You know that we love bringing you community created items and tools to help you enjoy the game more, or just things that we think are cool. So here’s a SWTOR crew skills diagram that we think is worth taking a look at. This is a great cart and while the regular updates and additions might make it feel a little cluttered for some, we think the more info, the more useful. See below: As you can see, this chart has a great deal of information for building your crew skills. Do you think it has everything? Too much? What would you like to see in a crew skills diagram?

Star Wars as 17th-century Japanese Prints
Maybe it’s because I am such a huge fan of art and Star Wars (of course) but I really love this project I came across from a Japanese crowdfunding site, Makuake. The project is for traditional woodblock prints of the original George Lucas Star Wars characters and the project far exceeded its goal. While they do not come cheap (a single print costs 54,000 yen/$434, with a set of three going for 162,000 yen/$1,303) they are worth every penny. The craftsmanship, art and patience that goes into each beautiful piece is amazing. Most Star Wars fans will know that George Lucas was influenced by the Japanese filmmaker Akira Kurosawa and that Kurosawa’s 1958 period adventure The Hidden Fortress often cited as a direct inspiration for Lucas’ first Star Wars film so it makes sense that Star Wars could then be so easily and beautiful adapted to its Japanese roots. These are…
Check Out the ‘Star Wars: Uprising’ Gameplay Trailer Kabam Just Released
You know how we love our Star Wars games around here. We know you love them too and that’s why we work to bring you the latest and greatest if it’s related to Star Wars gaming. That said, we were excited to hear about a new game that tied into the new movie Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Is anyone really surprised about this, either? Of course they are going to try to tie in everything and anything, with the popularity of the movies and all that. What was less exciting was the news that this would be a mobile game only. I like mobile games, don’t get me wrong, but I really wanted to see something bigger and better from this. Still, it’s being made by Kabam and this pretty much guarantees two things: It will be worth downloading It will be free to play Kabam has a way that they…
The 3.3 Drinking Game Celebration!
Hey, what fun would a new patch be if we didn’t turn it into a drinking game (adults only)? Here we have a lovely little way to enjoy 3.3 and celebrate with inebriated style! Every new patch, especially an update that brings new classes or other physical features to the game, is going to also bring the hordes of wanting to try the new class, the new zone, etc. Every MMORPGer knows this (and often dreads it on update day). So why not turn it into a little fun or have a few laughs from it? In all seriousness, if you drink, please drink responsibly.

Super Cool Stuff from Calvin’s Custom
We have brought you posts about the awesome stuff that Calvin’s Customs does before and now we have another awesome custom project to share with you. He talks about what it is he was commissioned to do and why he decided to do it below. There are also some awesome pictures plus more on his Facebook page. He’s also been doing a lot of Darth Revan’s recently (no surprise at the popularity there) and even some cool non-Star Wars stuff if you’re into collectibles. Really so much talent here! He has some great Conan the Barbarians, bad ass looking Batman, an original design “Apocalyptic Hard Rocker”, military cyborg creations and much more. Here are details from the Miraluka project: As a old fashion muscle n bullets, mud and blood guy, I rarely do female figures, but there are exceptions, like this one, a special commission for a SWTOR friend, instead of…
Star Wars: Battlefront Alpha is Not the Full Game
There is a lot of talk about Star Wars: Battlefront and understandably so. With the date of launch easing ever so closer, fans will continue to look for every little piece of gameplay info they can find. In doing so, we want to take a moment to remind you that Alpha game footage and leaks can be deceiving. Alpha is not the full game. We repeat, Alpha is NOT the full game. For a variety of reasons, the Alpha is a barebones, stripped version of the real game. This makes it easier to show testers the basic gameplay and even graphics and more but without requiring them to download the full game and also without releasing the game in entirety during a testing phase. This is standard practice with video game launches and testing. So if you’re judging the full game based on the Alpha, keep this in mind. Folks…
Star Wars: Battlefront Available First on Xbox One through EA Access
If you’re anxious for Star Wars: Battlefront, you might like this little tidbit that came out today via Phil Spencer’s Twitter feed. Battlefront will be available first on XBox One through EA Access: @MJC3809 @majornelson @EAAccess @XboxQwik @DMC_Ryan Yes you can play SW: Battlefront first on Xbox One, exclusively with @EAAccess — Phil Spencer (@XboxP3) July 20, 2015 Awesome for those who already have an XBox One or EA Access. With Access, you will get early access to the game, about 5 days before the game actually releases for everyone (usually). Also, if you have an XBox One already and don’t have Access, it’s really affordable, making it a steal to get early access to the game. You could sign up just for this and if you don’t want to keep it after that, then of course you can cancel. If you already have it, win-win all around, right?
Rendered Luke vs Real Luke
Can a rendered Luke Skywalker look like the real thing? With the right team and equipment, it might even look more real than the actual Luke. Here are some screenshots to prove it. The rendered Luke is taken from Star Wars: Battlefront. CG is more difficult than one might think and it usually requires an entire team of CG animators/artists to create what might seem like a simple project such as this. Often times you might have a person working on hair or facial effects while another is working on simulation effects to get the right completed look. There are researchers who will go through photographs and other tools of the person they are animating/rendering. Again, it’s not easy. But the results can be pretty fantastic. We can’t help but wonder what the actor thinks of this. It would be like seeing a younger you come to life. How cool…
Star Wars Battlefront: Star Cards Customization
Star Wars: Battlefront allows you to pick three Star Cards before each game. This video will show you how they work. Here’s a video from Westie: As you can see from the video, each card has its own unique ability or attack. They have personal shields, jetpacks and more. Players will get to use each card during the battle but it will have limited use or a recharge mechanic. The video shows it all in more detail but the system is somewhat like that in Titanfall’s burn cards. There are other games that have done similar concepts as well. All in all, it looks like a neat little addition to an FPS. What are your thoughts?
Jar Jar was Playable Hero in Cancelled BFIII: Free Radical Game Footage
This video shows leaked alpha gameplay of Star Wars: Battlefront III, which was to have been the third video game in the Star Wars: Battlefront series. Although LucasArts never announced the game, Free Radical Design developed the game from 2006 until 2008. The video gives you an example of how vast the battles would have been: all the Republic’s Cruisers you see on the video are piloted by full crews of real players. So one thing we learned from this footage is that Jar Jar would have been a playable hero. Would you play him? Would you play him just to run him into an untimely death? With all the hate on Jar Jar, it makes you wonder why they put him in the game. So I did some digging and it looks like this wasn’t necessarily THE JarJar. They just put the Gungan race in the Hunt mode. Personally,…
Star Wars: Battlefront Command Center
Someone is seriously ready for Star Wars: Battlefront. We saw this and had to share it here with you. Bravo to this fan for the coolest Star wars: Battlefront setup we’ve seen so far. How awesome is that?! How many monitors do you use? How do you think it affects how you play and enjoy your games? We know this is a bit more than the average gamer but it sure is cool to look at. As some pointed out, it might be better if the monitors were debezzled but it’s still pretty darn awesome.
“How I Blew 100M Credits in SWTOR”
If you’re looking for a cool way to blow a ton of credits, check out one player’s personal project: Jidiaderriphan’s Imperial Sanctuary You can see from Jidiaderriphan’s Imperial Sanctuary that there are many customizations that can take place in the game if you have the credits, dedication and willingness to invest the time to such a project. You know how we love seeing cool stuff from fans and this is one awesome stronghold! Could you do the same thing on a budget? Mostly likely so if you were looking to craft things on your own and save some credits, and if you were not in a rush to build. Either way, we think it’s awesome and if you’ve done something similar, we want to see it too! Breakdown of costs (from the creator) These are estimates of where I’m getting my costs: x50 imperial standard flags: (80k each) -4M x50 imperial…
Revealed: ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Behind-the-Scenes Footage
The most exciting panel at San Diego Comic-Con, on Star Wars: The Force Awakens was full of surprises. Harrison Ford took the stage, we found out Simon Pegg will be playing a creature in the movie and there was an exclusive Star Wars party afterward with free lightsabers and everyone at the panel was invited. But the biggest surprise out of the entire thing was this behind-the-scenes footage. Fans at San Diego Comic-Con’s Hall H were treated to a special look behind the scenes of Star Wars:The Force Awakens by director J.J. Abrams, producer and Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy and writer Lawrence Kasdan. The filmmakers were joined on stage by cast members Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford to the surprise and delight of fans. At the end of the Hall H presentation, the entire Hall H audience of…
Star Wars Battlefront Closed Alpha Hoth Multiplayer 4K Ultra Settings Screens
One of the members of EA’s alpha test of Star Wars Battlefront has captured in-game screenshots of a multiplayer match played on Hoth. The shots are all in 4K and show the game’s highest possible settings and it looks fantastic! As we await the game for ourselves, leaved alpha info like these screenshots are a great way to get an idea for what we can expect from the beta and eventually the actual release of the game. Of course, we know that games can change (sometimes a lot) from their testing phase but it’s good to see shots like this and confirm that this game is indeed as beautiful as the trailer would indicate. The same user captured screens for the Missions mode on Tatooine last week and of course, we love them! Have a look at some more of the screenshots: You can see all of them in high…

We have some more exciting news about Star Wars: Battlefront, this confirmed by Spanish EA StarWars Facebook page and Spanish EA Star Wars Official Page. Stay tuned for more information on these exciting multiplayer modes. This is definitely an interesting development. The big question now is how they will do it. Will it be similar to BFII? Could There Be Another CGI Trailer for the Expansion?
We all know there was a great deal of hype about the new expansion and the trailer for it when it was revealed (and even when some info was leaked early). So a big question now is: will there be another CGI trailer? There are some fans who definitely think there might be. With all the efforts and marketing budgets they have dumped into marketing KotFE so far, there is a very good chance we might see a second trailer. This is the kind of thing that would surprise a lot of fans and definitely continue to fuel the hype train about the new expansion. What are some subtle signs there could be another trailer coming soon? Well, it’s all speculation of course, but the only characters who had artwork in the Fallen Empire page were the ones in the new trailer. Maybe this is a sign they have some…

How Credit Sellers are Getting Smarter
A common problem in MMORPGs is credit/gold farmers and sellers. SWTOR is not alone in this scenario. As gamers, we know there will always be currency farmers and this market can have an impact on the credit market within the game and the servers as well. This has long been the nature of MMORPGs but some gamers have tried to find ways to minimize the damage done by it, such as microtransactions or World of Warcraft’s gold token system. Still, credit spammers will try to find ways to get those customers coming in and while it seems there will never be a shortage of people looking to buy, they are still always looking for ways to sucker in a new customer. They even resort to trying to trick people into visiting their links and buying their services. A new way that these sneaky credit sellers are finding to trick people…
Star Wars: Battlefront is Not Like Battlefield
We’ve heard the comparisons before so I’m sure you have as well: Battlefront is going to be just like a Star Wars themed Battlefield. Right? Wrong. Actually, Star Wars: Battlefront is not going to vary from Battlefield in a variety of ways. Let’s take a look. First, shooting and vehicles are going to be different. These are some of the most important aspects of a Battlefield game so it’s very important to distinguish how Battlefront will be different. Customization options are also different in Battlefront. Presentation-wise, it’s definitely a Star Wars game and you won’t just feel like it’s a skinned Battlefield game. Hardcoregamer.com tells us more: To get this out of the way, Star Wars: Battlefront is not a Battlefield game. Battlefront does share some similar mechanics with the Battlefield franchise, but not enough to say this is Battlefield: Star Wars. If anything, Star Wars: Battlefront is extremely faithful…

Star Wars the Old Republic: Knights of the Fallen Empire Reactions
As you know, fans of SWTOR are excited for Knights of the Fallen Empire, present company included. It’s definitely time for something new and exciting to the game and we think this expansion is going to bring a lot of that. In fact, we expect it to also bring in new players as well as old players who have quit and decide to return. Of course, that is one of the purposes of a video game expansion and it’s an important part of a good game marketing strategy but that doesn’t mean it’s always effective or executed correctly. This time, we think Bioware has really put the right talent, time and attention into this expansion. Carbonite time skip, new story, new gear, new options… there is a lot to immerse yourself in with this one and people who play Bioware RPGs are most often looking for that story. They want…
