the actual gameplay and story? Or maybe you couldn’t even play it on your system because they wanted to go crazy with graphics and other elements? There is something to be said about keeping it simple. Sometimes the most basic game can be the best game. That’s what people are saying about Star Wars Commando right now. Originally released in February of 2005, the first-person shooter came with some setbacks for…

Star Wars Battlefront 2 - Chosen One patch notes

Star Wars: Battlefront 2 – Chosen One patch notes

Here are the full patchnotes for yesterdays game update for Star Wars: Battelfront. There are big changes coming to the Clone Trooper legions with each Trooper Class now getting their own look, relevant to the legion that they are a part of. This also sees the first time that Officers will be able to equip Clone Trooper armour. Additionally, there’s been a lot of discussion around stuns and their effect on the flow of gameplay. With stuns now having a lower duration and a short immunity once you have been stunned, we’re looking forward to seeing how these changes improve the experience. ANAKIN SKYWALKER Anakin’s power and skill were virtually unmatched, though his overconfidence and anger could get the better of him. Even still, when innocent people were in danger, he would never hesitate to put his life on the line to save them. When his friends needed his help,…

Star Wars Rogue Squadron 3D

Replaying the Classics: Star Wars: Rogue Squadron 3D

I do love going back in time and replaying some of my favorite games, especially when they are Star Wars games! Following this series on StarWars.com has me wanting to play all of the old golden hits all over again. In Replaying the Classics, StarWars.com revisits Star Wars games of yesteryear, examining why we loved them then and why they stand the test of time. This article covers the playing of Rogue Squadron, which was honestly one of my favorites back in the day, so I was very excited to see it being revisited. It was inspired by the Rogue Squadron comic books of the mid-90s (which I fondly remember from my youth) and was an aerial shooter style game. It was created for the N64 with the single-thumbstick gamepad when it first released but you can play it on your PC now with your favorite controller or joystick and it still…

Battlefront II – The Clone Wars Roadmap

Electronic Arts’ Battlefront II, the successor to the previous Battlefront iteration, made headlines after becoming one of the most controversial games of the modern gaming era. While it had all the potential to be endless amounts of fun, many felt that the way EA integrated microtransactions made the game a chore to play, and awarded those that spent the most money. With a “pay-2-win” system that saw some of the rarer abilities up for sale to whoever could afford them, there was a time when Battlefront II was built to favour those with the buying power. Large backlash from the gaming community, and even some government officials calling their practices out as gambling, similar to online pokies, EA decided to pull much of the microtransaction systems from the game, and as of yet, the game remains much more friendly to newcomers than it once was. Despite the controversy, Battlefront II…

Star Wars: Force Arena – 8/9 Update Details

Tomorrow will see a new game update For Star Wars: Force Arena. This update features adjustments made on the arena to improve the overall experience of the game. For details, please see below: ■ Game Mode Balance Patch 2 vs 2 Arcade Mode Balance improvements were made to the popular 2 vs 2 Arcade Mode. In this mode, there had been a strategy to constantly strike an opponent’s middle turret with an airborne support card and a specific leader. It was decided that this undermined the strategic diversity and fairness of the game. Therefore, in this patch, the amount of damage to the middle turret and Shield Generator will be adjusted while the effectiveness of support cards in general combat is maintained so that Squad Leaders can enjoy a fairer 2 vs 2 Arcade Mode. ■ Balance Adjustments A Balance Patch has been made on the cards listed below. All numbers listed…

Star Wars: Force arena – 6/14 Update Details

Another update is here again! This features some balance adjustments to give more exciting experiences in the arena. All numbers listed in the Balance Patch are based on the cards at Level 1. Dark Side Unit Balance Supreme Leader Snoke Snoke is a Dark Side Leader with a relatively high win rate in Force Arena. His physical strength and maneuverability are weak, but it is compensated by his powerful attacks and skills that uses the Force, which made it easier to stop enemies in their tracks. This has become a huge disappointment to Squad Leaders who face against him, especially those who use melee ranged Leaders. It has been decided that Snoke’s…

Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes: Content Update 4/11/2018

Here are the update notes for todays 4/11/2018 Content Update! RAID REWARDS REBALANCE The Sith Triumvirate Raid rewards have been rebalanced. An outline of the reward rebalance can be found in this post: Dev Blog – Sith Triumvirate Raid Rewards – 4/2/18 NOTE: With the flattening of raid rewards, top ranking players (particularly in the Heroic) may see lower drop rates of fully crafted gear pieces, and (for some ranks) lower aggregate numbers of direct gear salvage drops. This has been offset by several factors, including: Increase in quality of complete piece AND salvage drops Higher payout of Guild Event Tokens and Guild Currency We are closely monitoring the ability of the current Stores to effectively sink this currency on the gear and shards players need. In the coming weeks, we will be significantly expanding these stores to provide what players need the most, and with more convenience. Greater benefit…

Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes – Character Release and Event Cadence

Here is the latest developer blog from the guys over at Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes. This one is addressing a lot of questions people have asked, and clarifies the character release cadence and explains the details of Marquee events. Hello my Holotable Friends! Recently Carrie introduced me as Nick Reinhart in the Developer Q&A, but you all know me more commonly on the forums as CG_TopHat. I’m the Live Producer on the team which, admittedly, sounds like a made-up job. The Live team is responsible for the day to day stuff that you do in Galaxy of Heroes. We plan and design characters and ships, events, and raids, are responsible for the tuning of the game, and a myriad of other things. We also schedule the majority of stuff on a monthly basis and we’d like to update and clarify a few things around the character release cadence, as well as Marquee, Legendary, and Hero’s…
