Star Wars Episode 1 Racer Delayed Just before Release Date

Remember when we told you about the awesome remastered version of Star Wars Episode 1 Racer that was due out for the Switch? Well, it was due out on May 12th, but it was canceled HOURS before release. Just when everyone was getting hyped, late on Monday night developer Aspyr announced the game had been delayed for an undefined period due to disruption caused by remote working. “We are so excited to share Star Wars Episode l: Racer with you soon! Unfortunately, due to the ongoing work from home requirements across the industry, the game will be further delayed on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. We’ll be back with an update as soon as possible.” The PS4 version of Episode 1 Racer was previously delayed until May 26. Die hard fans can get the old game from Amazon This is another unfortunate consequence of the state of the world today, with the pandemic. When…

For the first time in our history, the entire globe is facing a crisis at the same time. The pandemic has changed the lives of everyone in different ways, but through it, we are finding new ways to connect with the world around us. For many, online gaming has been a way to keep occupied, connect with others, and keep their spirits up during social isolation. Swg Legends decided to make a great and uplifting video about the community, with positive messages shared in a compilation. I think this is a very great video to watch, even if you don’t currently play SWG Legends. What’s it about? Here’s the overview.: The Rebel Alliance has destroyed the Death Star, defeated Darth Vader and the Emperor, and driven the remnants of the old Imperial Starfleet to a distant corner of the galaxy. Star Wars Smuggler’s Fate

All of this social isolation means I’m spending even more time at home than usual (and that’s saying something) and I’m finding one way I enjoy passing that time is with new videos. And if it’s Star Wars, well, you know I’m gonna watch it. Star Wars fan films are totally my thing. The good, the bad, the ugly – and everything in between! I’ve said it before but there’s something great about even the “bad” fan films. The spirit of Star Wars that goes into each one is special in and of itself. Here’s the latest one I’m enjoying: Star Wars Smuggler’s Fate. It’s just over 10 minutes long and is the final part of a trilogy, so be sure to watch the others first, if you haven’t. While this one is not Hollywood-level acting or videography, it has a charge to it. I also really like the costuming…

Reappraising ‘The Rise Of Skywalker’

All the hype that came with the original cinema release of ‘The Rise of Skywalker’ seems like it was a long time ago now. It wasn’t, of course – it’s only been six months – but the world has changed so much since then that it might as well have happened in a different lifetime. When you cast your mind back, though, you’ll remember that everyone had very strong opinions about the film, just as they did with ‘The Last Jedi.’ Some people loved it. A lot of people hated it. If we went back and watched it again now, free of all the hype and expectations, would our opinions of it change?  The question is worth asking now, because now is the time to allow yourself a second viewing if you haven’t seen it for a while. On May 4th (the day that the world has happily adopted as…

Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes: Grand Arena Season 7: The Empire Strikes Back

Starting next week, Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes got a brand new season of Grand Arena Championships, and with the 40th anniversary of Empire Strikes Back happening during this GAC, Capital games thought it would be an excellent idea to theme the GAC with that movie in mind to celebrate! It turns out that Empire Strikes Back is too big for just a single Championship as well, so this season will cover the Battle of Hoth and Luke’s training on Dagobah, leaving the other parts of ESB (bounty hunters and Bespin) for the next season. This month is 3v3 battles, so think carefully about who you set on defense and what you might expect to face. The game developers over at CapitalGames listed the starting dates for the feats so you can better plan your defenses and gear up your teams. All dates are approximate and may not sync up…

Just why did Darth Vader hate Grand Admiral Thrawn so much? It’s time for another Star Wars Explained video from The Stupendous Wave. In this video, they read an excerpt from the Thrawn novel and explain to us why there was so much beef between Vader and Thrawn. It’s right at 9 minutes long and gives a lot of understanding of the relationship between Darth Vader and the Grand Admiral and will help you understand just why Vader hated him so much. If you’ve got a few minutes, I definitely recommend it. This video covers it all: Did you learn something new in this video? What was your favorite part? Would you add anything? Also, let us know if you’ve read the Thrawn novel mentioned in the video.

Is This the Worst Star Wars Game Ever?

We are all about the Star Wars games here – it’s what our site was started for – and I’ve been a fan for all of my life. I love every Star Wars game I’ve ever seen, pretty much. I like the new games and I like old-school games and anything that brings the magic of Star Wars to a new or broader audience, or that brings us Star Wars in a new way, then I’m all for it. But every now and then, there’s a Star Wars game that’s questionable. I have to ask myself, “Do you like this because it’s a decent game, or just because it has a Star Wars theme?” And this was one of those games: Star Wars Super Bombad Racing. Who remembers this one? I used to play this one as a kid and honestly, I loved it. Maybe young me just didn’t know…

ABOUT THE EPISODE: My name is Shahbaz Sarwar and I’m a man with a dream. A dream of taking my 16 years of accumulated experience from my time in the film industry and take a shot at getting the attention of Lucasfilm and Disney, so that they will meet with me and my team. The goal? To pitch a unique story in the Star Wars universe that will have the scale of Game of Thrones; the drama of Breaking Bad; the meticulousness of The Wire, and the visceral action of “The Raid”. Coming all the way from Copenhagen, Denmark, it seems…

If you’re looking for an escape to help you get away for a while and immerse yourself in some Star Wars fandom, then this is the film to do it! Ever since the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi in 2017, the fan base of thefranchise has never been as divided as it is today. Knights Of The Old Republic And Another Voice-Acting Win

If you’re not familiar with one of the most popular Star Wars games of all time, you may not know that Knights of the Old Republic, fondly known as KOTOR, was very well-known for its voice-acting. Here’s something you might not have known: IL HK-47 was not written to be a comedic character. So, if you’ve played the game, you might be going “what?” right now. Kotaku has a piece that explains how this happened. It’s from the Boss Fight Books series, written by journalist Alex Kane. Here’s the full story on how he became a funny character: Darragh O’Farrell was the go-to voice-over (VO) director for Star Wars video game projects, in the LucasArts era and beyond. It was O’Farrell who had the idea to do the full voice-acted recording for the whole game. “It was one of the most ambitious projects that LucasArts or BioWare had ever attempted,”…

Enjoying Sports Season while Social Distancing

Most of the world is social distancing right now, due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. Even as some countries and states are re-opening, most people want to play it safe and limit their exposure as much as possible.  As a result, more people are being homebodies than before. People are going out for essentials or maybe seeing close family members only and spending a lot more time in their homes. This also changes the way some of us experience our entertainment.  For example, a lot of sports and events were canceled or postponed, and a lot of people are watching concerts and other events from home instead of going out for them. In most areas, big events that garner large crowds are not even allowed yet.  This means we are seeing more events and activities being brought directly to our homes through streaming. And with that, we are also seeing a…
