There is a lot of buzz about Star Wars Battlefront 2 going around, as the much anticipated game will be launching this year. The recent DICE games of Battlefield and Battlefront have seen a growth in sales over time where games like Call of Duty are on the decline in sales. The Call of Duty franchise was a massive hit but it may have already peaked. This article from Gamer Headquarters talks about how Battlefront 2 could beat Call of Duty when it comes to sales. Here’s part of what they had to say about it: “The first Star Wars Battlefront topped over 14 million sales which is damn impressive for a franchise that’s been sitting dormant for many years. Sure, carrying the Star Wars name is helpful though to hit that level of sales is most certainly impressive. This really being for any game as few hit that high…

Countdown – A Star Wars Fan Film
Here’s another great Star Wars fan film that went above and beyond to share their story. I’ll let you watch it to see what I mean by that statement, but for now, let’s move on to the story. In a desperate attempt to save the future, Xenia travels back in time to a pivotal moment in history–the untimely assassination of Senator Desera–hoping that by saving the senator, she can change the course of history for the better. It was great story, it has action, and the fight/lightsaber scenes are great. The acting is good and the dialogue isn’t stiff like with some fan films. Costumes and props are also nicely done. All in all, it hits all the marks for what I’d say makes a great film. You can tell a lot of time and dedication went into this which is part of what I love the most about Star…

KOTOR ULTIMATE Taris Upper City!! Kotor Mod Showcase
Xuul has a new episode of the KOTOR mod showcase and we think you will really like it. It’s great to see that players are still supporting the KOTOR community, especially so many years after the game has been out. When many games would just die off, the fans have kept KOTOR alive and well. Mods are one way that this happens, since it brings new content and experience to the game, no matter how old it is and despite the fact that the original publisher is no longer updating the game. In this video, Xuul goes over another module from the ULTIMATE 2.0 series. This module covers the Taris Upper City. It’s the new series of the KOTOR texture pack and it keeps a close artistic feel and look of the original. Basically, it’s like the original but updated to look better and have more detail. It’s shinier and sharper but it…
McDonald’s Channels the Dark Side with Imperial-Inspired Uniforms
We bet whoever designed the new McDonald’s uniforms wasn’t using Star Wars as inspiration but good luck trying to tell the Internet that, now that the video and pics have been revealed. McDonald’s tweeted a video of how their uniforms have changed over the years and honestly, the newest design is the best of the bunch. That said, the internet couldn’t help having some fun trolling the fast food restaurant train when they realized the new grey uniforms bear a striking resemblance to the same uniform worn by a certain set of bad guys in the Star Wars franchise. Take a look and see if it jumps out to you like it did so many others on the Internet. Check out how our uniforms have changed over the years to keep our teams looking and feeling their best! #TBT pic.twitter.com/pCcRwaM6B4 — McDonald’s (@McDonalds) April 20, 2017 If you watch to…
Could Jar Jar Binks Be Playable Character in Star Wars Battlefront 2?
And if he was, would anyone actually want to play him? Once crowned the most hated Star Wars character of all time, Jar Jar Binks has a rich history. While many didn’t see him as the great, lovable character that Lucas envisioned, there are still fans out there. Would you want to play him in Battlefront 2? Last week there was a lot of information finally released about the game, including a launch date for November this year. The developers finally started dishing out more details that fans have been waiting on for some time. Among the info about the story and overall gameplay, they also said they weren’t ruling out Jar Jar as a potential playable character. Last week at Star Wars Celebration, the game saw its official reveal, along with a release date. They also teased some original trilogy characters, as well as some of the new ones…
Why Jedi Have To Be Trained So Young
Why must Jedi initiates be taken away from their parents to be trained as Jedi at such a young age? We explain why this is and look at examples of when this did not occur and left students destined down a path of darkness. We also look at good examples when students who joined the order much later excelled in their duties as Jedi knights. Have you ever noticed how Jedi are always really young when they were trained? Many were taken from their homes and their families when they were just young children. So what is the reason for this? Some people think it’s because they want to get the Jedi before they love. This isn’t exactly the truth. While it’s true that they want to get them before they form attachments, this doesn’t mean they don’t want them to love. Love is okay – and even encouraged. But…
KOTOR M4-78 A History: The M4-78 that could have been
KOTOR has long been ranked as one of the best Star Wars games ever made. If you were a fan, then we don’t have to explain why. Even if you never played it yourself, you’ve had to have heard about it here and there. We post about the KOTOR series often here on the site and there is still content and info coming out about it, despite its age, because that’s how much the Star Wars community loves it. So with that in mind, here’s another cool video we found with some useful information in it. It’s a bit long but it definitely has some interesting information about this subject. It’s part of a series from Xuul so you can follow their channel for more and to keep up with anything new they put out. Here’s an interesting video about the M4-78. It covers a history of the project and also why…
Star Wars the Force Unleashed 3 Prototype Footage
Here is some great footage of Star Wars the Force Unleashed 3 from a prototype. Credit goes to Corra_Ashu for uploading the original footage although we are not sure where that person originally got it either. It’s still pretty cool to look at and it really gives us an idea of what this game could have been. As we’ve written about plenty of times here, the Star Wars universe is no stranger to cancelled projects, especially when it comes to games. We have seen so many cancelled Star Wars games, it’s almost difficult to count. One project that was unfortunately killed was the third installment of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. This is a game that fans of the series were definitely looking forward to so it was a bit letdown when they announced it was cancelled. Really, it never even got as far off the ground as some other cancelled…
Battlefront II Will Be a Better Game but Possible Financial Disappointment
If you’re like the rest of us, you might be anxiously awaiting Battlefront II. The thing is, we don’t really know very much about it. That’s how they generally do these games. Anything Star Wars, especially since the new films have started production, is kept under lock and key for the most part, until it’s ready for release. That leaves a lot of open doors for speculation and Mathew Falvai of a90skid.com has some theories on what will happen with Battlefront II. In this post, he describes why he thinks it will be a better game but an overall financial disappointment. “My prediction is that gamers will do what they traditionally do and judge a game based on their last experience. The new Battlefront promises more robust single-player content, and an actual campaign, fixing two of the major issues. With the foundation of a jaw-droppingly beautiful engine and reusable assets already in place, DICE had…
Is BioWare Rebooting KOTOR?
There are few Star Wars games (if any) acclaimed as high as KOTOR. Knights of the Old Republic is a huge favorite in the Star Wars gaming scene and for good reason. It was an excellent game, beautifully designed, with a wonderful story. Players have been wanting a new KOTOR game for a long time now. We hear of a rumor that says BioWare might actually be working on exactly that! The rumor originates with gaming journalist Liam Robertson, who discussed the topic recently on his Patreon page. He doesn’t cite his sources which makes this hearsay but it’s an interesting enough rumor that we’ll go ahead and pass it on to you. Again, this is JUST rumor at this point and we can’t do more than speculate but with how much everyone wants to see a new KOTOR game, it can be fun to speculate that this rumor is true. Here’s…
Get Your Hands on Battlefront II at EA PLAY
If you’re excited for Battlefront II and want the chance to try it out for yourself, it’s a good idea to be at EA PLAY. So if you’re headed there in June, you’re going to get another extra surprise. In addition to allowing you to play the game, you will also get to see more details about it. This also means those of us at home will hopefully get to learn more about the game. In a recent post detailing that tickets will be bookable for EA PLAY starting April 20, EA revealed that attendees “will get hands on” with the next Battlefront game. If that’s not reason enough for many to buy a ticket, I don’t know what is. EA PLAY is happening from June 10th to June 12th at The Hollywood Palladium in California. This is the second year in a row that EA has had this Pre-E3 event…
A History of Cancelled Star Wars Games
““Star Wars is one of the most popular settings in all of video games, so it’s no surprise that its owners are continually looking to create new bestselling games in the galaxy far, far away. But for every smash-hit like the Jedi Knight series, Battlefront, and Knights of the Old Republic, there are several games that never see the light of day. Games are cancelled for any of a number of reasons. But whether it’s the publisher canning the game late in development or an early concept that never gets fleshed out, it’s always disappointing to see games with huge potential left on the cutting room floor.” How many times have we written about a cancelled Star Wars game here? Even worse is when we tell you about a new game in the making that we’re really excited for, only to find out later, it’s been cut. We hate bringing…
EA to Share about Battlefront II at Star Wars Celebration
We’re only a few days away from Star Wars Celebration and that means we’re close to seeing what EA has to reveal about Battlefront II. EA has already promised a reveal trailer for the game on April 15th, but it would seem they are going to give us more than just that. In a post on the forums, Community Manager Mathew Everett teased there could be more info coming for fans. “I am honestly looking forward to the overall reactions,” he wrote. “It’s super easy to speculate currently and wouldn’t expect anything less at this point, but we have a lot to share and Celebration is 10 days away and the reveal just 12 days.” He also had a little something to say about Clone Wars/Prequel Trilogy content, which players have been asking about. “Our team has revealed multiple eras, a bigger game and the title,” he wrote in response to…
Regrets of the Past – Star Wars Fan Film
I love Star Wars fan films, something you probably already know if you’ve been following the site for any length of time. There is no shortage of these films on the internet today but some far outside the others when it comes to quality, story, and all those other things that make a great film. Here’s one that is definitely worth the watch. A lot more work went into this than what we see with short films and it shows. It’s nearly an hour long and it had more than 150 people on the crew. Many working professionals put their own spare time into this project to make it possible for us to enjoy. It’s amazing and is truly a cut above many of the others we write about and share with you here on the site. This one deserves more views. So go ahead and pop some popcorn, or…
Star Wars Gaming Interactive Timeline
Star Wars video games go back to 1982 (a year I am also fond of because it brought me to the world). Some readers may not be old enough to remember the earliest Star Wars games but it’s safe to say any Star Wars fan knows that there have been many more than just the recent surge in games. What if there was a way to see them all in one place? What if you could literally track Star Wars gaming back to 1982? Well, you can. Of course you can. This is the internet and the internet has everything. Huge thanks to Josh Bush (who goes by the name of “Cheese”) who has made this a possibility via an interactive timeline. The timeline covers basically every Star Wars game released, from the Empire Strike Back title published for the Atari 2600 in 1982 to Force Arena, which arrived to mobile platforms just…
Eternal Fanfilm Project
Eternal is an ambitious Star Wars fanfilm project based in Bristol and run by students passionate about Star Wars and Film-Making. Just like all projects of this nature, they need your help to make it happen. We’re really passionate about fan projects like this here because as fans ourselves, we know how much effort and care goes into these projects. We know just how much fans can care about the things they love and we know that some of the best Star Wars projects are fan made projects. This is why we want to tell you about Eternal and how you can help if you choose to do so. The Story 5000 years before the events of Death Stars and Skywalkers, there was the Eternal Empire: a great dominion, led by a fractured family, that conquered both Jedi and Sith alike. Eternal is a Star Wars fan film dedicated to…
Why Revan Was Forced to Become Sith Lord
Revan is one of the best known Sith Lords in Star Wars lore but what made him become a Sith Lord in the first place? Can you believe that one of the greatest Siths to ever live didn’t actually choose that path? He was forced into it but once he felt a taste of that power and control, he was hooked. How much do you really know about Revan? Do you know about his life? What kind of life he had before? What pushed him into the life of a Sith? What did he do after finding himself in this position? Most of us known all about what happened once he turned to the Dark Side. He was the stuff legends are made of. So made the legend? Here’s a video that breaks it all down for you. I love these Star Wars “history” videos that helps you understand just…
Top 7 Most Powerful Sith Lords – Star Wars
There have been many powerful Sith in Star Wars lore. There’s Darth Bane, Darth Maul, and the very popular Darth Vader. There was also Exar Kun and Marka Ragnos (who ruled for over 100 years). Then we also don’t want to forget Lord Vitiate or Darth Sidious. How do you even begin to put all that dark evilness into a list? Whether you are a full-fledged fan of the Dark Side, or someone who leans toward the Light, you still have to give credit where it’s due when it comes to these amazing, powerful Dark Lords. It’s hard to compete with the likes of bad guys who can destroy entire planets with just their minds. Also, they wear capes. How cool is that? This video from Star Wars Theory covers from of the most powerful Sith Lords (as listed below) and a brief history of how they came to be. This is…
Rumored Star Wars Actors for New Netflix Show
Star Wars: The Old Republic is one of the best Star Wars games to date. You know we love it and we know our readers love it. Now what if there was a new show set in the Old Republic era? Netflix wants to bring us just that. Almost 200,000 fans have petitioned to Disney via Change.org for an “Old Republic Era” TV series and it seems like Disney is taking notice. According to the recent scoop from Hollywood Reporter, Ted Sarandos (Chief Content Officer) at Netflix had some initial talks on this subject with Disney. The rumor says there are even some great scripts they are going through to see if the series would be a good fit. It’s definitely something exciting that we plan to follow to see what happens with it. We still have no idea if it’s actually going to be a thing (here’s hoping) but Entertain-O-Rama has…
How Marka Ragnos Created The Most Powerful Sith of All Time
“The chains of the grave cannot hold a Dark Lord of the Sith…“―Marka Ragnos Who was the most powerful Sith of all time and how did he come to be? Over the history of Star Wars, we’ve seen fallen Jedi and those who swapped sides. Marka Ragnos was a half-breed Dark Lord of the Sith with very rare, powerful ability and strength. He lived during the time of the first Sith Empire. Ragnos defeated Simus, who was beheaded in the battle with the other aspiring Dark Lord. He lived for more than a hundred years, growing in power. He died shortly before the Great Hyperspace War and lived on as a Force ghost after his death. Ragnos would go down in history for more than just his own standing as a great, strong Dark Lord. However, he would also be known for inspiring the Sith with respect, and also for…
The Deleted Revan Scene from The Clone Wars
Darth Revan speaks with The Son of Mortis in this deleted scene from The Clone Wars. Chances are, you’ve heard of this epic deleted scene from The Clone Wars Season 3: Ghosts of Mortis but you might not know what it’s all about. There is a lot of chatter over this scene because it basically shows us how Darth Revan was almost canon. Is the cut scene still considered canon within Star Wars story? We’ll explore that a bit after but if you have yet to see the scene, watch the video below. See the delete scene for yourself here: So now that you’ve seen it, what is it all about? Here is this scene, we see that the Son has been influenced by two dark entities. They want him to control “The Chosen One”, Anakin Skywalker and bring the world into Darkness. So why did the scene get deleted?…
Could Darth Revan Return to Star Wars Canon? Has He Already Been Seen?
Will we ever see Darth Revan reappear in Star Wars canon? Have we actually already seen this Legends-favorite Sith Lord? Darth Revan is arguably one of the most well known Sith Lords of all time. He has a huge following and it’s easy to understand why. That’s why it’s easy to see why so many fans want him to return to canon. It almost happened in a recent episode of The Clone Wars but the scene was deleted because Lucas felt it wasn’t keeping with the Star Wars legend he had created. Those from the Dark Side were not supposed to be able to return to the living after death. So it was a scrapped scene but a good prediction of what may have been. While Lucas doesn’t want to see Revan come back in this way, that doesn’t mean we’ll never see him return. He could return to canon…
