There is a lot of buzz about Star Wars Battlefront 2 going around, as the much anticipated game will be launching this year. The recent DICE games of Battlefield and Battlefront have seen a growth in sales over time where games like Call of Duty are on the decline in sales. It appears that Dice won’t release any more new content updates for Star Wars Battlefront. Dice released a trailer for Battlefront Rogue One: Scarif. This will be the final digital expansion for Star Wars: Battlefront, and will drop next week, on december 6. for all season pass holders. Among the features of the new expansion are four new maps, which include “the planet “Scarif” that was featured in the theatrical trailer of “Rogue One.” The expansion will also introduce a pair of new heroes, Jyn Erso the good guy and Orson the bad guy, as well as a new “multi-stage game mode with space and ground combat.”” To celebrate one year since release, you can play the Outer Rim, Bespin, or Death Star expansion packs for free from now until November 20th. He announced he has worked his last day on Battlefront and it’s time to pass the reigns. He’s taking paternity leave to help out with his boys, one a recently announced new addition to the family. If beta player numbers are anything to go by – and by all accounts, they probably are – DICE’s Battlefield 1, a title currently under public testing, is set to handily soar by both Battlefield Hardline and Star Wars: Battlefront in regards to eventual sales and player numbers. What exactly are we talking about though? Here’s the low-down: it is estimated that currently there are some 681k people from around the globe playing the beta version of Battlefield 1. 43% of these people are playing on PS4, 34% on Xbox One and 23% on PC. By comparison, the beta of Star Wars: Battlefront drew some 374k players at its peak. During its first 6 months, the game then proceeded to sell some 14 million copies, which means that for every beta player, 37 actual players picked up the game when its full version became available. Are people still playing Battlefront? Are there as many playing as there were when it first launched? According to EA, millions of people are still playing online shooter Star Wars: Battlefront. EA reported its financial results for the three month period ending 30th June, and during that time 6.6 million played DICE’s Star Wars game. To many players, these stats are surprising since it doesn’t seem like there is as much interest in the game as there was at launch. The Battlefront community seems to have dropped from its high after release in November 2015.
