Star Wars Battlefront 2 Official Overview Preview

EA just posted a new video showing off Star Wars: Battlefront 2. Looks like they answered the vast majority of complaints fans had about the first Battlefront: Classes Better dog-fighting mechanics & emphasis on space battles More Vehicles Revamped Star-Card system More maps & locations Prequel content An actual single-player campaign But if I was a betting man I’d say people will still find something to complain about. Star Wars Battlefront 2 is slated for release on November 17 for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 with a $59.99 price tag. Anyone who pre-orders the game will receive access to the game’s beta period three days earlier than everyone else, among other bonuses. Meanwhile, pre-ordering the $79.99 Star Wars Battlefront II: Elite Trooper Deluxe Edition will guarantee a three-day early access to the full game. Eric Musco just informed the official Star Wars: The old Republic Community that SWTOR Game Update 5.5 will go live  on October 10 with some content shuffled into Game Update 5.6. Any update in the Roadmap? What about 5.5? | 09.13.2017, 05:07 PM Provide you with updates, I can! The roadmap is still in progress. We have been shuffling some things around with respect to 5.5 and 5.6 and we need that to settle before we can let you know exactly what is coming and when. It was our plan to put out Game Update 5.5 in late September but we have made the decision to move it into early October (currently 10/10). We did this to allow us more time to focus in on quality for our Game Updates to avoid some of the issues we had with 5.4. Class balance is still planned for 5.5. I expect I will start putting…

Colin Trevorrow is Fired as Star Wars Director

No director will ever be bigger than the franchise. Battlefront II: E3 and EA’s eSports Aspirations

If you were going to speak about the current status of eSports in a language that all Star Wars fans understand, you could perhaps say that the force is strong with this one. Competitive gaming is a fully-blown industry these days, with research suggesting that its revenues will hit $696 million this year and then grow to a massive $1.5 billion by 2020. It may not have yet been totally embraced by the mainstream, but every year eSports edges closer to that level with broadcasters showing major tournaments and the concept genuinely becoming big business. Like more standard sports, there are now thousands of fans attending events in person and millions more watching online, with major tournaments and teams attracting huge sponsorship deals with global brands including Audi and Red Bull. There is now even a burgeoning eSports betting scene, with sites like Bets io offering odds on major ties being played…

Star Wars Battlefront 2 Could Beat Call of Duty

There is a lot of buzz about Star Wars Battlefront 2 going around, as the much anticipated game will be launching this year. The recent DICE games of Battlefield and Battlefront have seen a growth in sales over time where games like Call of Duty are on the decline in sales. The Call of Duty franchise was a massive hit but it may have already peaked. This article from Gamer Headquarters talks about how Battlefront 2 could beat Call of Duty when it comes to sales. Here’s part of what they had to say about it: “The first Star Wars Battlefront topped over 14 million sales which is damn impressive for a franchise that’s been sitting dormant for many years. Sure, carrying the Star Wars name is helpful though to hit that level of sales is most certainly impressive. This really being for any game as few hit that high…

Battlefront II Will Be a Better Game but Possible Financial Disappointment

If you’re like the rest of us, you might be anxiously awaiting Battlefront II. The thing is, we don’t really know very much about it. That’s how they generally do these games. Anything Star Wars, especially since the new films have started production, is kept under lock and key for the most part, until it’s ready for release. That leaves a lot of open doors for speculation and Mathew Falvai of a90skid.com has some theories on what will happen with Battlefront II. In this post, he describes why he thinks it will be a better game but an overall financial disappointment. “My prediction is that gamers will do what they traditionally do and judge a game based on their last experience. The new Battlefront promises more robust single-player content, and an actual campaign, fixing two of the major issues. With the foundation of a jaw-droppingly beautiful engine and reusable assets already in place, DICE had…

Could Darth Revan Return to Star Wars Canon? Has He Already Been Seen?

Will we ever see Darth Revan reappear in Star Wars canon? Have we actually already seen this Legends-favorite Sith Lord? Darth Revan is arguably one of the most well known Sith Lords of all time. He has a huge following and it’s easy to understand why. That’s why it’s easy to see why so many fans want him to return to canon. It almost happened in a recent episode of The Clone Wars but the scene was deleted because Lucas felt it wasn’t keeping with the Star Wars legend he had created. Those from the Dark Side were not supposed to be able to return to the living after death. So it was a scrapped scene but a good prediction of what may have been. While Lucas doesn’t want to see Revan come back in this way, that doesn’t mean we’ll never see him return. He could return to canon…

No More New Content Updates For Star Wars Battlefront

It appears that Dice won’t release any more new content updates for Star Wars Battlefront. Since it’s no longer a secret that Battlefront 2 is in the works, it’s not really a big chock, but at least we now got an official confirmation on it, as EA Star Wars tweeted out: “There are currently no plans to add any new content updates to Star Wars Battlefront. ” @Gamemaster6481 There are currently no plans to add any new content updates to Star Wars Battlefront. — EAStarWars (@EAStarWars) February 15, 2017 So, I guess we have to stick with the game as it is,  until the sequel is out later this year. The Battlefront sequel from EA will be out in late 2017 and it will have a single player campaign and content from more than just the original trilogy timeline. It should have more content than the aforementioned 2015 video game….

The Story Behind the Doomed Battlefront 3

Sadly, there was a battlefront game that was never meant to be: Battlefront 3. Star Wars Battlefront is an action shooter video game developed by EA DICE, with additional work from Criterion Games, and published by Electronic Arts. Battlefront 3 was the game that we never got. Details and salvaged footage from Free Radical’s Star Wars Battlefront 3 can now be found online. The same game was once in alpha at TimeSplitters development studio, but cancelled. Eventually DICE picked it up and rebooted it, but without any of the original ideas. A Battlefront 3 campaign was going to see twin clones on a mission to boost the Galactic Republic. So fans of Star Wars: Battlefront I and Star Wars: Battlefront II were looking for their Star Wars: Battlefront III and got Star Wars Battlefront instead. A lot of people were disappointed in EA’s Star Wars Battlefront for various reasons. Many will agree…

Should Star Wars Expand its Gaming Horizons?

Star Wars has enjoyed a revitalisation to their franchise with the launch of a new series of films, beginning in 2015 with The Force Awakens. The trend continued with Rogue One which was released at the end of last year, with both movies enjoying great success at the box office with the latter surpassing the $800m mark following its release before Christmas. One of the most prominent avenues of the series’ success has been the fruitful transition of the franchise on to several gaming platforms. Beginning with the Empire Strikes Back on Atari in 1982, two years following the release of the film, the series has gone from strength to strength, and has even spawned several spin-offs in all formats, including shoot ‘em-ups, RPG and action-adventure. Where’s the Star Wars Slot Game? However, for all the success the series has enjoyed across multiple platforms, one area it has not strayed…

See you next year! — Dennis Brännvall (@DICE_FireWall) November 7, 2016 Many from the US will agree that we need better maternity/paternity leave programs here as dads nearly never secure time off and the mothers get only a short time, or are sometimes forced to quit or have their positions replaced while they are away on maternity leave. Lucky for Brannvall, he lives in a country that respects the value of family and he should be back…
