You know how we love Star Wars Galaxies here. Honestly, I am a fan of SWTOR since release as well, but I still loved SWG and I do miss it and the community that was built around it when it was closed back in 2011. It’s great to see so many fellow fans come together to bring the game back in the form of the SWG emulator. While not exact, it is very much like the original game and it’s a real throwback for serious fans, or for those who have heard about SWG through the popularity of current Star Wars games, but who never had the chance to play it themselves. The emulator, Legends, has also had some updates to make it even better. NGE seemed to make it more streamlined, and more polished, which many players will agree with. The downside, however, was you couldn’t customize the character…

Is SWTOR Dead?!
We’ve been publishing on this site for years before SWTOR launched. We were so excited about the game. No one was as pumped as we were. We brought you every rumor, every insider tip, and every breaking news story as soon as we heard about it. Since then, we’ve seen a lot of ups and downs with SWTOR. As you will see, we’re writing about other games here as well, but SWTOR will always be the game that it was all founded upon. So with that in mind, we’ve seen this topic brought up time and time again. Is SWTOR dead or dying? Is anyone still playing? If you were someone who played in the beginning and you’re looking to come back now, is it worth it? Is there anyone still playing or anything to come back to? First, we’re going to give our answer: yes. Yes, there is still…

The moment Star Wars fans have been waiting for has finally arrived. Fans have been itching for and asking for a film about Obi-Wan Kenobi and now it’s officially been released. We now have confirmation that an Obi-Wan Kenobi film is in the works. It’s at the planning stages and Stephen Daldry is negotiating the project. It’s very early in the planning phase to know too many details as of yet, but the rumor is Daldry will probably write and direct if he gets signed on. Hollywood Reporter says: “The Obi-Wan Kenobi stand-alone is one of several projects being developed by Lucasfilm and Disney that fall outside the trilogies telling the saga of the Skywalker family. A Han Solo movie is now in the final stages of shooting under new director Ron Howard, and Lucasfilm is also considering pics centering on Yoda and bounty hunter Boba Fett, among other characters….

Less than a month ago, the first Jedi Outcast VR version was released, but he’s not going to stop there. He’s still working on it and you can expect there…

There is one Star Wars game that consistently reigns supreme as one of the best Star Wars games of all time. Knights of the Old Republic Now, we might see this game return. As Lucasfilm plans the future of Star Wars, there is an indie development studio based in Atlanta, called Poem Games, that is looking to rebuild KOTOR. It is a labor of love that is already ten years in the making. It’s called Apeiron and you can learn more about it…

Star Wars: Uprising was an action role-playing game by Kabam and published by Disney Interactive Studios for iOS and Android. It was released on September 9, 2015. Unfortunately, it would have a very short life since it was shut down in November 2016. It was a game that had a lot of potential and came along at a time when…
Star Wars Battlefront II Builds High Hopes
There is no shortage of competition in the AAA video game industry. Although the time between now and the first quarter of 2018 is replete with big titles coming out, Electronic Arts remains confident that it can deliver on high hopes with Star Wars Battlefront II. Last month, EA CEO Andrew Wilson expressed a positive outlook for the game, stating it was “coming together really, really strong” and praised the reception of both the single-player and multiplayer modes. Optimism is to be expected – it would be strange for Wilson to express doom and gloom – but EA has not changed its estimation of selling 14 million units despite all the optimism. Whether or not you agree with it substantively, Battlefront I got a lot of criticism. For Wilson to say now that EA has presumably fixed the worst aspects of Battlefront I and feel “very energized” about the direction…
This Star Wars Indie Game Looks Amazing – The Galactic Civil War

Here is a summary from the creator: “The Galactic Civil War is a free, standalone game based on the struggle between the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire. Just go ahead and try it. The Best Star Wars Game Never Made? – Investigating Star Wars 1313
You know how we love Star Wars games around here, and this isn’t the first time a game we were excited about has been cancelled, but Star Wars 1313 was unique in that it had a gritty, darker feel to it than any other Star Wars game to come out before it. It really spoke to an older audience and it was going to be a great 3rd person shooter, even without the Star Wars theme to it. Add that element, that you could be your own bounty hunter, and you can see why it really stood out to a certain class of fans. It was also evolved to look like Boba Fett would be the lead in this game. Either way, it was never meant to be, so we’d never see this come to life. If you want to learn more about the game that would never be, check…
Otakon 2016 Star Wars Photoshoot
There are many exciting things happening at Oktakon, one of my favorite conventions. However, the cosplayers are definitely one of my favorite parts. It’s so much fun to see all the cosplayers around the convention and to see the very creative ways people find to enact their favorite characters. It’s really the best of the best, and a ton of fun. Last year had a lot of great cosplay photoshoots, but there was one in particular that really stood out to me. I knew I just HAD to be at that one and it did not disappoint. One of my favorite parts of Otakon last year was the Star Wars photoshoot. The newest Star Wars movie had just released and people were seriously in the Star Wars spirit. There were people from near and far, young and old, dressed as their favorite characters from the Star Wars Universe and it…
Battlefront Cinematic – A Tale of Two Friends
War is hard. Real life is hard. If there’s one thing we know about the Star Wars Universe, it’s that it mirrors real life in a variety of ways. Perhaps that is one reason so many people can relate to it. We see parts of ourselves in the characters and parts of our own worlds in the Star Wars Universe. It’s no surprise then, that we see fan films come around that highlight that fact for us even more. Here’s a really well done Battlefront Cinematic that puts us in the positive of the Stormtroopers. No matter which side you root for when you play (and watch the movies) you can still see the humanity of both sides and this cinematic highlights all of that. We love fan films, and we love cinematics that take a game like Battlefront and make it into something more. Finding a unique story, or…
Remembering Fallen MMOs: Star Wars Galaxies
Did you play Star Wars Galaxies? We’ve talked about it a lot here before because it is still one of the most popular Star Wars games to date. If you missed out on it back then, there’s still a way for you to play it now, which we will add at the end. For now, let’s take a look at all that this video has to show us about SWG. In this video below, The Positive Gamer talks about what made SWG so popular, how it was different from other games when it first came out, and how it differed from other Star Wars games up to that point. There was player-built housing, within player-built cities, and it was an entirely new concept from other games of the type. It didn’t have tons of NPCs to fill roles within the world. Instead, the expansive world of SWG had players fill these roles…

WHATEVER HAPPENED TO MACE WINDU? (A Star Wars Fan Film)
Sometime after the fallout of “Revenge of the Sith” and before the events of “Rogue One”, Mace Windu found his way to a desert planet with no name, where he prepares his counter-strike against the Galactic Empire and his nemesis- Darth Vader. Here’s what happens when Windu faces up against Vader. You know how we love our fan films here and this is no exception. It’s a fun little short, clocking in at just over 10 minutes and it’s well worth taking the time to give it a watch. A Battlefront 2 Alpha leaker revealed some really cool stuff about the upcoming game. Some lucky elites were given invites to the closed Alpha for the game and no one really knows much more about what’s going to be in Battlefront 2, but one of those Alpha players has leaked some info via a thread on Reddit. “Some Battlefront 2 Alpha files were just leaked that contain new Heroes/Villains and special characters! Kylo Ren: Smuggler’s Son (A Star Wars Fan Film)
Brought to you by Shattered Star Productions, here’s a short (just over 10 minutes long) fan film that we absolutely love. The story is moving, the special effects are great, and the entire production is well done. If you’re into Star Wars fan films, here’s another you’re going to want to check out. Have you ever thought about what it would be like to be a smuggler’s son? What kind of family life would a smuggler have? Honestly, the real reason many of them had no family at all is because it’s easier to fly solo than to be away from the ones who care about you. Here’s a film that touches on some of those issues. A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away… The Dark Side of the Force has a new acolyte: the young man once known as Ben Solo, but who now terrorizes the galaxy…
Star Wars: The Old Republic Netflix Series Petition Closes In On 200,000 Signatures
Remember when we told you how fans wanted Netflix to bring a Star Wars: The Old Republic series? Well, that petition has really been gaining traction since we last mentioned it. Now it’s closing in on 200,000 signatures and it’s not too late for you to get your signature in. They need fewer than 5,000 to meet their goal. If you want to see Disney agree to bring an Old-Republic-era Star Wars series to Netflix, then head on over, read it, and add your sig to the list. It only takes a minute and it’s really easy to do. Why The Old Republic? “The Old Republic era is a pivotal point in the Star Wars timeline because that’s where everything changed, from the Jedi Civil War and the fall of Revan, the First Jedi Purge, and an omnipresent darkness that not only watched the chaos from afar but also kick-started the downfall….
Outer Rim Fan Film
You know how we love our Star Wars fan films but here’s one that stretches the imagination to show us what may have been happening to some people amidst the war between the Empire and the rebellion. While the main films focus on the action and all the heroes and villains there at ground zero, here’s a fan film that shows us what some everyday people might have been doing. Truth be told, many people living on the outer edge of the galaxy probably weren’t paying all that much attention to the battles going on. They were likely just going on about their daily business. Director Thomas R. Wood brings us the story of two doofuses who weren’t all that interested in the war going on around them. It’s a fun, humorous little short that’s been called the “Dude, Where’s My Car?” of Star Wars. The two friends are working…

Disney’s Possible Smoke and Mirrors Campaign
If you’ve followed Lucasfilm/LucasArts in the past, you know they go to great lengths to hide their story and plot when new films are coming out. Some of the crew of the original films even said they never got the full script – only the parts that applied to them – so no one knew the full story. The new films are operating on the same level of secrecy and this means it’s difficult to find anything but rumors when it comes to the making of the films. However, since rumors abound and leaks hit Episode 7 just months before it was revealed, some wonder if Disney is operating a campaign to be one step ahead of potential leaks. So some question the number of leaks coming out now and the potential that Disney could be running their own smoke and mirrors campaign to throw people off track. One of…
