BETRAYAL – Star Wars: Order 66 Short Film

It’s fan film time again! I feel like I haven’t done this in a while. I’ve missed it. This short film from Loacher Films is really well done. The acting is great, the video quality and modeling is nice too, but what really gets me is the very unique story idea. It’s a short film- under 4 minutes – so I’m not going to spoil the impact by talking about it too much. I think you should just watch it yourself and then let me know what you think of it. See it for yourself here: After you watch, drop us a line and let us know what you think. Would you want to see more from this story? I’m definitely curious about what happens next! I don’t know about you, but I, for one, am becoming emotionally invested in this series. Chapter 6 of Heir to the Empire, by Timothy Zahn. Adapted into a short fanfilm. Here’s a new one from DarthAngelus and it’s a very fun short. If you’ve seen previous chapters, then you can also note that the voice acting/sound quality and the animation has really come along, too. What’s this one about? The Rebel Alliance has destroyed the Death Star, defeated Darth Vader and the Emperor, and driven the remnants of the old Imperial Starfleet to a distant corner of the galaxy. Princess Leia and Han Solo are married and expecting Jedi twins. And Luke Skywalker has become the first in a long-awaited line of Jedi Knights. MACE WINDU – Star Wars Fan Film

It’s fan film time again and I love everything about this one. For one, I’m a big fan of Mace Windu and here we get to see a young Windu in action. Next, the acting was really great and the costuming was of professional level and keeping with the time period. It has the staple of a great Star Wars film – an awesome lightsaber duel. And the story is really great. While it’s a short film, you get immersed it in right away and I can’t wait to see more films by them. I wish they’d do more Windu but I’m sure anything they produce will be a fun, entertaining watch. Nearly 20 years before Phantom Menace, young Jedi Knight Mace Windu locates a missing Jedi. What he encounters is unexpected. See for yourself here: From the creators, Full Fledged Pro: Subscribe for more cinematic short films! Thanks for…

Star Wars Smuggler’s Fate

All of this social isolation means I’m spending even more time at home than usual (and that’s saying something) and I’m finding one way I enjoy passing that time is with new videos. And if it’s Star Wars, well, you know I’m gonna watch it. Star Wars fan films are totally my thing. The good, the bad, the ugly – and everything in between! I’ve said it before but there’s something great about even the “bad” fan films. The spirit of Star Wars that goes into each one is special in and of itself. Here’s the latest one I’m enjoying: Star Wars Smuggler’s Fate. It’s just over 10 minutes long and is the final part of a trilogy, so be sure to watch the others first, if you haven’t. While this one is not Hollywood-level acting or videography, it has a charge to it. I also really like the costuming…

Remnants of the Order – A Star Wars Fan Film

If you’re stuck in your house for social isolation, it’s a great time to catch up on some Star Wars fan films! That’s what I’ve been doing and I have a few great ones to bring to you over the next few days (or weeks). Starting with Remnants of the Order. This one is from FantastFilms and it’s a full-length film that comes in a little over 20 minutes long. The acting is great, the characters have real personality, and the film overall is well shot. I really love the look and feel of the whole thing We even get to see some personalities from the Troopers and it makes them feel more humanized and not just like fighter bots like some films. If it feels a little slow in the beginning, give it time. I got so invested around mid-way through, I just had to see what happened next!…

This film, KENOBI by Jamie Costa via YouTube is a perfect example of what I love so much about fan films. It has a true Star Wars feel to it, and it ticks all the boxes of what makes a great film. You can see it for yourself here: A really cool factoid about this fan film: they got James Arnold Taylor, the voice of Obi-Wan in the Clone Wars to be in their FAN film? This is sooo awesome! If you didn’t recognize him, he’s Leegus, the Empire Captain. How awesome is that little cameo? I just love it! This short film has amazing acting, storytelling and real emotions that pull you in and keep…

DARK JEDI – A Star Wars Fan Film

I have another interesting fan film for you today. This one is fairly new so you may have missed it. It was published back on December 13th by urbanamadei on YouTube. I thought it was a fun little short (under 8 mins) and now it has me daydreaming of my ROTC days if we were all Stormtroopers… haha Join the forum discussion on this post

Star Wars Fan Film - Shrouded Destiny

Here’s the start of a very interesting fan film. Shahbaz Sarwar was born and raised in Copenhagen, Denmark and has been working on a film draft for 2 1/2 years. This is a test shot of that script in action. I really don’t want to ruin it by telling you much more about the film/story itself. You just need to watch it. It’s just over 6 minutes, so it’s not going to take up a lot of your time, but I think you’ll be glad you watched. It had me both rolling with laughter and screaming at my screen. It’s good. Very good. I’m going to let you see for yourself, but allow me to tell you a bit about the creator and the project itself. ODYSSEY: A Star Wars Story – Fan Film

ODYSSEY A Star Wars Story (2018 Fan Film)

Odyssey has been a project in the works for over two years! It was a labor of love, talent, and hard work for sure. They have done a truly amazing job with this one. Honestly, it’s so above caliber that I almost don’t want to call it a “fan film” (and you guys know how much I love my fan films). Ever wondered what it would be like to see stormtroopers in a film like Saving Private Ryan? Well, this fan film is as close as you can get. This film is set in the Star Wars universe and it’s all about a war, and follows the life of a young rebel named Quinn on his first mission with the Odyssey Squadron. It has dramatic and uplifting music, great costumes (Rebel and Imperial uniforms that look professionally-made), great stories, and realistic acting. It ticks all the boxes for a really…
