Classic Star Wars Games Are in Xbox’s Ultimate Game Sale, So Your Backlog Can Suffer Properly

The Xbox Ultimate Game Sale is here, and Star Wars fans have been handed a very dangerous little menu of bad decisions.

Not bad games.

Bad decisions.

As in: “I already own KOTOR somewhere, but it is $4.99, so obviously I need it again.”

According to Windows Central’s full Xbox Ultimate Game Sale 2026 list, several classic Star Wars games are currently discounted, including Knights of the Old Republic, KOTOR II, Republic Commando, Jedi Outcast, Jedi Academy, Jedi Starfighter, the original Battlefront games, and multiple LEGO Star Wars titles.

In other words, your backlog is not safe.

The Old Republic Is the Easy Pick

The standout deal is obvious: Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.

With the KOTOR remake rumor mill waking up again, this is a good time to revisit the original rather than just stare at Revan’s mask and argue about hypothetical trailers. But the short version is simple: KOTOR still matters.

Its sequel, The Sith Lords, is also in the sale, and while it is messier, darker, and famously unfinished-feeling in places, it remains one of the most interesting Star Wars stories ever put into a game.

If you only grab two titles, make it those.

Republic Commando and Jedi Knight Are Still Worth Your Time

Republic Commando is another easy recommendation.

It is lean, sharp, squad-focused, and still has one of the strongest Clone Wars-era identities in Star Wars gaming. No bloated open world. No 900 icons on a map. Just commandos, Geonosians, droids, and a helmet HUD that still looks cooler than it has any right to.

Then there are the Jedi Knight games.

Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy are not modern, polished action games. They are older, stranger, and occasionally awkward in the way all great PC-era Star Wars games are. But when the lightsaber combat clicks, it still feels fantastic.

That is the charm of this sale. It is not just cheap Star Wars branding. It is a little history lesson in playable form.

Battlefront and LEGO Keep the List Friendly

The sale also includes Star Wars Battlefront and Star Wars Battlefront II, giving players a chance to revisit the older large-scale Star Wars battle formula before the word “live service” started hovering over everything like a corporate probe droid.

The LEGO side is covered too, with LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy, LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, and LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga appearing in Windows Central’s sale list.

Those are still some of the easiest Star Wars games to recommend to almost anyone.

Kids, adults, tired people, collectors, people who just want to smash things and unlock tiny plastic versions of galactic trauma.

Everyone wins.

The best thing about the Xbox Ultimate Game Sale is that the Star Wars section accidentally becomes a miniature tour through the franchise’s gaming history.

RPGs.

Shooters.

Jedi action games.

LEGO chaos.

Original Xbox-era weirdness.
