The Best April Fools’ Gag this Year

Really, if you weren’t already a Netflix lover, would this not make you subscribe immediately? ““Happy April Fools’ Day! Darth Maul makes his live-action series debut on Netflix! A mysterious, dark power is butchering those on both the light and dark side of the Force.” Directed and Shot by Sean Finnegan Seriously, this looks awesome. If you didn’t know already, it was just an April Fool’s joke from IGN and that’s really too bad because it would make a great series. Star Wars fans everywhere can cry like that poor little boy who’s dad let him watch not knowing it was prank. May we all go to our beds and bawl our eyes out because this will never come to be. SWTOR Dev Blog – Vacation

BioWare posted a new short story called Vacation and features the upcoming companion Nico Okarr: Vacation Even by Outer Rim standards, the Sarlacc and Loaded cantina was considered the end of the line. Smoke sullied by the stench of bodily fluids and putrid food assaulted the nostrils. Except for a flickering sign above the bar, it was dark and muggy. Sand carpeted the floors and seats. Customers didn’t frequent the Sarlacc–only regulars–the same five sorry slobs who sat in the same chairs, drinking the same drinks, and mumbling the same woes day in and day out. Under normal circumstances, a man like Seamus Kaldo wouldn’t send his servants to such an establishment, much less visit himself. But the trail had led him here and Seamus was in too deep to stop now. No one had looked up when they entered. Unless provoked, the Sarlacc’s finest were content to keep their faces…

Developer Blogs: Regrets

BioWare posted a new story blog post leading up to next patch update. This one is titled Regrets: Jace Malcom pulled at the cuff of his sleeve. Living most of his life in uniform, he was used to things fitting a certain way. The leather jacket previously hiding in the back of his closet was tight around the shoulders and out of style, judging from the upturned noses of the restaurant’s other clientele. Despite his position as Supreme Commander, Jace generally didn’t frequent establishments in the Senate District, preferring a more casual atmosphere. However, Thranta’s Respite was known to serve an authentic roast gorak, a dish he’d grown fond of from his time on Alderaan. He hoped the food was better than the decor. The Killik-silk tablecloths and delicately carved oro wood menus were overshadowed by gaudy holographic vistas of the Alderaanian country-side. All pre-civil war of course. Jace exhaled and…

Potential Star Wars Episode VII Leak from 4Chan [Warning: Possible spoilers within. Read at your own risk]

These new leaks supposedly comes from a Lucasfilm employee who provides some details on various aspects of the upcoming Star Wars movie: The Force Awakens. We cannot verify if any or all of the rumored information provided in this post is considered new material or if it is just a roundup of existing rumors that have already been posted before, but it is still a quite interesting read. The film is dystopian and darker than Empire. Some 30-40 years have passed since Return of the Jedi, and the Empire and New Republic have been locked in a war of attrition. Everyone is languishing and sick of the war. The script, which is described as “too good for JJ Abrams”, begins in space, above a desert planet — presumably Tatooine. The opening crawl details the ongoing turmoil in the galaxy. How the fall of the Emperor left a void of power,…

Results for Conquest Week 4 – The Dread War

I wanted to point out a few interesting bits. The Harbinger once again shows that have some seriously dedicated guilds. Their lowest score by the wampa stampers beating the highest scores on most other servers. Once again on Jedi Covenant; Rancor Bait , Working as Intended , Hellbent , and Holocron get early leads on each of their planets and never drop below first place. Early on in the week they had first place secure. On Jung Ma the battle for Section X and Oricon were close. Until Sunday Umbra  seemed to have first place secure. But late on Sunday the remnants of hope finally managed to get past them and get first place. On Oricon, Uncharted Space and nightmare squadron kept going back and forth for first place. Few…

Consolidated Bugs List

With a new major game update, comes lots and lots of new bugs. Here is a list of the stuff that the BioWare developers are aware of. Honestly I expected worse or more bugs with this game update, considering how buggy the PTS was, so I am fairly happy about the patch so far! Post 1 Source CourtneyWoods Unintended Patch Download | 10.02.2013, 09:38 AM Hey everyone, I have an update for you. Unfortunately, if you started downloaded the 12 gig patch on Monday, you will have to finish that download. There were multiple different builds that were incorrectly deployed that afternoon and you will have to download the 12 gig download to get the up to date version of the game. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused to those affected. I know this isn’t the ideal solution but this is the only safe fix to the problem other…

Official Corellian Defender Lego set revealed

GrooveBricks have some new images of the upcoming Official Corellian Defender Lego set. We discussed the prototype back in September last year, were the creator needed 10k supporters to get Lego to make it. Apparently we are there now, and will hit the shelves some time this summer. The Defender-class light corvette was a specialized vessel built for the Jedi Order, which they used throughout the Cold War and subsequent Second Great Galactic War. It was heavily shielded, and was armed with two sets of dual laser cannons and a complement of missiles. This new Old Republic looks fantastic in my opinion! LEGO did a great job replicating the original Jedi Defender Cruiser from the Star Wars Old Republic universe. If you compare the original HERE to the LEGO version they pretty much look identical except for the fact that the LEGO version looks a bit chubby. This set includes a total of 927 pieces and it comes along with 4 Old Republic minifigs: Sith…

The Old Republic: Annihilation Cover Art Info

Drew Karpyshyn has announced on his website that the two characters on the back cover of his upcoming novel; The Old Republic: Annihilation are indeed Darth Karrid, the Falleen and Jedi Master Gnost-Dural, the Kel Dor and narrator of the Timeline videos for The Old Republic. Drew says on his blog: The man on the front is Theron Shan, the main protagonist. I’ve had some people ask if he was modeled after me. (People asked the same thing about the default image of Commander Shepard as well.) I guess I can see it, since we do share some features: white guys with shorter, darker hair; two eyes, one nose. But beyond that… not so much. On the back cover of the Annihilation novel, you see Darth Karrid, the main villain in the story. She’s the one with the red lightsaber. You also see Jedi Master Gnost-Dural, the narrator for the history holocron updates for SWTOR. If you…

SWTOR Ability Delay Fixed after January 24th Patch

This is the fix a great number of people have been waiting on and it’s finally here and confirmed by players. The ability delay bug is reportedly fixed, according to players. What a relief! Of all the players happy to see this fix, snipers seem to be the happiest as it greatly affected their class play. While I am not surprised at all that they fixed it, I amimpressed that they fixed it so quickly. As Massivelyreports: PrincipalLead Combat Designer GeorgZoeller announced today that theinfamous ability delay should be clearing up nicely, thanks to an overnight1.1.0b patch. He says BioWare didn’t want to wait until the next big patch toroll it out, opting to instead deliver it as quickly to players as possible. However, Zoeller also notes that the team “is not done improving combatresponsiveness” and has several other tweaks and fixes in the work forpatch 1.1.1. Other areas of…
