Were you looking forward to an E3 unveil about Star Wars The Old Republic? Maybe some info about the direction of the game or future content? You’re not along. We all thought it might be coming and there were multiple threads on the forums full of speculations. So if you were hoping (like us) that there would be some SWTOR news coming at E3, then we sadly have to disappoint you. Eric Musco made it clear in the forums that despite the speculation, there would be no new content updates and no surprises about SWTOR at E3 this year. Hey folks, Just to head off any crazy expectations, SWTOR will not be on the floor of E3 so I wouldn’t expect any big announcements from us. That being said, don’t forget that we are having a meet and greet as a part of the Cantina Tour! You can find that…
Latest update on Datamining SWTOR
Are you curious about what’s coming up soon in SWTOR? There are many rumors revolving the new updates and future game content. swtor_miner has some more great info datamined from SWTOR to add to the info he shared with us th other day. You can read the full post here (and spoilers are marked as such). But here is a snippet: So you guys wanted to know more about what I shared with you the other day. First let me point you to this early game leak. You’ll note that many of leaks turned out to be correct. Albeit, not exactly how they were originally found. Patch 2.3 It’s my speculation that Varl is possibly the next daily area/planet we’ll see in Patch 2.3. It’s story is tied closely to that of the Operation Scum & Villainy. The conversation data for this planet has been in the game files going all the…
Will EA Announce a Continuation of Star Wars 1313 at E3?
Have you been waiting for a new Star Wars game like us? What do you think about news that Star Wars 1313 might be back in production? It’s just a rumor but some people suspect there might be a new life to the game after all. The Star Wars Underworld tells us about the rumor that EA could be announcing this at E3: Could Star Wars 1313 have new life? After the shut down of LucasArts earlier this year it was believed that all Star Wars projects it had been working on had died with it, this may not be the case. A leaked document containing a list of all the projects that will be announced during E3 has appeared on the Spanish website Area Jugones and on that list is Star Wars 1313 (sadly there is no mention of Battlefront 3). Now remember, this is just a rumor and needs to be taken…
No news for SWTOR at E3 and no Cross-server PvP in game update 2.4
BioWare have been wearing the nay hat this week, as they came with a few disappointments. First off Bruce Maclean posted an update on the official forums, stating that Cross-server PvP is not comming with Game update 2.4. Major bummer for the ranked community: While the exact details of which features will make Game Update 2.4 are still being hardened I can definitely say that Cross-Server Queueing is not in the plan for it. We’ve taken a hard look at Cross Server Queuing in the past and accomplishing it is a *significant* challenge that would take a lot of time away from other things we are working on. Emphasis on significant. It’s not forever off the table but it’s not in the plan right now. Even though it is too early to share specifics I can say that Game Update 2.4 as it is being worked on right now has features and changes…
SWTOR Rumor: Summon Beacon Reusable
Many SWTOR fans are wondering what might be coming in future editions of the game. SWTOR Miner loves to datamine for info that might give us clues about future patches and game updates. Along with the speculation, this image shows the game files with one interesting thing noted: “summon_beacon_reusable”. We’re not really sure what this means but there are a lot of theories and ideas. For example, it could be like the craftable item we had in beta that would let you warp to the locations of other players. How cool would it be instantly teleport to play with members of your party or people on your friend’s list? It was basically like a consumable quick travel point. It allowed you to summon a beacon that other members could then teleport to at your location. Some say it’s been in the game files since beta and others suspect it might…
APAC/Oceanic Servers closing down
BioWare just sent a mail to all Asia Pacific players letting them know that servers will be closing down within the next few months. All players have been offered free server transfers, and remaining toons will be moved to west coast servers when the servers are taken offline. This doesn’t come as a shock to many people, but finally we got official confirmation about the shot down: IMPORTANT INFORMATION FROM STAR WARS™: THE OLD REPUBLIC™ Asia Pacific Server Consolidation / Free Character Transfer Greetings , We wanted to inform you that we are preparing to consolidate our Asia Pacific servers into our current West Coast North American servers. This will occur sometime in the next few months. Each of your characters on an Asia Pacific server is now allowed a free one-time transfer to any non-Asia Pacific server. Any characters remaining on an Asia Pacific server when the consolidation takes…
Al Pacino In ‘Star Wars’ As Han Solo? It Almost Happened
Al Pacino In ‘Star Wars’ As Han Solo? Well, that sure would have made for an interesting movie, no? Before you get all excited, it’s not happening but Al Pacino says it almost did. According to Al, Al Pacino almost played Han Solo in “Star Wars.” “”It was mine for the taking but I didn’t understand the script,” Pacino said in London over the weekend during an event called “An Evening With Al Pacino.” Harrison Ford apparently did understand the script; he, of course, played Solo in three “Star Wars” films and is expected to reprise his role in the 2015 sequel directed by J.J. Abrams. And apparently he’s not the only one who was offered the role but has turned it down before Harrison Ford was picked up. And there were other women in line to play Princess Leia back then too. Sissy Spacek, Jodie Foster, Cindy Williams and Amy Irving…
SWTOR Smuggler Scoundrel Leveling Build for game update 2.0
Smugglers are to Han Solo like bacon is to a BLT, they’re the smarmy gunslingers that know how to break the law and get through the toughest situations in Star Wars: The Old Republic. The Scoundrel advanced class is for those Smugglers who prefer the shadows over relying on their guns and the advanced class reflects that. While Gunslingers focus on ranged DPS, Scoundrels focus on stealth, ranged burst DPS, and healing. In this post the guys over at Swtorsavior are going to give you a build for the Smuggler Scoundrel in SWTOR for the 2.1 patch. The actual build will give you a solid DPS build while you are leveling. Image of the new Cartel Pack gives us our first glimpse at the new Huttball Uniforms?
Did you get an email from BioWare? Did you check out the image that came with it? What was that all about? Huttball uniforms and skimpy male armor? The new male armor looks alot like this armor we wrote about back in January don’t you think? Many players are speculating that there’s a Huttball uniform coming in the Archon’s Contraband pack, that comes with game update 2.2. Thinking about it, it’s hard not to disagree given that there’s a giant Rot Worm on the front of it. What do you guys think?

SWTOR Smuggler Gunslinger Leveling Build
Swtorsavior have released a new pve leveling build. This build is for the Smuggler using the Gunslinger advanced class in SWTOR. It is a PVE leveling build and as mentioned in the video is a good base if you want a solid leveling build as a Smuggler. Smugglers in SWTOR can become one of two advanced classes at level 10, a Scoundrel (Healer / DPS Class) or a Gunslinger (a pure DPS class). The Gunslinger uses 2 blasters for increased ranged dps. Gunslingers have three trees to choose talents from: Sharpshooter (DPS tree), Saboteur (DPS tree) and Dirty Fighting (a shared DPS tree shared with the Scoundrel Class). Below Is a good gunslinger builds to use for your smuggler so you do not have to waste valuble play time figuring out what gunslinger builds work 🙂 As always I will recommend you to get the guide to get the full advantage…

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic now on iPad
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic can now be acquired now from Apple’s App Store for a penny shy of seven pounds. That’s expensive for an app, but gets you the entire game, and many hours of gameplay. If you haven’t already played it, you should definitely get it now. You can also get the game for the low price of $9.99 for the Steam version. The game itself is a turn-based role-playing game that drops you into the Old Republic Because the iPad has no physical controls, developer Aspyr has bolted on some touch controls, that see you dragging your finger around the screen to make your character run around. Gaming site IGN has reviewed the game already and says that the movement controls are a little clunky, though because combat involves tapping on-screen buttons to key up attacks, the action sequences work well with the touchscreen. The bad news is that Apple’s site says you’ll need…
SWTOR website updated with full page devoted to Operation Nightmare
We leaned about the upcoming game update 2.2 more then a week ago, but now BioWare have devoted some pages on their website that highlight the update’s key features. Game Update 2.2 is the first of a two-part update for Nightmare modes, with Nightmare Terror From Beyond going live first and Legions of Scum and Villainy in 2.2.2 Both of these new game modes will give you access to the new sub-tier of gear, the Kell Dragon Armor. You can find a visual preview of the armor here. There’s also information on the high-level underworld crafting plans. SWTOR free server transfers for APAC players begins June 4th
As we have talked about many times before, the APAC servers are more or less dead these days due to the various problems players have been experiencing such as lag. The solution to make sure APAC players are satisfied with the experience, BioWare is offering free server transfers from June 4th. According to Community Manager of BioWare Eric Musco, the free server transfers to all APAC players will begin in just a few days. Those who will take advantage of the server transfer can move to any servers they please in North America totally free. Still no word about paid server transfers, but with the free server transfers happening for APAC players, it should be next week as well, just in time for the big SWTOR Game Update 2.2. Check out Eric Musco’s forum post below: Hey everyone, I know you have been waiting a bit for an update and…
MTSBWY: Animated Version of Patton Oswalt’s Brilliant Star Wars Pitch
If you’re a Star Wars fan and a Parks and Recreation fan, you probably remember the episode not so long ago when Patton Oswalt visited and delivered an incredible 8+ minute improve about his idea plt for Star Wars: Episode VII. It was hilarity at its best. Now, Isaac Moores has created an animation for the entire rant/skit which you can find here: See the original here: Patton Oswalt himself saw the animated filibuster and tweeted to Moores, as well as sent his “minions” to give the talented Moores some more followers. He went from 60 to over 1,00 in one day! Apparently spending 5 full days animating to improvised dialogue is a good way to spend ones time. Hello 1000 new followers. — Isaac Moores (@izacless) May 19, 2013 Hello Isaac and thank you for your awesome contribution!
Dev Response: Why PvP Updates have been slow
So much drama in the SWTOR Forums LBC, It’s kinda hard bein’a BruceMaclean D-O-double-G. Ahem.. What I’m Trying To Say is, that yesterday Senior Producer Bruce Maclean, took on the forum posting an explanation to why new PVP updates are several months out. Hi Warforever! We are listening and do care. For what it’s worth I’m a PvPer too. PvP is one of our priorities and we are not going to do away with it. I’m not a big believer in making excuses, and can understand why it might feel like we are not focused on PvP, but here’s a bit of an explanation why the next big PvP update is several months out: PvP and Class Balance are the same team of guys. It makes sense that the designers working on one also work on the other. This means that raising the level cap to 55 for Rise of the Hutt Cartel last month…

Patch 2.1.1 scheduled for tomorrow if no other issues
BioWare will be taking down the servers tomorrow to deploy patch 2.1.1. It’s not 100% sure yet though, as the devs are struggling with some issues. Eric Musco posted this on the official forums: I wanted to give an update so I wasn’t leaving you guys hanging! Right now we look entirely on track to publish Game Update 2.1.1 tomorrow morning with maintenance. Assuming no other speed bumps jump out, Amber will be posting maintenance messaging and patch notes later today. Thanks everyone! Should anything change I will let you know but otherwise we are good to go for tomorrow. -eric
SWTOR Firebrand PvP Armor Animations
Along with Kell Dragon armor, they also updated the Firebrand PvP shells from Ranked Warzones with similar animation effects in patch 2.2. Dulfy does what she does best and made us some great new videos showing the animations. They are really similar to the Kell Dragon armor but they’re red instead of blue. It’s cool but not much different from the PvE sets, minus the colors. I think it looks better on some than others. But then there is the issue of whether or not we want our PvP gear to be blinking like an airport… Have a look and let us know what you think. Yay or nay? Check out the videos (thanks Dulfy!)
