There are many reasons to be excited about SWTOR’s next expansion. For one, NEW CONTENT! Yay! We all want to see more from SWTOR, right? Well, that’s not all because the new expansion, Knights of the Eternal Throne, is giving us more reasons to get worked up about it. If you haven’t seen it yet, here’s the awesome trailer to kick things off.
Here are some reasons to get excited about the expansion:
- Something for everyone to do – New players and veterans alike will all have something to keep them happy and busy in this latest expansion. There’s expanded gameplay with the new Galactic Command feature available to subscribers. The decisions players make while engaged in Galactic Command will ultimately impact the balance of the light vs. dark side of the Force across the galaxy. If you’re a new or returning player, there is also promotional material to help catch you up on everything.
- The focus is on you – As it should be for an MMORPG, the focus is on you, the player. This is your saga and you’re getting to write it. You choose who you want to be. You choose what you look like. You customize your gear, your outfit, weapons and more. You can choose to play alone or with others. You also get to write your own story, making choices as you level up that impact how your individual character experiences the game.
- It has a new Star Wars story – For Star Wars fans like us, it’s the story that really draws us in. Here, we get a new Star Wars story and you get to experience in your own unique way. This is more immersive than just reading a new book or watching a new movie. It lets you become part of the story and that is definitely part of the appeal.
- Player rewards for premium players – If you’re premium, there are subscriber rewards: Premium players as of October 25, 2016, get Shae Vizla, Bounty Hunter Companion; premium players as of November 27, 2016, receive the epic Rapid Recon Walker Mount. Plus, all premium accounts between October 25 – November 27 get early access toKnights of the Eternal Throne on November 29 — three days before public release. Plus, players who join as premium level get access to all prior gameplay expansions: Rise of the Hutt Cartel, Shadow of Revan, and Knights of the Fallen Empire.
These are just some of the reasons we’re excited about the new expansion. You should also remember that the 5-year anniversary is coming up not long after the expansion so there is sure to be something special happening, such as more player rewards during this time as well. There’s no better time than now to come back to SWTOR, or to check it out if you’re new to the game.
