Star Wars Holochess Inspired Mobile Game

For 30 years, Phil Tippett has been creating monsters for the movies, including the memorable Holochess game in the original Star Wars film. And now he’s made the monsters for a new augmented reality mobile game, HoloGrid: Monster Battle and it looks really awesome. If you haven’t yet seen or heard of this game, you’ve been missing out. Really, this is full of awesome. The game is from HappyGiant and features monsters that were designed by Phil Tippett himself. A lifetime of experience and imagination from the two-time Academy Award winner for Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and Jurassic Park  can now be carried around in the palm of your hand. Changes to Start at level 60 Armor in SWTOR

We missed a forum update by Eric Musco late last night, but Start at 60 armor granted to new characters will become bind on pick starting with patch 4.1. Hey folks, Right now, when you make a brand new Start at 60 character, the armor that your character is wearing is Bind on Legacy. This has allowed players to make characters with the purpose of moving that armor appearance around to other characters. What we have seen on our side is that this has created a large increase in players creating characters just to get the armor sets, and then deleting those characters. This has created a negative impact on the data side. In order address this, we need to make some changes to how that gear works. Starting in Game Update 4.1, the gear that comes with a Start at 60 character will be Bind on Pickup. This change will…

Many Bothans died to bring us this information. But seriously, someone got their hands on the cancelled Star Wars Battlefront III build and released it. We don’t know how to he did it. Vendor Map Icons now display correctly when in a phase of Solitaire. All planet and companion names and descriptions now appear in the French and German clients. Companions now correctly follow players on Guild Flagships. The Blaster’s Path Cantina Quick Travel location on Rishi now persists after log out. Players starting the Shadow of Revan Mission chain on their ship now see their Companions react more specifically to their klondike solitaire relationship status. The time has come for another SWTOR Community Cantina, the last on the calendar for 2015.  This time the Cantina lines up with New York Comic Con and there was a decent turnout at the Hard Rock Cafe. When I arrived around 6:20, there was already a line forming outside the building. They got the cosplayers inside early and the rest of us promptly at 7pm. We were given tickets for free drinks and our other goodies and Hard Rock staff were walking around with some good food (great for those who had just come over from NY Comic Con and also for those of us standing around in line awaiting entry.) As always, the staff are super friendly and always around to chat and answer questions. Here are the latest round of patch notes for game update 3.2.1: Jedi Knight Sentinel Removed the Defensive Forms Skillful Utility New Skillful Utility: Stoic. Stoic increases your damage reduction by 2%, and you build 2 Centering when attacked. This Centering building effect cannot occur more than once every 1.5 seconds. Defensive Roll now additionally increases internal and elemental damage reduction by 5%. Force Fade now additionally increases your movement speed by 15%. Watchman The Cauterize burn effect now deals damage 3 times (up from 2 times) over 6 seconds. Merciless Zeal has been redesigned: Your Cauterize, Overload Saber, and Force Melt burns heal you for 15% of the damage they deal. Watchman Cauterize now deals its elemental damage over 6 seconds (down from 9 seconds). Force Melt now only costs 2 focus (down from 3 focus), and the damage it deals has been slightly reduced.
