Today I had the chance to speak with Zainitopia from the republic guild Errant Venture. Errant venture plays on the server Space Slug and is an all purpose republic guild, from the hardcore to the casual, being both accomplished in raiding and pvp. With over 100 members, we focus heavily in all aspects of gameplay – leveling(alts), warzones, flashpoints (hardmode), and of course raiding! Essentially they are looking to recruit raiders for patch 1.2. they used to have 3 x 8 mans running and actually got a server first kill on SOA NiM as well. Since then they have had to scale back to 1 group and have been raiding every week since. They are a casual group that loves to raid (only 2 nights). At one point they were very well respected in PVP as well. Although the emphasis for recruiting is for raiding, they take all gameplays into the guild, whether that…
SWTOR World Events are Happening: Rakghoul Plague
As if we hadn’t all had enough of the Rakghouls leveling up, a new secret event is here with game update 1.2- The Rakghoul plague, which BioWare invented for the original Knights of the Old Republic is somewhat like a zombie apocalypse in a Star Wars world. Becoming infected can happen with a simple scratch and it will turn you into a hungry, hulking monster of a being. Trust me, you don’t want to be a Rakghoul. The Rakghoul plague has been a part of the SWTOR for some time now but this world event (the first of many to come) puts a new twist on it. There is a event going on right now, with UGTAH – (Infected by Rakghoul virus) level 50 world boss wandering the Outlaws Den. Just north of the Republic outpost in the Dune Sea on Tatooine you will find a crashed ship that is…
TOR TV: Goodbye Azeroth (I’m Gonna Be A Sith Lord)
This video is fairly old and for some reason it slept under our radar. I can’t fight in the Ruins of LordaeranI’m preparing for the day we blow up AlderaanBlow up Alderaan. Mass Effect 3 Ending Misery
Hate the ending of Mass Effect 3 like so many others gamers? Peter Coffin has an excellent new video about this topic and if you’re a Stephen King fan, you’re going to love it as much as I did. If you have no clue who Stephen King is, it’s probably less funny but still humorous nonetheless. Check it out! Courtesy of Peter Coffin: “The head writer on Mass Effect 3 gets captured by a crazed woman who makes him rewrite the ending.”
SWTOR Proves better than Most when Servicing their Customers
I have been playing MMOs for a very long time now. Recently, a game that I previously beta’d and later left when the content was lacking went to free-to-play. No surprise really, as this seems to be the direction most MMORPGs are now taking. I heard they had greatly expanded and updated the content since I last played so I wanted to check it out. I tried to log in my account and was unable to due to a password problem. I tried to recover my password or reset it and this also failed. So I decided to contact customer service to help me. As it turns out, you needed to login your account to put in a CS ticket. Really? /facepalm So I look for an email to contact the company. No such luck. All I find is a contact form that again requires me to fill in my…

TOR TV: The KOTOR Song (time to rumble)
i will be your doo doo, i will be your doom! I never thought I would hear an autotuned wookie…I was wrong. This was awesome. All the SWTOR hype got me wanting to replay KOTOR. And replaying KOTOR got me wanting to remix KOTOR. The instrumental music was all done by me with Logic Pro. Game footage was recorded with Fraps. The video editing was done with Sony Vegas. I usually use Final Cut but I was too lazy to convert the fraps video files to mp4 and move them to the OSX partition of my computer. Maybe someday I’ll be a Machinima director. That would be awesome. But I hope you peeps like this video.

Legacy Promotion Expanded-One More Chance for a Free Month
BioWare is listening to its players and after their initial Legacy promotion, feedback from the community told them that many were not happy with the free 30-day subscription only being given to level 50s. Some players have been playing since launch and don’t quite have a 50 yet. Most of them are probably those who suffer from alt-it-is. I can completely understand since I love to make one of everything and check it out. Well Bioware has an answer to those players: Hello everyone! At BioWare we’re always listening to our fans and we’ve heard our community’s comments around players with Level 50 characters being the only group awarded 30 days of play time. We appreciate the feedback and are pleased to announce that we are expanding our Legacy Promotion, also awarding 30 days of play time at no charge to players that have reached Legacy Level 6 (who may…
Friday Feature: SWTOR May Reach 1 Million Subs after Game Update 1.2
Now that Game Update 1.2 is here, the big question that everyone is asking is “Was it worth the wait?” I suppose a good secondary question would also be “Will it bring subscribers back?” Gaming Target said prior to the release of 1.2 that they thought the big game update might cause SWTOR to reach one million paying subscriptions. With 1.2 and future update promises, will it be enough to keep that many players hooked? SWTOR, like Blizzard’s dominate World of WarCraft, has the potential to be “a successful long-term online subscription PC game,” according to the report. This is due in part to the high-profile Star Wars name, the game’s massive budget and the regular DLC drops including next month’s SWTOR Game Update 1.2. This has been the right mixture to hook subscribers, who are paying upwards of $15 a month for access to the game. “The current trend…
Top 10 SWTOR Companions as Voted by the Players
Who are your favorite companions in SWTOR? Who’s the most annoying? I read that it was Corso but personally, he doesn’t bother me so much. He’s kind of charming in a farm boy sort of way… Anyway, my favorite so far is Vette but Bowdaar is probably a close second. IGN had poll recently asking readers to vote on their favorite companions and they turned that data into a handy visual of the top 10. Did you participate in the voting? Did your favorite make the list? The results are in and it’s time to see the winners.

Help Fight the Boycott on SWTOR
Non profit organization All Out want to help fight the boycott on SWTOR. They posted this message on their website: April 6, 2012 Electronic Arts (EA) — one of the largest video game makers in the world – is the target of a hateful boycott campaign. Why? Because they approved a gay romance story in one of their partner BioWare’s most popular games: Star Wars: The Old Republic. Anti-gay letters are flooding Electronic Arts headquarters, calling for a boycott. Without our help the company, its staff and more than 100 million registered players could be pushed to the dark side if the forces of hate get the last word. Master Yoda wants to make sure Electronic Arts knows anti-gay haters don’t win the game. Add your name to Yoda’s letter urging the company to stay away from the dark side. Yoda himself will deliver the message directly to the headquarters…
The Guild sphere: Army of Yonuss
This week I sat down with Jono from “Army of Yonuss”, for a quick question and answer session about The guild. Army of Yonuss plays SITH on the Tarro Blood server, and currently recruiting. Check out the interview below, while you are downloading patch 1.2 🙂 Where did your guilds name come from? Our guild is named after the username our good friend used to use for every one of his RPG characters, Yonuss. He passed away just before TOR was released, but was very active in beta. He had been planning to co-found the guild with us for months, so when he passed away we decided it would be a nice way to honor him. Can you give me a quick 2-3 sentance description of your guild? Army of Yonuss is laid back and open to members of all sorts, however we are still very organized. We run weekly…
PvP Gear Prices Cheatsheet for 1.2
1.2 is on the way and with it, we get some new PvP gear. I for one am super excited about this. My guild is all about PvP and I PvP on all of my characters, my main a Jedi Sage who enjoys PvP healing. So anyway, we’re all pumped up about ranked warzones but also about the new gear- ranked and unranked. That’s when I came across this really awesome cheat sheet for unrated gear PvP prices in 1.2. Check it out and once the servers come back up after the game update, we can all see for ourselves. What do you think about PvP in 1.2?
1.2 is Coming! Here are Some Changes and Additions
1.2 is coming and there will be some big changes and additions to the game- as we know already. In addition to the incoming Legacy system, new customizable UI and new warzone, Flashpoint and Operation, we will also see new daily missions, upgrades to crafting and more. However, there are also going to be some things retired. Here’s what you can say goodbye to after 1.2 and if you have them already, then you can hold onto them as trophies to prove how long you’ve been around the game. Say goodbye to white crystals! Georg Zoeller: There will be no way to obtain white color crystals in Game Update 1.2 or any of the 1.2 series of patches. As for further into the future, it is fair to say that we have not yet made up our minds. Awww, real bummer to some who liked the white crystals but on…
