If you are just itching to see more of The Force Awakens while we await the actual release of the movie, you’re going to love this exclusive from Entertainment Weekly. While we’ve seen one or two of these in the trailers already, most of the imagery is new, giving us another little taste of what we can expect from the film. The Marketing for The Force Awakens is in full swing and from now until the big reveal day, we can expect to see many more little goodies released. In these exclusive images, we see some amazing scenes from the film. There’s a Resistance X-Wing flying overhead as two Stormtroopers are met with demise. “We had women in stormtrooper costumes in the movie,” Abrams says, so audiences will be seeing a mixed gender fighting force from The First Order whether they realize it or not. (The armor isn’t form-fitting, of course.) We see some amazing scenes…

The Force Unleashed 3: What Might Have Been
Have you ever thought about what might have been if the developers ever got the chance to finish making The Force Unleashed 3? It’s a realistic question for fans, especially fans of the series, and now we might have a few answers to our speculations. Former LucastArts Creative Director Haden Blackman spoke with Cinelinx.com about the games and also what could be in store for the franchise in the future. Here is a snippet from the initial post by cinelinx: The Force Unleashed games were a big deal, and became multi-media endeavors for Lucasfilm, serving as a “canonical” tale set just before the events of the original trilogy. While that’s since been changed, the games are still something fans think about, mostly because of the way it told a new Star Wars story. While many fans weren’t pleased with the rushed and too short The Force Unleashed II, many have wondered what…
Happy Life Day! The Star Wars Holiday Special Anniversary
Today marks the anniversary of The Star Wars Holiday Special. I wasn’t alive back in 1978 but as a long-time Star Wars fan, I heard about it and of course, wanted to see it. While November 17, 1978 marked the first AND last time this two-hour musical variety show would be aired (thank you CBS), it is still possible to find it on the Internet if you’re so inclined. While the special was intended to capitalize on the success of the 1977 movie and hold fans over until the 1980 release of The Empire Strikes Back, things did not go as planned. It ended up being a terrible flop. I mean, really terrible. Reportedly, George Lucas was only tangentially involved in the production and he hated it so much, he tried to make it disappear. Leave it to the Internet to revive what should be left to die, but I digress. The basic premise of the…

Putting a Freeze on Your SWTOR Account
What if you had an emergency and you knew you would not be able to play your SWTOR account for an extended period of time but you’d already paid for your subscription? That is exactly what happened to one player and Bioware stepped up to offer a solution. A user who goes by the name Dragoon- on Reddit tells the story of how his father passed away in October and knowing he needed time to deal with his grief and also help his mother and family, he called Bioware to see what they could do for it. He shared his tip-of-the-hat story for all to see: My dad died in the evening of the 20th Oct.. I played less than 2 hours KoftFE before I got the call. Since then I haven’t played Swtor anymore, mainly because I have to take care of my mom, do tons of paperwork and file it…
Terminally Ill Daniel Fleetwood who saw ‘Star Wars’ early has died #ForceForDaniel
If you have not yet heard the story of Daniel Fleetwood, get your tissues ready. The 32-year-old is terminally ill, suffering from spindle cell carcinoma, a type of cancer. Recently he found out 90 percent of his lungs are filled with tumors, and this past Tuesday, he beat his doctor’s prognosis giving him just two months to live. “I am pushing through this,” says Daniel, who takes frequent breaks to catch his breath. “I’m still here.” In his interview with PEOPLE, he goes on to explain how he has been a fan of Star Wars most of his life. The Houston, Texas native dreams about the series, follows the message boards and writes fan fiction of it. FLeetwood also had a dying wish: to see the new film The Force Awakens. Unfortunately, there is a good chance Daniel won’t still be living when the movie is released. “If I got to see…
First ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ TV Spot Looks to a New Generation’s Story
Disney has now released what will likely be the first of many TV spots. While we were told that there would be no more official trailers, who can say how many TV spots there will be between now and the big reveal day? While we still know very little about the plot, the latest TV spot and other marketing tells us a bit more. We can see that this will be a bit of a “passing of the torch” kind of story, at least in part. On the light side, we have Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Finn (John Boyega) taking over for Leia (Carrie Fisher) and Han Solo (Harrison Ford), and over on the dark side, we see Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) promising to finish what Darth Vader started. There’s lots of questions about where Luke is but our guess is this is not going to be revealed until much…

Thoughts on SWTOR Elder Game Crafting
In the final days before KotFE was released, a series of developer posts were published telling us many of the new things we would experience in the game. Of these, we also saw the Crafting Changes in Fallen Empire developer blog that we previously shared with you. In that, we had an announcement on the Elder Game Crafting along with some basic info about what this would be. SWTOR Economics has taken this section and broken it down more for additional analysis, given us as much information as really anyone has at that point. Andrew talks about reverse engineering, crafting gear, what impact this gear will have on stats, how new material is acquired and more. It’s a good summary of what we know so far with some speculation on how this will affect the game and economics of SWTOR. See here: There is a lot of missing information that will…
Best Star Wars Games Of The 16-Bit Generation: Do You Agree?
Anyone who has read my posts here knows that I am a Star Wars games fan. I think most of us can say the same, that’s why you’re here reading this. What you might not know is that I am also a big fan of the 16-bit generation. I was born in the 80s and I grew up in the heyday of the Super Nintendo and SEGA Genesis generations. StarWars.com has written a post featuring the best Star Wars games of the 16-bit generation and I gotta say, the nostalgia is strong! After looking over their list, I have to say that I agree with most of them. Here are the games that made their list. You can read the full post to see why they chose each one. Star Wars: X-Wing As a girl, I dreamed of being a pilot. Flight simulator games have long been a favorite of…
StarWars Uprising: Gear Types and Stats
There is a great post in the Uprising Subreddit that gives you all the info you need to know about gear types and stats. It has since been added to the game guides section so you can find it along with other great tools to help you in Star Wars: Uprising. Here is an overview: All the gear in the game has 3 primary stats, and 0 to 3 secondary stats. All of those stats can belong to one of 3 main categories: Offensive, Defensive and Utility. Please note that only Offensive and Defensive stats matter for PR, while Utility has more intangible advantages. At the moment precise correlation between the stats in the PR formula is unknown; it is clear that there’s no simple arithmetic addition or even multiplication, there’s more behind the curtain, but at least it’s clear that the addition of more stat usually gives more PR than comparison…

Star Wars Battlefront is on the way soon (finally) and it’s no surprise that people are looking to learn more about the game, what they can expect, and what to make of the rumors. With beta testing concluding, we now have a bigger picture of what to expect from the actual release of the game in less than a month. If you want to have some of your questions answered direct from the source, you might appreciate this. Viktor Lundberg, the Mission Scripter for Star Wars Battlefront has answered some of the questions regarding the Training Mission on their website. It’s worth the time to read it all for yourself but here’s a snippet: What do the Training Missions consist of? There are five different Training…
Lucasfilm Thank You Letter to All Star Wars Fans
Is it really any surprise that fans everywhere are super excited about the new Star Wars film? I, for one, knew it would happen. I don’t think anyone would really argue that point. But after the full trailer released, my social media feeds were filled with Star Wars talk. Websites crashed, hashtags soared to the top of trending topics… it was being discussed in schools and workplaces everywhere. That is the power of Star Wars and the new film has people everywhere excited. This did not go unnoticed with Lucasfilm (and likely not unexpected either) so they took time to write up an official Thank You letter to fans. In this post, they explain just how strong the Force is with fans across the globe: After two record-breaking teasers, the full trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens debuted earlier this week, and we are humbled by the response. The…
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 Official Update
After 10 years and seemingly out of nowhere, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 got a large update on Steam. It incorporated support for controllers, widescreen display support, 5K resolution and Steam Cloud saves. Then on October 18th, it happened again. While not as big as the update from earlier in the year, it still contained many significant changes. See an overview here: Thanks to everyone who submitted achievements for this update! Knights of the Fallen Empire Review
We’re all excited for Knights of the Fallen Empire and with the release date so close, we’re also anxious to see what early reviewers have to say about the expansion. Fraser Brown from PCGamesN had some interesting things to say about the expansion, including that it feels like a single-player game hiding in an MMO. This is technically something that has been said about SWTOR before but let’s go ahead and delve deeper into this KotFE review. “Knights of the Fallen Empire, then, is a potential course correction, steering the game toward that old pre-launch promise. It’s a mostly single-player expansion, focusing on the adventures of the Outlander, once the hero of the Galactic War, now the one obstacle in the way of the Eternal Empire’s dominance. It’s a “quintessential Star Wars story,” lead writer Charles Boyd tells me as he walks me through an early key decision in the…

No In-Game Voice Chat For Star Wars Battlefront
Adding to the growing list of things that Star Wars Battlefront will NOT have: in-game voice chat. EA has confirmed Star Wars Battlefront will not feature in-game voice chat on any of its three launch platforms. Players will have to use third-party software if they want to talk to other players in the game. @moodyknowsall Battlefront will utilize the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One built-in party system for in-game chat. — EAStarWars (@EAStarWars) October 13, 2015 And the PC version of the game will suffer the same fate: @RaiderGaming15 You can choose your favorite third party software to communicate with friends on PC — EAStarWars (@EAStarWars) October 13, 2015 As you would imagine, many players are disgruntled by the news that they will not be able to easily chat with other players while playing the game. While there are many players who enjoy using system-wide party chat on consoles and programs…
“Boycott Star Wars VII” Movement Says Film is “Anti-White”
Last night the trailer was released for Star Wars VII. It’s no surprise that people everywhere were talking about it. On Monday afternoon, the hashtag #BoycottStarWarsVII shot to the top of Twitter’s trending topics and if that one left you wondering, you might find this little story interesting (or infuriating). Or both. The people behind #BoycottStarWarsVII say the new movie is “promoting white genocide” and the so-called “movement” is asking others to boycott the movie. They also call Abrams a white-hating Jew. “#BoycottStarWarsVII because it is anti-white propaganda promoting #whitegenocide,” says one Tweet: #BoycottStarWarsVII because it is anti-white propaganda promoting #whitegenocide. — End Cultural Marxism (@genophilia) October 19, 2015 The same account also Tweeted: “A friend in LA said #StarWarsVII is basically ‘Deray in Space,’ ” — (a reference to civil rights activist DeRay Mckesson.) “Jewish activist JJ Abrams is an anti-white nut.” Another Twitter account, calling itself “Captain Confederacy” joined in saying:…

Star Wars Fans Crash Fandango Buying Movie Tickets
The Force is strong in Star Wars fans after the release of the most recent movie trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. In fact, it might be too strong. At least, too strong for ticket seller sites like Fandango that were not prepared for the massive traffic and orders that were to come. On Monday night, after the trailer was released, fans of Star Wars flooded the ticket-seller sites of Fandango, AMC Theatres, Alamo Drafthouse and other providers, grinding the ticket-selling process to a halt. If you were one of the many trying to buy tickets you may have noticed the lag, delays, and just outright site crashes. Tickets for opening night are sold out but tickets for the days following the opening day are still available. With the sites back up and running, you can head on over and gets yours now. As of Tuesday morning, all of the…

Star Wars Battlefront Official PlayStation Holiday 2015 Commercial
The Force Is Strong With PlayStation. This holiday season, you can get nostalgic and enjoy some Star Wars Battlefront. In this new commercial that aired on Sunday (October 18th), we see what happens when Star Wars kids grow up. It’s clear this commercial is meant to tug at the memories and heart strings of a certain era of people. The trailer features a guy stuck in a seemingly boring office job, reminiscing of his youth with a good friend (or brother, perhaps?), loving Star Wars. They take us through several years’ memories to show us just how much these boys loved their Star Wars. Then he looks back at the R2-D2 figurine in his hand when suddenly, there’s his friend/brother outside the office window with a pair of X-Wings. He breaks out (in a completely unrealistic way, using a chair) and jumps in to join his partner for some space battles….
