Star Wars Battlefront Launch Infographic
Electronic arts has posted Infographic showing some interesting stats about Star Wars: Battelfront since launch. Interesting enough, less then 1% of all AT-AT’s has been with tow cables, and Boba Fett is the most played hero/villain in the game. X-Wings get almost kill twice as much as Tie Fighters. I bet they did the same comparison with A-Wings vs Tie Interceptors and realized it would just be better for them not to show the stats. These stats should easily show us what needs balanced. Imperial ships suck ass compared to rebel ships. Everyone knows this. Force lightning / Chain lightning is better at killing large groups of enemies than force push is. Makes sense cause more range and hops from person to person. Millennium Falcon has 500k more kills than Slave 1. Both hero ships are OP, but Falcon is slightly more OP because of the shield. A statement has been publxihed regarding the Item Stack Resale Exploit that has been in the game since 4.0: Item Stack Resale Exploit | 12.08.2015, 03:55 PM Hey folks, As of today’s patch, we fixed the following bug: It is no longer possible to purchase a stack of items and resell individual items for the price of the entire stack. In a previous exploit, we were very up front and very public about its existence. We raised warnings as soon as we discovered the issue associated with the Temple Chair, with the hopes our players would not use it. SWTOR Pack Changes Coming With the Strategy Alliance Pack
Starting tomorrow after maintenance and patch update, the Strategy Alliance Pack and all upcoming packs will have more chances at armor and mounts. As we moved into the launch of Fallen Empire, the Cartel Market team has been making continuous changes to improve the overall Cartel Market experience. Much of this based on the feedback from those of you right here in the forums. One of the pieces of feedback they received regarding new packs is that they felt a bit lean. With the new Strategy Alliance Pack releasing tomorrow, they will be adding back the second Primary Slot to each pack. This is similar to how previous shipments worked. SWTOR NiM Loot Issue / Update
Eric Musco took on the official forums, to report that Nightmare loot are not a guaranteed drop from nightmare operations. I have a few updates to pass on regarding the current issues with Nightmare Loot Drops. First, we discovered there is a bug with the percentage chance of a 224 rated item dropping in any of our Nightmare Operations. We plan to address this when we release Chapter 10 (Game Update 4.1) scheduled in February. If we are able to address it sooner, I’ll pass along an update. Aside from that, we realized that we need to make a correction to our Operations and Flashpoints in Fallen Empire blog. Currently it states the following: Nightmare Mode will also be available for all the Operations that had it previously, and will reward the same as the highlighted Hard Mode, as well as the unique mounts and titles available currently. There is an Upset in the Force within SWG Community
Last month there was some drama in the SWG community. We hesitated to even write about it right away, lest we stir the hornet’s nest. It’s also not completely clear what even happened. We suspect only the parties directly involved know all of the truth. That said, there are recordings of the Teamspeak conversation that took place on this subject and people who have come forward since the big blowup to add details. We love Star Wars fan films, as you probably know if you’ve been reading our posts for awhile now, and here is one based on a book that we really wanted to bring to your attention. It’s Star Wars Legends: Legacy of the Force and you can see the film in its entirely on YouTube (we’ve embedded it below). It’s meant to be a homage to the Expanded Universe and the canon is spot-on. The Old Republic: Rescue Mission – (2015) Short Film
What if the only way to be a hero was to become a villain? This short fan film from Torrm Productions will answer that question for you. It’s a fantastic film that really defines true Star Wars fans. The effects, the sounds and the music (featuring KOTOR themes) was all superb. It officially released on October 18th and already many fans are asking for a sequel. The film runs a little over 20 minutes in length so it’s a good quickie you can watch after work or while taking a break. It’s well-acted, the story is on point, and it’s also shot very well. The special effects work is decent too. All in all, it’s a high quality film for what they had to work with. Star Wars Battlefront Helped Me Understand How The Empire Lost On Endor
You may be asking yourself how a military force like the Empire can possibly lose to the scruffy band of rebels. Well one writer thinks it may have something to do with the Imperial dress code. While I’ve only been playing the release version of Star Wars: Battlefront since yesterday, I’ve played enough to dread the forest moon of Endor. Any round played on the planet of Ewoks reverberates with the sound of exploding grenades and flashes with seemingly random gunfire, that’s the Empire’s shiny white Stormtroopers, tromping through the forest, desperately trying to fight an enemy they can’t see. You see grenades arcing in the direction that the mini-map paints red, which indicates an enemy coming towards. Star Wars: Battlefront has been patched, and it looks like DICE finally got the general bug fixed… To be honest, this has to be the worst patch notes ever! Was problem x fixed with your general stuff? – nahhh it was some other.. you know.. the thing.. with the bug.. stuff. We’ve talked before here about the many cancelled Star Wars games. Between those that have been shut down and those that never made it to production, it’s enough to make a Star Wars fan’s heart break. This is why many of us get so hopeful when a new game is released. Star Wars First Assault was a FPS that was shut down back in 2012. TOR TV: What if SWTOR Had First-Person Mode?
So here is an interesting question that has been theorized before. What if SWTOR had a first-person mode? It worked for Elder Scrolls, right? If SWTOR had a fully fleshed out first-person mode, there would likely be a big market for it. Many current players have expressed they would enjoy it. Still others have said they don’t care much for first-person so the best solution would be a mode that you can toggle on and off. Best of both worlds – those who like it can do it and those who don’t won’t be bothered with it. Here is to hoping that you really like Star Wars: Battlefront because Electronic Arts is not going to stop with it. EA CFO Blake Jorgensen, spoke during the UBS Global Technology Conference in San Francisco and stated the following about the 10 year licensing deal with Disney: “We struck a licensing deal with Disney a few years back that’s almost ten years in length. The game that comes out tomorrow, Star Wars Battlefront, is a traditional first-person style shooter game.
