It is our greatest pleasure to be able to bring you great stories from SWTOR and Star Wars fans. It warms my heart to see gamers do good, especially when it involves children. So it is with my greatest pleasure that I get to bring you the story of TOR for TOTS. 4 gamers played SWTOR live for 24 hours accepting donations, then purchased tons of rocking Star Wars toys to donate to charity. How awesome is that? This thread went up on the official forums to tell people about the event: If you want some good karma, head over to this stream, or any of the streams that page links to; these guys are giving all donations to charity. Learn how to play your class and nerd out for the kids all at once! http://www.twitch.tv/gudarz#/w/5853934832 And then some great Community Members from The Bastion server conducted a 24 Hour PVP/SWTOR…

SWTOR Datamining 2.2.2 PTS Edition

We have some more datamined info for you courtesy of SWTOR Miner on Reddit. Again, keep in mind that data mined info is not guaranteed to be in the game. It’s mostly speculation and rumor. Just because something is in the game files does not guarantee it will make it live to the game. There are some game files that have been there since beta and we have not seen the features go live. However, a great number of things we see in PTS data mines do end up actually in the game. Either way, it’s fun the pass the time- especially when there is not a lot of other new info coming out. So anyway… let’s take a look at this mined data. swtor_miner brought us another update on the 2.2.2 PTS: Well got little bit of special alone time with the 2.2.2 PTS files, and I thought I’d share…

SWTOR Datamining 2.2 Live Version Updates

How would you like to be riding around on this stingray mount? There’s a good chance you can be really soon in SWTOR. swtor_miner has a new update for us regarding the 2.2 live version datamine. Here is what we got for you: So let me start of by saying there’s not much new stuff that wasn’t already covered by my previous post on the 2.2 PTS. The most interesting thing comes from the codex – Wartime Correspondent – You earned this title as a reward for your guild’s prowess in battle and living to tell about it. What the heck does that even mean?????? Searching for some kind of meaning for those words I dug back into the 2.2 PTS files. This title was originally listed under “itm/mtx/title/recruit_friends,” but now on live it’s under “itm/mtx/title/digital_surge.” There are no other references to “digital_surge” anywhere. So, you’ll have to provide your own meaning…

Patch 2.2.1 Slated for 6/25 (Expected Paid Transfers)

A few days ago we wrote about the price for paid server transfers. Most people hoped that this transfers would come with game update 2.2 but unfortunately it was removed in the last minute. Yesterday Eric Musco had some update about it as he shed some light on the targeted date for patch 2.2.1. There are no guarantees that server transfers will be live with the next game update, but the devs are working on it. Hey folks, I just posted here, the current target date for 2.2.1 is 6/25. One thing I wanted to stress is that it is not a guarantee that transfers will be in 2.2.1. It is our goal to get them to all of you as fast as we can as a part of 2.2.1, but we will not release it until it is working correctly. -eric

LEGACY: AN OLD REPUBLIC NOVEL

Who Doesn’t Love Star Wars Fan Fiction? Well, reader and fellow SWTOR fan Crystal Storm recently wrote a novel. The funny thing is, she wasn’t actually trying to write a novel. But we know that sometimes the best things in life happen unintentionally. Such is the case in this fantastic piece of fan fiction. If you haven’t gotten your copy yet, I highly recommend you download it today! I had the chance to ask Crystal a few questions about her novel and I’m thrilled to be able to bring that interview to you today: Can you tell the readers a little about yourself? Paid Transfers Delayed til 2.2.1

Apparently payed transfers are delayed again. This is abit of a bummer since they said transfers would be “right on the heels” of 2.1. Even thought disappointing you have to appreciate that they are trying not to bungle this when they launch it. If you pay $15 to transfer a character you will want all of the benefits of that character to also be transferred with them. The official forums are convinced that this delay will ruin the game and kill swtor. =) EricMusco Scheduled Maintenance: June 11th, 2013 [POSTPONED] | 06.10.2013, 03:19 PM Hey folks, I wanted to give you an update on Paid Character Transfers since I know you have been curious about it with the delay of 2.2. Unfortunately, we have come across some bugs that are present with Character Transfers, specifically around Achievements. We definitely want to insure that we are providing the best service possible when…

Game Update 2.2 Delayed

Eric Musco just informed the us via the official swtor forums, that Game Update 2.2 is delayed until further notice. Apparently there are some last minute bug fixes that is giving them trouble. To clarify two points in the thread. Although I don’t have exact timing yet, Game Update 2.2 will not be tomorrow (6/11) at all. The maintenance is delayed past tomorrow. As for the specific bug. What we needed to fix were some critical bugs inside of the the new Nightmare Mode Operation, which would need to be fixed before the Update went live. Upon implementing those fixes the Game Update itself became unstable. That is what we are working through now. Hope that gives a bit of insight. -eric

J.J. Abrams: ‘Star Wars Episode VII’ will start shooting in early 2014

“Star Wars: Episode VII” is really happening, and director J.J. Abrams has revealed when fans can start scouring the Internet for on-set photos. During the PGA-sponsored “Produced By” conference at the 20th Century Fox lot, Abrams said that production  is set to begin in January of 2014. “”Most likely we are going to be moving to London at the end of the year for the ‘Star Wars’ movie,” he said, according to Deadline. Abrams noted that he would have preferred to shoot “Episode VII” closer to home in LA., but Disney had planned a U.K. shoot even before he signed on to direct. Michael Arndt (“Toy Story 3”) is writing the film, which is expected to be in theaters summer of 2015. “”Django Unchained” producer Reginald Hudlin moderated the Q&A and tried to get the typically tight-lipped Abrams to reveal more about “Episode VII.”” “I think that the thing is…

We all thought it might be coming and there were multiple threads on the forums full of speculations. So if you were hoping (like us) that there would be some SWTOR news coming at E3, then we sadly have to disappoint you. Eric Musco made it clear in the forums that despite the speculation, there would be no new content updates and no surprises about SWTOR at E3 this year. Hey folks, Just to head off any crazy expectations, SWTOR will not be on the floor of E3 so I wouldn’t expect any big announcements from us. Latest update on Datamining SWTOR

Are you curious about what’s coming up soon in SWTOR? There are many rumors revolving the new updates and future game content. swtor_miner has some more great info datamined from SWTOR to add to the info he shared with us th other day. You can read the full post here (and spoilers are marked as such). But here is a snippet: So you guys wanted to know more about what I shared with you the other day. First let me point you to this early game leak. You’ll note that many of leaks turned out to be correct. Albeit, not exactly how they were originally found. Patch 2.3 It’s my speculation that Varl is possibly the next daily area/planet we’ll see in Patch 2.3. It’s story is tied closely to that of the Operation Scum & Villainy. The conversation data for this planet has been in the game files going all the…

Will EA Announce a Continuation of Star Wars 1313 at E3?

Have you been waiting for a new Star Wars game like us? What do you think about news that Star Wars 1313 might be back in production? It’s just a rumor but some people suspect there might be a new life to the game after all. The Star Wars Underworld tells us about the rumor that EA could be announcing this at E3: Could Star Wars 1313 have new life?  After the shut down of LucasArts earlier this year it was believed that all Star Wars projects it had been working on had died with it, this may not be the case.  A leaked document containing a list of all the projects that will be announced during E3 has appeared on the Spanish website Area Jugones and on that list is Star Wars 1313 (sadly there is no mention of Battlefront 3).   Now remember, this is just a rumor and needs to be taken…

No news for SWTOR at E3 and no Cross-server PvP in game update 2.4

BioWare have  been wearing the nay hat this week, as they came with a few disappointments. First off  Bruce Maclean posted  an update on the official forums, stating that Cross-server PvP is not comming with Game update 2.4.  Major bummer for the ranked community: While the exact details of which features will make Game Update 2.4 are still being hardened I can definitely say that Cross-Server Queueing is not in the plan for it. We’ve taken a hard look at Cross Server Queuing in the past and accomplishing it is a *significant* challenge that would take a lot of time away from other things we are working on. Emphasis on significant. It’s not forever off the table but it’s not in the plan right now. Even though it is too early to share specifics I can say that Game Update 2.4 as it is being worked on right now has features and changes…
