How many Jedi survived order 66

How many Jedi survived order 66?

Order 66, also known as the Great Jedi Purge, was a key moment in the Star Wars franchise that occurred at the end of the Clone Wars. It was a directive issued by Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, secretly the Sith Lord Darth Sidious, to the clone troopers of the Grand Army of the Republic, ordering them to execute their Jedi Generals. This moment marked the end of the Republic and the beginning of the Galactic Empire, as the Jedi were essentially wiped out by the clones they had trusted as allies. But how many Jedi were able to survive this tragic event? According to an article from Collider, there were roughly 200,000 known Jedi at the time of the Clone Wars. This number includes both full-fledged Jedi Knights and Initiates in training. However, it is important to note that this number is likely an underestimation, as the Jedi Order was secretive…

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Will Have what some people call “Crude Language"

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Will Have what some people call “Crude Language”

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a highly anticipated game set in the Star Wars universe that has recently been announced to feature crude language. This includes the use of words like “damn” “bastard” and “hell,” which may come as a surprise to some fans of the franchise. Despite the inclusion of this mature content, the game will still maintain a moderate level of violence, similar to the previous game in the series. However, it has been revealed that limb cutting will now be present in the game, adding an even more intense element to the gameplay. According to the Singapore IMDA, the game is only suitable for players aged 16 and above. This rating suggests that the game may not be suitable for younger audiences due to its graphic content. Fans of the Star Wars franchise have mixed reactions to this announcement. Some are excited to see a more realistic…

Atari 2600 Game: Star Wars - Jedi Arena

Let’s play: Star Wars: Jedi Arena (1983) – Atari 2600

Star Wars: Jedi Arena was a video game released for the Atari 2600 console in 1983. Developed by Parker Brothers and Lucasfilm Games (now known as LucasArts), the game was based on the popular Star Wars franchise and was designed to be a simple and accessible arcade-style experience for players. In the game, players control a Jedi Knight armed with a lightsaber, who must face off against a rival Jedi Knight in a duel to the death. The two Jedi knights are positioned on opposite ends of the arena, and the goal is to strike the other Jedi with your lightsaber while avoiding their attacks. Players can move their Jedi knight left and right along the bottom of the screen, and can also deflect incoming blaster bolts by pressing the fire button. One unique feature of Jedi Arena was the “force field” that surrounded the arena. This force field would…

Why Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Won’t Allow Dismemberment Too Often

Despite the fact that every true Star Wars fan knows and respects the limb-slicing capabilities of a lightsaber – we really haven’t seen much of it in the franchise’s video games. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order isn’t going to break the cycle either, says Aaron Contreras, the narrative lead at Respawn Entertainment. While the developers recognize that players would love to have the ability to chop off arms and other body parts – Respawn states that they prefer to save this gruesome display of power for pivotal moments in the story itself. A sentiment that they believe follows the same climatic experiences of the Star Wars movies. Star Wars games have, for the most part, been pretty conservative when it comes to gore and extreme violence. A few key moments in campaigns feature some brutal lightsaber action, but not much else. There have been titles where the gore levels were…

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Interview Sheds Light on Game’s Dark Origins

In an interview with STACK, Respawn Entertainment’s narrative lead, Aaron Contreras provided further details about the backstory behind Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, gameplay info, and more. Why Fallen Order is Set Shortly After Revenge of the Sith When asked about the timeline of the game, Contreras stated that the Respawn team decided to roll with a period just a few years past Revenge of the Sith because they found it to be one of the most intriguing ages in the Star Wars franchise. Aaron went on to say that due to the Empire having immense power throughout the galaxy during this time and Order 66 being in place, this period paved the way for a story based on an emerging hero – one that has to stay off the Empire’s radar and fighting to flee persecution. Why Force Players to Utilize a Specific Character? Aaron also shed a little…

We Want More Star Wars Games (But Without Jedi?)

I think something we can all agree on is that we want more Star Wars games. I’ve been writing about it here for years and even more sadly, written about it each time an anticipated Star Wars game got canned. And honestly, it sucks. Which is why a lot of fans are excited about the latest Star Wars game on the way – Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. And there’s also that little Lego Star Wars game I keep talking about… But anyway, back to Fallen Order. It may be the next game we’re getting, but is it really the next Star Wars game fans wanted? Robert Endyo from Gameverse has a theory that Star Wars gamer fans want to see less Jedi. Gamers would also like games that would be great as eSports. This site provides the best strategies for e-sports betting. Here’s some of what he has to…

Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order

How can EA ensure Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is a success?

When video games based on movies get announced, they are often not greeted with high expectations from fans. This has been the case for many years, and there doesn’t appear to be any sign that things are changing, but there’s always been at least one exception. Star Wars video games have been on both sides of this debate, with titles like KOTOR, Battlefront and The Old Republic receiving critical acclaim, while others have ranged from mediocrity to outright awful. The next big title to hit the market will be Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, which was announced at E3 in 2018 and will be released towards the end of 2019. So, how can EA ensure that the latest franchise offering is a complete success? Here are some of our top suggestions that could help Fallen Order prevail and meet the expectations of those already waiting for it. Limit the bugs First impressions count for…

Lenova is Updating Star Wars: Jedi Challenges

Lenovo and Disney are rolling out a new mode for their Star Wars: Jedi Challenges game and this means you’re going to face off against your buds in lightsaber duels. How awesome is that?! Lenovo is rolling out an update to its Stars Wars: Jedi Challenges title that introduces local multiplayer. Lightsaber Versus Mode is a new feature that lets players battle their friends in AR lightsaber duels. Both players will need a Lenovo Mirage AR Headset, Lightsaber controller and a tracking beacon, costing $199. That’s a hefty investment for most people, unless you have a couple hundred bucks to blow, or you already have the set for other games and AR stuff. Lenova announced the news in a press release earlier today: “In Lightsaber Versus Mode, players are guided by visual cues indicating when and where to block, dodge, and strike,” Lenovo wrote. “As players face off, the battle increases in difficulty until one…

Why Jedi Have To Be Trained So Young

Why must Jedi initiates be taken away from their parents to be trained as Jedi at such a young age? We explain why this is and look at examples of when this did not occur and left students destined down a path of darkness. We also look at good examples when students who joined the order much later excelled in their duties as Jedi knights. Have you ever noticed how Jedi are always really young when they were trained? Many were taken from their homes and their families when they were just young children. So what is the reason for this? Some people think it’s because they want to get the Jedi before they love. This isn’t exactly the truth. While it’s true that they want to get them before they form attachments, this doesn’t mean they don’t want them to love. Love is okay – and even encouraged. But…

SWTOR: The Academy, Ep 15 – “Codes & Creeds”

It’s that time again – time for another episode of The Academy. This one, episode 15, will tell you all about codes and creeds. There are many codes and creeds in the Star Wars universe so you will also see them throughout SWTOR. One of the first you will hear in the game is the Jedi Code: There is no death, there is only the Force.  There is no emotion, there is peace. There is no ignorance, there is knowledge. There is no passion, there is serenity. There is no chaos, there is harmony. There is no death, there is the Force. They then go on to tell you the code of the Sith, which is basically the opposite of the Jedi Code. Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory. Through victory, my chains…

15 Reasons Why Jedi Knights Are Better than Pirates and Ninjas

There are too many pirates and ninjas roaming the Interwebs for my liking, so  it makes sense to examine specifically why Jedi Knights pwn both Ninjas and Pirates. 1. Ninjas and Pirates have to at least break a sweat to disarm each other.  A Jedi Knight just has to think it and you’re screwed. 2. Ninjas may use stealth, but Jedi Knights can use the Force to make you freakin’ forget they were even there.  In fact, with just a wave of a Jedi’s hand, you might end up finding yourself rocking back and forth outside a 7-11 while drooling profusely. 3. Seriously, can you name a ninja or pirate that is able to take out Sith Lord like Darth Maul, or a giant beast like the Rancor?  I didn’t think so… 4. A sword used by a Pirate or a Ninja can be broken.  Try and break a lightsaber. …

Faction lore: Jedi Order

The Jedi Order was an ancient and noble monastic peacekeeping organization unified by its belief and observance of the Force. The Jedi were the guardians of peace and justice in the Galactic Republic, and became the most famous of the various groups that relied on the Force for their power. Led by a series of Jedi Councils, the Order grew over the millennia despite facing many trials, most often threats from the Sith, wielders of the dark side of the Force. Origins and brief history of the Order Since the beginning and most likely before the Galactic Republic, scientists had been studying the Force and its connection to midi-chlorians. This research was conducted most notably by the Paladins of the Chatos Academy, The Followers of Palawa and the Order of Dai Bendu, on planets like Ondos and Had Abbadon. The Jedi Order itself, however, began on Tython, where the brightest…

Know your lore: Jedi Exile

The Jedi Exile was created by Obsidian Entertainment as the primary protagonist in the 2005 PC and Xbox video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords . As of this time, the character called the Jedi Exile has no name, because the player is prompted to create one, or select a randomly generated identity at the start of the game. Because of this, in game characters only refer to her as “the exile.”Although the character’s canon allegiance has not been stated precisely, she is called a “heroine” in The New Essential Guide to Droids. This is backed up by the fact that, as of the release of The Sith Lords, every canon game ending has been the light side version. The Knights of the Old Republic Campaign Guide has confirmed that the light-side ending is indeed the canonical one. The Exile’s Jedi class is as…
