Today is patch day and here are the patch notes. This is a 74 mb. patch with many great bug fixes. The mount/companion issue was highly annoying, and I thought it was me loosing my mind with the The quickbar lock button bug. Game update 2.2 Patch Notes

2.2 Patch is now available for download through the launcher so if you are near a computer, now is your chance to get ready for game update 2.2. It’s not listed in the notes but word is that Master Strike/Ravage is now affected by alacrity. Good news for Sentinels and Marauders. SWTOR: Game Update 2.2 now on PTS

BioWare just opened the Public test servers with game update 2.2. I haven’t testet it out my self yet, but  LightSaber from the-old-republic.ru send over a new video showcasing some of the awesome new stuff that comes with game update 2.2.  This Doesn’t seem like a huge patch but rather some nice additions and changes. 2.1.0b Patch Notes 5/17/2013

Patch notes are up. We were almost right yesterday. It was a bug fix with he crystals. People were more or less printing money off this bug, as you could vendor crystals that you could get for “free””. No event unfortunately. 2.1.0a Patch Notes 15/05/2013

BioWaer is pushing a small client side only patch today. So don’t panic if you have to do a small download when you launch the game. The patch is here to fix an issue windows XP users are having when they start the game.  Again, This is a client side only patch. No server downtime is needed.   General Corrected an issue that prevented many players with Windows XP from launching the game.

Game Update 2.1: Customization – 5/14/2013

As mentioned a few times lately BioWare are taking the servers down today to patch the servers with game update 2.1  Below are that patch notes: Highlights New Feature! The new Appearance Designer by AestheTech has been added to Dromund Kaas, Coruscant, and the Republic and Imperial Fleets. 2.0.0b Patch Notes

As we mentioned earlier today, BioWare are taking down the servers for scheduled maintenance tomorrow. As part of being awesome, BioWare have already posted the patch notes for the update that will be applied tomorrow. Check it out below: Crew Skills Artifice Reverse Engineering certain color crystals will no longer provide an error message. Advanced Crew Skill training is no longer required to Reverse Engineer color crystals of any type. PvP Note: For more details about these changes, please visit this post. The effect of Bolster on empty item slots has been decreased. Due to itemization changes, Expertise has been removed from all War Hero and Elite War Hero pieces except for weapon crystals. So there you have it. Your maxed elite warhero set is now vendor trash. But I guess that’s the  sad nature of the MMO X-Pack beast.

Server maintenance and patch 2.0a

Servers were down for a few hours today to apply an emergency patch that fixed a few issues with quests and game crashes. Many players was hoping this patch would fix the bolster issue that has been with the game since update 2.0. Bolster is now determined by gear instead of purely by level from what I understand. So you could remove your gear and get bolstered up to people who have gear. You remove gear and you get bolstered BEYOND those with gear at the moment. BioWare is aware of this problem though, and Eric Musco posted a lengthy forum post on the official forum. This is a hilarious “bug” and I love that he sat down and explained exactly what’s happening. It’s the perfect way to handle the situation. Pretty awesome thing to do actually, and looking through the patch notes, they are equally awesome. Ready check & Personal Star ship  and Finally fixing the double bladed saber issue. All the servers are coming back online and BioWare released the  patch notes. BioWare removed the Bolster trick people were using to power level characters doing the double XP weekend. Patch Notes 1.7.2b General Bolster has been temporarily removed on The Western Ice Shelf of Ilum so that lower level players can no longer use the area to level up more quickly than intended.

Patch Notes – 1.7.2a (3/14/2013)

BioWare took down the servers for scheduled maintenance today. The servers were down for 2 hours, and was done in order to make general improvements and to check performance of the game so that they can continue to provide a consistent, quality experience. At the same time BioWare applied a new patch. Below are the patch notes: 1.7.2a Patch Notes General Character gift packages will now contain the correct items when granted to Digital Deluxe and Collector’s Edition players. Characters who were granted incomplete gift packages after Patch 1.7.2 can contact Customer Support to have the missing items restored. I’m glad this was fixed. I happened to create a new character last night to get the most out of the double XP weekends, and only received my Holocamera, 2x Flare Guns, and my Black-Yellow Crystal.

PTS update notes – March 6

BioWare deployed a new update to the public test servers yesterday with a new patch to Game Update 2.0.  check out the  full patch notes below.  Annoyingly, many of these changes (Sniper changes, Missile Salvo change, etc.) aren’t new today but were put in a couple days ago. I don’t know why they listed them again. Classes and Combat Jedi Knight Alacrity no longer reduces the channel duration of Force Stasis. Sith Warrior Alacrity no longer reduces the channel duration of Force Choke. Jedi Consular Sage Empowered Throw now also increases the damage dealt by Sever Force. Shadow Force Breach’s accuracy debuff now lasts 30 seconds (up from 18) when Combat Technique is active. Kinetic Combat Bombardment now makes Project generate 15% more threat per point and cost 15% less Force per point while Combat Technique is active. Slow Time now has a 9second cooldown and costs 20 Force. Damage remains…

Below are the patch notes: Game Update 2.0 PTS Update Patch Notes These notes detail changes made to the PTS server on 2/26/2013. These changes may only apply to the PTS server. Classes and Combat Jedi Knight Guardian Guardian Slash will now correctly deal damage to nearby enemies when it deals the killing blow to a target affected by your armor reduction.
