SWTOR Guide to Vanity Pets

When it comes to MMORPGs, I’m a pet girl. I have always loved my vanity pets and in every game that has them, I try to collect them all. I found out shortly after I got my first 4 that there were many more I did not have yet and I was on a mission to track them all down. I’m going to make it easier for you to get the pet or pets that you want by telling you just how to get them. We will update this guide as new pets are introduced to the game.

SWTOR vanity pets are non-combat pets that can be obtain in different ways:

If you want to have the best chance of getting as many pets as possible, then it’s important to learn where they come from and how to get them for yourself. There are some that you won’t be able to go back and get. For example, the Collector’s Edition pet if you did not purchase the CE of SWTOR or pets obtained from a world event once that event has passed. This is what increases the rarity and collectability of the vanity pets.

Some things to know about vanity pets in SWTOR:

– Pets are summoned/unsummoned from the PETS tab of your Abilities window
– You can only have a single pet summoned at a time
– You can have a pet and a companion summoned at the same time
– A summoned pet will follow you even if you are on a speeder

How to summon your pet?
When you obtain a pet right-click the pet item in your inventory to add a pet to your collection of pets. You can then summon it from the ‘general’ tab of your abilities page (press P for abilities window). By clicking on the pet icon the pet will be summoned.

How to unsummon your pet?
Press P for your abilities window, go to the general tab and click on the pet icon.

Now let’s take a look at all the vanity pets and where you get them. (Pics of each to come)
