Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes: Game update september 2019

The guys over at Capital Games has launch the next version update for Star Wars: Galaxy of heroes – featuring Relic Amplifiers and the Scavenger!

The Scavenger and Relics will be locked initially, so other than a handful of bug fixes (see below), there won’t be much to do for the first 24 hours . At that point, players will be required to update (if they haven’t already) in order to access the final features and fixes for this update.

Here’s what you’ll see for Relics and The Scavenger today:

Take your squad to the next level and power up your characters with Relic Amplifiers from the Star Wars universe! Each character has a unique Relic icon, signifying a new set of upgrades that provide stat boosts based on their role and aptitudes. Enhance the power of Relics such as Han Solo’s pistol, Yoda’s walking stick or Kylo Ren’s lightsaber, and other legendary items from the movies and TV shows.

The Scavenger

(For the full post, see here.)

This update introduces the Scavenger, a new Cantina guest who brings his knowledge of data cards to your collection! For the first time, you can now use your existing unused gear to create new items that enhance your Relics. Almost every single piece in your collection can be used to add value to characters! The Scavenger will make his appearance in the Cantina once you upgrade your first character to Gear Tier XIII.

  • Added pressed state highlights to mods.
  • Fixed interstitials so that the background isn’t over the pack image.
  • Fixed missing death voice for Bastilla Shan.
  • Resolved one of the issues that would cause ship battles to lock up.
  • Territory Commands can once again be an empty message.
  • 4:3 devices character will now match the size seen on 16:9 devices.
  • Added audio to the purchase button when buying mods in the find menu.
  • Fixed issue with using training droids in the unit training causing the items to redraw too frequently as users set their desired level.
  • Unit search criteria will now ignore accented characters to make it easier to find characters such as Padmé
  • Fixed a flicker that occurs when viewing the info for a Grand Arena Zone
  • Improved messaging around receiving a bye in Grand Arena.
  • Fixed an issue where Darth Maul’s Raging Storm would only grant the Physical damage half of Offense Up.
  • Fixed an issue where Clone Sergeant – Phase I’s Concentrated Fire would only grant the Physical damage half of Offense Up.
  • Fixed a bug that allowed players to enter tiers of the Flight of the Falcon Legendary event with a Capital Ship at a lower star rarity than is supposed to be required.
  • Fixed an issue where B2 Super Battle Droid’s Reactive Protocol wouldn’t always remove its effects when B2 was defeated.
  • Fixed an issue where Ahsoka Tano (Fulcrum)’s Perseverance and Chopper’s Maintenance Protocols would sometimes count the wrong number of buffs and debuffs.

  • Fixed an issue where Bastila Shan (Fallen)’s Sith Apprentice’s Foresight would expire after 2 turns instead of 1 turn.
  • Hera Syndulla can now use the Escape ability during raid encounters. Her Special abilities will still be disabled when there are no other active allies, accompanied by new UI elements that make this behavior more clear. In later updates, players should expect this conditional disable behavior to make its way to other units that behave in similar ways.

  • Fixed a rare issue that would cause an error in Fleet Arena when combat was entered via Feats.
  • Fixed an issue where the enemy Ki-Adi-Mundi in Separatist Might’s Phase 2 Territory 3 Combat Mission 1 would not properly deal double damage when using his Special “Overcome Weakness” against a debuffed enemy.
  • Fixed an issue where ability buttons would disappear when Ki Adi-Mundi would die during his attack
  • Fixed an issue where two Grand Arena opponents who both miss an entire round would get inconsistent messages about rewards.
  • Fixed an issue where incorrect information about the number of phases in the Geonosis Territory Battle was displayed in the first time tutorial
  • Fixed some display issues around bundle items and Gear 13 items in the Store & pack opening sequences.
  • Fixed an issue in which Chopper and Ahsoka Tano (Fulcrum) would dispel some buffs and debuffs incorrectly.

KNOWN ISSUES

(This section will be updated throughout the roll out.)

As part of this update, we’ve done a lot of work to shore up the game’s performance which has been at increased risk due to the addition of many new features and systems over the past few updates. This work included a major rewrite of some back-end systems. Although we have fixed most of the bugs that have popped up following this work, we will be updating this section with an accounting of known performance issues that do arise once the update is live, and will provide detailed updates should any of these issues grow beyond minor hiccups.
