PTS Update – March 13th, 2014

The public tester servers were down for a few hours today. During that Time, BioWare added a new patch. The changes are listed below:

General

Classes +Combat
Jedi Knight
Guardian

  • Focused Defense has been redesigned: It now empowers you with 10 charges of Focused Defense, lasting up to 30 seconds. Whenever you take damage a charge of Focused Defense is consumed to heal you for a moderate amount. This ability can be used while stunned or otherwise controlled but cannot be used while above 70% health. Cooldown increased from 45 seconds to 2 minutes.

Sith Warrior
Juggernaut

  • Enraged Defense has been redesigned: It now empowers you with 10 charges of Enraged Defense, lasting up to 30 seconds. Whenever you take damage a charge of Enraged Defense is consumed to heal you for a moderate amount. This ability can be used while stunned or otherwise controlled but cannot be used while above 70% health. Cooldown increased from 45 seconds to 2 minutes.

Jedi Consular
Sage

  • The “Unshakeable” buff is now correctly placed on the Sage while Enduring Bastion is in effect.
  • Enduring Bastion (from Force Barrier) now properly grants interrupt immunity while it is active.
  • Presence of Mind now builds up a charge whenever the Sage deals damage with Telekinetic Throw. At 3 charges, the next Disturbance or Mind Crush is cast instantly and deals 35% more damage.

Telekinetics

  • Concentration now decreases the pusback from Turbulance by 50%/100% (up from 35%/70%).
  • The chance to trigger Tidal Force is now 100% (up from 60% for Disturbance and Turbulence and 20% for Forcequake) and is based on ability activation rather than dealing damage with Disturbance, Turbulence, or Forcequake. The 10-second rate limit remains.

Sith Inquisitor
Sorcerer

  • The “Unshakeable” buff is now correctly placed on the Sorcerer while Enduring Bastion is in effect.
  • Enduring Bastion (from Force Barrier) now properly grants interrupt immunity while it is active.
  • Wrath now builds up a charge whenever the Sorcerer deals damage with Force Lightning. At 3 charges, the next Lightning Strike or Crushing Darkness is cast instantly and deals 35% more damage.

Lightning

  • Subversion now decreases the pushback from Thundering Blast by 50%/100% (up from 35%/70%).
  • The chance to trigger Lightning Storm is now 100% (up from 60% for Lightning Strike and Thundering Blast and 20% for Force Storm) and is based on ability activation rather than dealing damage with Lightning Strike, Thundering Blast, or Force Storm. The 10-second rate limit remains.

Smuggler
Gunslinger

  • Corrected a tooltip error on the Flash Powder ability.
  • Dodge will no longer give Gunslingers resistance to Force/Tech abilities. (PTS specific – reverts to current Live functionality).

Dirty Fighting (Gunslinger)

  • Hold Your Ground now reduces the cooldown of Defense Screen by 2/4 seconds (down from 7.5/15 seconds).

Scoundrel

  • Knockout will now allow a Backblast from any position for 10 seconds instead of 1 minute and 5 seconds.
  • Corrected tooltip for K.O. to properly say it affects Back Blast.

Sawbones

  • Emergent Emergencies now re-grants Upper Hand when Emergency Medpac is activated regardless of the target’s health percentage (up from only below 30%), but this re-grant can only occur once every ten seconds.

Dirty Fighting (Scoundrel)

  • Scurry now has a 50%/100% chance to make the next Kolto Pack activate instantly, cost no energy, and not require or consume Upper Hand.
  • Smuggled Defenses now reduces the cooldown of Defense Screen by 2/4 seconds (down from 7.5/15 seconds).

Imperial Agent
Sniper

  • Corrected a tooltip error on the Flash Powder ability.
  • Evasion will no longer gives Snipers resistance to Force/Tech ability. (PTS specific – reverts to current Live functionality).

  • Jarring Strikes will now allow a Backstab from any position for 10 seconds instead of 1 minute and 5 seconds.

Medicine

  • Surgical Precision now re-grants Tactical Advantage when Surgical Probe is activated regardless of the target’s health percentage (up from only below 30%), but this re-grant can only occur once every ten seconds.

Lethality (Operative)

  • Quickening now has a 50%/100% chance to make the next Kolto Infusion activate instantly, cost no energy, and not require or consume Tactical Advantage.
  • Escape Plan now reduces the cooldown of Shield Probe by 2/4 seconds (down from 7.5/15 seconds).

Flashpoints +Operations

  • The Lockouts tab will now show all the locked bosses as intended.
  • In Assault on Tython, Darth Soverus won’t leave people stuck in the air if he dies while players are lifted.
  • Darth Soverus and Commander Jensyn now reset when kited out of their rooms in Assault on Tython.
  • Master Oric Thraless will no longer jump behind the forcefield when jumping towards the left Datacron in Assault on Tython.
  • During his encounter in Assault on Tython, Lord Goh will now properly approach the targeted Datacron when using “Untold Knowledge.”
  • Nightmare Concussion Mine will now be properly removed during the Corruptor Zero encounter in Nightmare Dread Fortress.
  • Corruptor Zero will no longer cast Unified Beam directly after a Nightmare Concussion Mine, allowing the debuff to be removed.
  • Dread Master Brontes’ Energy Spheres will no longer target tanks, healers, or the same target twice in a row (except when there are fewer targets available).
  • Reduced the radius of Security Chief Zokar’s Rocket Launcher ability in Czerka Corporate Labs.
  • Added two more Kolto Stations to the Security Chief Zokar encounter in Czerka Corporate Labs.
  • Added collision fields in Korriban Incursion and Assault on Tython to address situations where players could avoid boss abilities by climbing on the environment.
  • Bounty Hunters have re-evaluated their morals and now have a light side choice on the Secure the Jedi Council Holoterminal mission step in Assault on Tython.
  • The Codex entry “Taking The Sith Academy” is now granted to all players upon entering the Korriban Incursion Flashpoint.

Galactic Starfighter
General

  • Ambient music has been added to the Denon Exosphere.
  • Objectives captured by your team on the Denon Exosphere map are now correctly shown in green.

Ships + Hangar

  • The S-SC4 Bloodmark and the FT-3C Imperium have had Ship Mastery achievements added.

Component + Crew

  • Seeker Mines now have a proper in-game model.

Missions + NPCs
