The Blending of Video Games and Video Slots and How that Affects Gambling Industry

The people who played the first and simplest machine slots back in the 19th century, with only three reels and one row, certainly couldn’t imagine how the slot industry will look like after only a few decades. Machine slots are a thing of the past, and except some nostalgic old-timers, nobody plays them anymore. Most people agree that machine slots in the 21st century belong to museums and passionate collectors. Because, who would want to play machine slots, with this many video slots to choose from? The design, interface, and technology of making video slots even better and more playable are getting better each day, and it seems that the next generation slots would be almost indistinguishable from video games. In this article, we will try to answer the question of where that blending of video slots with video games will lead us. On this online casino list, you can…

A Look Inside the LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special

The holiday season is approaching. Are you ready? This is a wonderous, magical time of the year, and it’s also a time when all of our favorite shows give us holiday specials. Starwars.com gives us an inside look at the Lego Star Wars holiday special Here’s a snippet: “”The creative team looked at their own favorite holiday classics, from Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer to Planes, Trains, and Automobiles, for inspiration. And what they found was that that kind of storytelling was a surprisingly good fit for Star Wars. “I think what aligns so much about these specials with Star Wars is that, at the end of the day, you don’t have a good Star Wars story if you don’t have heart. If you don’t have soul,” Waugh says. “And I think the reason those holiday stories are timeless is because there are lessons. Whether all of those specials are great or not, they are trying to…

Lightsaber Vs Blaster – What’s the BEST STAR WARS Weapon?

“Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid.” Is Han Solo correct or just being a big mouth? In this video Napyet compares the iconic Star Wars BLASTER and LIGHTSABER in a duel to end all duels – let the war of words commence! Check it out: So, what do you think? Which one is your favorite weapon? Do you feel he got it right when it comes to this duel? While he makes good points for his case, in reality, it would come down to a matter of opinion and personal preferences. I once asked a similar question in a niche group I’m in – which is the better weapon: gun or sword? Star Wars Provides New Evidence For The Mandalorian’s Baby Yoda Clone Theory

It’s more than apparent that the real star of The Mandalorian is The Child, or “baby Yoda”, as he has been dubbed by the public. The Child has a very integral role in the storyline of The Mandalorian when the main character is sent to retrieve him, but then becomes suspicious of what they plan to do with him. A new Star Wars book provides more evidence that the Empire was trying to clone Baby Yoda, which was hinted at in Season One of the show. A new, franchise companion guide, aptly titled The Star Wars Book, now lends even more credence to the “Baby Yoda” clone theory. The new Star Wars Book is just one of several hitting the shelves this month. (Another, Star Wars: Fascinating Facts, has already revealed franchise secrets.) The Star Wars Book, however, shares in-universe details. Of those is this line, “Rumors spread of Imperial attempts to create clones of unique species.” We…

An Esports Opportunity for the RPG Genre

The esport market has long been dominated by a certain genre of game – high action, high energy – the big names such as Counter-Strike, League of Legends and DoTA have carved the way for newer titles to enter the market with the same formula as smaller titles such as Rocket League have gained popularity in recent times – one big outlier has always been the role-playing game genre however as it does little to entertain a more casual viewer, but this could be changing. We’ve seen the rise and fall of some of the biggest RPG games such as the very namesake of this site in the Star Wars The Old Republic Online, and the recent failings of huge games such as Guild Wars 2 which had tried to build a bit of an esports scene through its online arena, but the approach has typically be stifled from the…

YouTuber creates real-life ‘Star Wars’ lightsaber that slices steel

What Star Wars fan doesn’t love lightsabers? They are iconic with the franchise and in my years as a fan and a writer, I’ve seen so many lightsabers – at conventions, guild meetups, costume parties and even for Halloween – but none hold a candle to this one. It’s one-of-a-kind, at least for now. A real working plasma lightsaber. It’s expensive, it’s intricate, and this engineer did it! He and his team have been creating lightsabers for over four years now, but this is their first working plasma-based lightsaber that actually slices through steel. It’s over 3,000 degrees! And the best part? He made a video to tell and show you exactly how they did it. Be warned: you probably can’t do this at home. But it’s super cool to see how they do it! The video of him making this, which is part of his “Make it Real” series,…

If you can’t go trick or treating or to your favorite Halloween parties, you can still enjoy the holiday by dressing up. Others are choosing for smaller get-togethers, or outdoor events where they can still practice social distancing. Whatever your plans are, you can do it in Star Wars style if you choose one of these or related costumes. I’m a real sucker for cosplay and homemade costumes but not everyone has the budget, the time, or the ability to build their own. If that’s you, then I invite you to check out Amazon. If you have Prime, you can get any of these…

Slot Machines vs Video Poker Games

Over the years, slot machines have been hugely popular. Nowadays, slots still are the most played casino games. They appeared back in the days of Charles Fairy in 1894. Over the years, there have been many changes and iterations to bring them to the current state.  One could even say that video poker is one of such iterations, albeit a drastic one. Nevertheless, both slot machines and video poker games are top-rated in casinos. They also have some similarities and significant differences. Slot Machines Charles Fey was a mechanic in San Francisco, who made the first slot. It was called the Liberty Bell and was created in 1894. It featured only three reels and paid out when a single symbol appeared on all three reels. Today, there have been massive advances in the style, presentation, and even slot machines platforms. How Slots Work Most slot machines have five reels and…
