Next game update for Star Wars: The old Republic  will be released on Wednesday Sept 26. The game will also be running double XP from October 2nd till October 9th. Obi-Wan Kenobi Film Is Officially Announced

The moment Star Wars fans have been waiting for has finally arrived. Fans have been itching for and asking for a film about Obi-Wan Kenobi and now it’s officially been released. We now have confirmation that an Obi-Wan Kenobi film is in the works. It’s at the planning stages and Stephen Daldry is negotiating the project. It’s very early in the planning phase to know too many details as of yet, but the rumor is Daldry will probably write and direct if he gets signed on. Hollywood Reporter says: “The Obi-Wan Kenobi stand-alone is one of several projects being developed by Lucasfilm and Disney that fall outside the trilogies telling the saga of the Skywalker family. Game Update 2.8: Spoils Of War PTS Update – 5/8/2014

The public test servers for Star Wars: The old Republic have updated with a new build. Some of the highlights are: Group Finder Operations have been redesigned! Story Mode Operations are now more accessible to endgame players (levels 50 – 55). The Operations section in the Group Finder window will list available Operations on a predetermined schedule, rotating in different Operations every few days. Players who meet the level requirement of the Operation will be Bolstered, removing the requirement for endgame gear. Rewards have also been improved, making this a great opportunity for players to earn Ultimate Commendations and experience new content! Below are the changes made to the existing note: Classes + Combat Jedi Consular Sage Balance (Sage) Mind Warp has been reverted to its live functionality, and now increases the duration of Mind Crush by 1/2 seconds. New Friends of SWTOR Program Live (New Rewards)

The new and improved “Friends Of SWTOR Program” is now live with great new rewards! Rewards are retroactive even though they said this would not be the case – which is awesome. What is less awesome is the   “within 14 days of signing up” limitation on getting your rewards. Some people referred friends at the launch of the Hutt Cartel expansion but they were unable to play it due to school/work/etc. Now that they’re able to actually play and have the desire to subscribe, I find that I won’t be getting anything for telling them about this game since it’s WAY past 14 days. I guess it’s not too bad though. I’d rather have people to play with than a bunch of droids.
