Rob Hinkle have been active on the forums, updating players about Engineering Sniper and Saboteur Gunslinger Changes, comming in game update 2.10 Here is a consolidated list from the forums: Post #1 Focused Feedback Discussion: Engineering Sniper / Saboteur Gunslinger | 08.21.2014, 09:37 AM Hey Gang,Back from vacation and the first thing I see is a big mess I made before I left. I just wanted to hop in here really fast to make a comment on the Plasma Probe damage adjustment from testing versus the patch note. The short answer is: I screwed up the patch note and the 22% was from a previous iteration of changes that we were testing and decided we didn’t like. The values you guys are seeing on PTS is what our current target is, so let’s move forward with the discussion based on that number being the “real” number and talk about any further…
Gamescom 2014 – Star Wars: The Old Republic Q&A
We are still seeing a great deal of info coming out about Gamescom 2014 and the SWTOR Q&A session. As is consistent with other public events lately, Bioware is pushing for a new surge of gamers and popularity of SWTOR. But I think we are nearing the tales end now Check out the video (just under 30 minutes) to see the Q&A for yourself. What would you ask if you were there for the Q&A?
Star Wars: Commander is your next Star Wars game
Disney Interactive just announced Star Wars: Commander, a free-to-play game for mobile devices. The game, which is available for iOS devices, is set between George Lucas’ original two Star Wars movies and follows players from the planet of Tattooine as their careers advance inside whichever group they choose to belong to. The combat strategy game will be familiar to fans of that genre. Players control a commander of either Rebel of Imperial forces and deploy vehicles and troops into battle. The difference, of course, is that “Star Wars: Commander” gives fans the chance to deploy Stormtroopers AT-AT’s, and X-Wings. And characters they’ll meet along the way include Han Solo and Chewbacca (voiced by sound-alikes, not the original cast). “Commander,” which like most new mobile games is free-to-play but includes paid options for players who want to advance more quickly, includes both single player and competitive multi-player options. The single player…

Battlefield Game Modes That Should Be Added to Star Wars: Battlefront
In addition to the usual game modes of most Battlefront games, some fans are looking for some new games modes with a Star Wars theme for the newest installment of Star Wars: Battlefront. Tom from Battlefront News created a great video with his ideas for potential game modes. We have some Wookiee love, a Bounty Hunter mode and of course, Armada. He explains each game mode, how it works and how it would be played, complete with the objectives breakdown.
TOR TV: SWTOR Warzone Commendation Decorations
SWTORrista posted a bunch of youtube videos showing all the new Star Wars: The old Republic: Galactic Stronghold decorations obtainable from Warzone Commendation. So instead of the one video we normally posted in this segment, we have the pleasure of posting 9. All of them cost 200 Warzone Commendations, except for the Hypergate Ring which is 1,000. Decorations are shared along your whole legacy, so you can buy Imperial decorations on your imperial toon and see/use them with your Republic character on Coruscant! Just don’t let the senators see your Imperial banners from your giant bay windows… The guards are not intractable. Enjoy!
Game Update 2.9 Known Issues
With a new gameupdate comes new bugs to the game. Here is a list of the known issues so far. Luckily there are no game-breaking bugs a this time. Players do not receive double Prestige on previously placed items after conquering a planet. Decorations can get bugged if the layout is switched while a Decoration is present. Workaround: If you find you have two Decorations occupying the same area, leave the Stronghold and then re-enter. A guild will still be displayed in the Leaderboards if it is disbanded while controlling a planet. Emissive effects on Decorations are not rendered in the Preview Panel. Guild names are not updated on the Leaderboard if they are changed during a Conquest event. Companions are missing the Mission Icon above their head if they are summoned in a Stronghold. Players can get stuck in a Decoration they were situated on if they return to…

Star Wars: Episode VII Rumors and Leaks
Following up on Elrik post, I wanted to make a run down on all the newest rumors on Star Wars: Episode 7. Could there be a spy behind the scenes of Star Wars Episode VII? Or maybe some of these leaks were done on purpose? The Star Wars franchise is notorious for being tight-lipped about developments and productions but recently there has been a surge of photos leaked out from the set of the new film leaking concept art and props. Disney and Lucasfilm did not comment on the leak and whether or not the photos are legit (which is to be expected). So for now we have to treat this like a rumor but it’s a very interesting rumor indeed. Here are some of the things being leaked that has people talking: New Stormtrooper helmets – Indie Revolver’s Jay Carlson made a post with some images of what was supposed to…
Star Wars Episode VII villains may have just been revealed…and their descriptions sound very familiar!
According to an article that appeared on IO9.com, Star Wars Episode VII villains may have just been revealed. Even though the website quotes other sources, we couldn’t help notice the similarity of the rumored villains with some of the elements we see from SWToR. Needless to say, these rumors have not been confirmed so they should be taken with a grain of salt. IO9 quotes “Latino review” in stating that the main villains of the upcoming Star Wars movie are the Sith Inquisitors who are the defenders of the Sith Order. The movie will tie Darth Vader with the Inquisitors and highlight their relationship to the former. Obviously, the Sith Inquisitor is a very familiar figure in the SWToR universe with a very interesting story line. Another similarity with the original Knights of The Old Republic (KoToR) game is the villain’s description that Io9 retrieved from “Indie Revolver”. According to the latter: He’s tall and thin…
MMO Speak- Do You Know Your Lingo?
It’s an interesting topic… one we’ve actually mentioned here before but one that we sometimes forget about. Online games have their own lingo. We can break that down even more and say MMORPGs have their own speak and SWTOR has its own that is specific to it. Someone who is very new to the game or new to the work of online gaming would have a hard time knowing what the heck we’re talking about. In fact, some have said that gamer jargon sounds like a foreign language to the untrained ear. Can you imagine it? All the talk about “trash” and “DPS” and doing “FPs”? People are likely to look at you like you’re crazy. But in the gamer world, we know just what these things mean (or at least most of them). Do you ever think back to when you first started playing a certain game or maybe…

Surface Details: The events of a boring and forgettable day.
BioWare posted a new of there famous diary entries. This entry was written by Charles Boyd himself, lead writer for the Trooper story. This entry is really well done. I almost wish bioware would release a shot story series of these “diary entries”. Give a great sense of backstory. Even though, those of us, who follow what have been datamined out of the Public test servers, knows where this story leads, I still love how they continue to give good quality writing to their new storyarchs. Brings me back to the days of “Blood of the Empire” and the “Holo Journals of Gnost Dural”. Check out out over at the official website, or read our copy paste below: 08.14.2014 Surface Details “Next.” Varko gave the hydro-dispenser on his desk a quick tap, then rubbed the fluids into the skin of his hands. He’d heard it could take a few weeks…
Episode VII Update: J.J. Abrams Teases with Droid Hand
You may remember several months ago when JJ Abrams kicked off Star Wars: Force For Change, with the intent of raising money for the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). The grand prize was a trip to the set of Star Wars Episode VII and you better believe there were a lot of fans who wanted a chance to win. Slashfilm.com has an interesting update for us, as well as some details on the “droid hand” Abrams teased in the announcement. The first video revealed a brand new creature from the world. A second video revealed the new X-Wing fighter. And now, Abrams revealed the results of the initiative and winner’s name with another excitingly cryptic photo. Is it a Episode 7 droid hand? Or perhaps Luke Skywalker’s robot hand? Check it out and read more about the Force for Change winner below. And here you can see the Tweet for yourself if you missed…

See what’s new in The Old Republic with this footage of upcoming updates live from IGN’s booth at Gamescom.
No Clone Wars in Star Wars: Battlefront (for Now)
We’ve been keeping an eye on the development of DICE’s much-hyped Star Wars: Battlefront ever since the first few crumbs of information surfaced in this respect and it has been becoming increasingly clear that the game – which is indeed shaping up as a truly monumental and epic effort – will only cover a small part of the Star Wars universe, namely the original trilogy and its locations. While this is by no means bad news, it does mean that there will probably be no Clone Wars lore elements in the game. The Clone Wars era earned no mentioning in the impressive E3 trailer presented by the developer, the locations the team has scouted and the LucasFilm museum that the visited this summer are also indicative of an original trilogy-only focus. If anything, for the fans of the series, those awaiting the release of the title with bated breath, this…
SWTOR Segment from EA GamesCom Press Conference
We have an interesting update today on SWTOR from EA’s GamesCom Press Conference. The SWTOR segment touched on a few things we have not gotten updated on in some time, such as the player count. They also touch on some things that are coming soon in SWTOR (things we all known about already but that might serve to bring in some newer or returning players). From EA’s GamesCom Press Conference: The results have been remarkable. Every month, more than a million players are logging in, playing with their friends, and embarking on their own personal Star Warstm Saga. So basically, EA took almost two minutes out of their press conference today to mention SWTOR. You can see the video for yourself at IGN, but the highlights are: recap of the last 18 months reminder that it’s gone free to play updated content Galactic Starfighter new guild rewards new PvP warzones new Flashpoints and…
Will Star Wars: Battlefront Be the Best Star Wars Game Ever?
There’s a lot of talk about Star Wars: Battlefront as the game gets closer to completion. Fans are anxious for another Star Wars game and at this point, just publishing and shipping a game with a Star Wars theme would be better than how other expected Star Wars titles have worked out recently. DICE wants to do more than just make a game, however. They want to create the “best Star Wars game ever. That’s a big undertaking, depending on who you ask. However, developer DICE has a strong vision for Battlefront and they spoke with MCV about what they wanted to do with the game. “Historically DICE hasn’t worked on licenses that are not our own,” according to Battlefield studio’s general manager Karl-Magnus Troedsson. “So this is different for us. If someone came to us with another licence then we’d probably say no, but, in this case, Star Wars has a…
When Game Bugs become Permanent Features
It’s happened before… a bug exists in a game and people like it so much, it becomes an intended feature. Such is not always the case with SWTOR. Remember way back when you could message someone on their main and when they logged an alt, continued messages would go to their alts? A lot of people loved the feature but others worried it never allowed you to “hide” when playing the game. Bioware later removed it, stating it was a bug but many players wished they would bring it back with a toggle feature so if you didn’t want it, it wasn’t forced on you but those who liked it could use it. Another bug discovered just a couple weeks ago that was popular was the character select screen bug. In this bug, it allowed a different view from the character select screen- one that showed the character from about…
