Last Thursday, Lucasfilm and Disney both let everyone know about the newest update for Star Wars: Commander, the mobile game, which has a new storyline and different elements that can be used during gameplay. The popular mobile game was originally released in August of 2014 and since then it’s been a favorite among many, having 15 million downloads so far. This new campaign is called “Secret Alliances”, and the main goal is players fighting to keep the fate of the planet Er’Kit secure. Some of the new gameplay elements that are included are contraband, traps, and Starships. BioWare will be adding a new feature called Mount Flourish. This feature will only affect the moutns that will be released in the future, and not existing ones. MARVEL’S STAR WARS Leads JANUARY 2015 Comic Book Sales to Robust Start of the Year
The new line of Star Wars comics are making a big hit in the New Year after Diamond Comic Distributors revealed their sales charts for January 2015. The hit comic series is sitting pretty at the #1 position. Marvel has seven out of the Top Ten Comic Books in January 2015 and four of them were new comic series. When you compare January 2015 with past months, the sales did not rate did not rise for individual comics but the increase did come from graphic novels by 9%. When you take a look at the YTD, Year-to-Date, sales it has seen a great increase. Overall sales went up by 12.27% and graphic novels are a major reason for this increase. PTS Patch 3.1.1 Update #2 Notes
The SWTOR Public tester servers is getting an update for patch 3.1.1. Here are the comming class changes: Bounty Hunter Mercenary Arsenal Pinning Fire now slows the target’s movement speed by 70% for 3 seconds with each hit (up from 2 seconds). Powertech Returned the post-depletion cooldown of Shoulder Cannon to 1.5 minutes (down from 2 minutes). Slightly reduced the damage of Shoulder Cannon. Pyrotech Automated Defenses now additionally reduces the cooldown of Kolto Overload by 60 seconds (up from 30 seconds). Trooper Commando Gunnery Cover Fire now slows the target’s movement speed by 70% for 3 seconds with each hit (up from 2 seconds). Vanguard Returned the post-depletion cooldown of Shoulder Cannon to 1.5 minutes (down from 2 minutes). Slightly reduced the damage of Shoulder Cannon. Plasmatech Adrenaline Fueled now additionally reduces the cooldown of Adrenaline Rush by 60 seconds (up from 30 seconds).

Bioware Canceled Shadow Realms to Focus on SWTOR
Today, GameInformer reported that Shadow Realms, a 4v1 action RPG in development at BioWare Austin, has been canceled. Shortly after this new went out, BioWare Austin GM Jeff Hickman confirmed the news himself. “We’ve made the decision to not move forward with development of Shadow Realms,” wrote Hickman in a post on the official site. He went on to explain that “right now there are other projects for the team to work on within the BioWare studios for the coming year and beyond,” citing Star Wars: The Old Republic as the biggest focus, followed by Dragon Age: Inquisition, the next Mass Effect game, and “other new IP.”” This is unfortunate news for fans who were looking forward to the game and also some may find it disappointing to see so many potential games getting the axe before they ever get to production. SWTOR Patch 3.1 Postponed to Thursday
SWTOR Patch 3.1 will be postponed one day and go live on Thursday to avoid an emergency patch. This meens that the Start of Season 4 PvP and Bounty Contract Week will also be postponed until then: Scheduled Maintenance: 12 February 2015 | 02.09.2015, 09:11 PM Hey everyone, We have addressed some issues that we would have otherwise had to have an Emergency Patch for so, in order to avoid that, the release of 3.1 has been moved to Thursday, February 12th from 3AM PST (11:00 GMT) to 7AM PST (15:00 GMT). SWTOR Controller 3.0: Which One Would Be Yours?
Here it is… the new SWTOR controller 3.o. It has everything you need for a hilarious, I mean, fun time playing the class of your choice. You may need to make the image bigger to see all the details but we think you’ll like it as much as we did. The Hatred Assassin, for example, has the “Instant win” button. It also has buttons for resetting the battle the 1st, 2nd and 3rd time. Lightning Sorc has the “ForceSpam” button and don’t forget about all of those LOLs. All in all, it’s a pretty hilarious diagram and we know our readers can appreciate it as well. Some Interesting Theories on Kylo Ren’s Lightsaber
Since we first saw the trailer, Kylo Ren’s lightsaber has drawn a lot of criticism. People have said that it’s weird, complained about it, even started a hilarious meme based on it (my favorite is the Swiss army lightsaber). But a few others have given it more thought. For example, FastCo posted a great defense of the saber in which they pointed out that Luke lost a hand, Vader lost a hand twice, and Count Dooku lost both hands—all because they didn’t have a crossguard. They also have a few interesting ideas about what it says about Ren. One of the most interesting ideas that’s surfaced is that this isn’t a lightsaber at all, but a Forcesaber (an example of which is pictured above), an extremely ancient weapon that channels dark Force energy through crystals to form a blade. After the release of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer, Star Wars fans were in awe and thrilled about the upcoming blockbuster hit. We have written before about Star Wars tattoos (like the SWTOR tats that the dynamic duo,Dr. Greg Zeschuk and Cory Butler got) and these fans who love SWTOR enough to get inked forever. SWTOR patch 3.1 Datamined – Prinawe Mounts comming soon?
swtor_potato have discovered Several Prinawe mounts in SWTOR, while Datamining patch 3.1. It’s not completely certain how they will be added to the game, but dataminers say it might be a reward for future cantina tours.
